TuneBugz Music class has become the highlight of our week. I won't lie, I thought it was a little goofy taking a 3 month old baby to a music class, but I was so desperate for something for the two of us to do during the winter months that I went ahead and signed baby girl up for a 10 week semester that we are now completing. Amber, the teacher, is so sweet and fun. If she isn't feeling good or having a bad day, you would never know it. Her attitude is always upbeat and happy. We have really gotten a lot out of going to these classes even though my daughter isn't even old enough to hold any of the instruments. One of my hobbies happens to be photography. One of my good friends happens to be Amber, the teacher/music guru who runs TuneBugz. She needed some photos for a print ad she is going to run, so I offered up my (free) services. Anyhoo, I've gotta say- I've never seen so many different kids in one gathering be so well behaved and focused. As soon as Amber started the class, they started dancing or clapping along with whatever was going on. The class kind of reminded me of one of those really immersive language courses where the instructor never stops speaking the language. Even when Amber was giving the parents instructions or letting them know what the next activity was, it would be in singsong. Props to Amber for keeping the Fine Arts alive in our youth! read more

My nephews LOVE their music class and LOVE Amber! The eldest is almost 4yrs old, and he's always loved to sing...so he's a natural, but i still saw a difference in him after just a couple of classes. He sings more clearly, he enunciates better, and his timing is MUCH better. My youngest nephew started classes when he was about 1yr old and he was painfully shy with strangers, has was even shy with ME, his loving Auntie Sharona! But now, woohoo!! He'll dance in front of ANYbody!! It has been a joy watching my nephews learn and grow under Amber's excellent (and caring!) tutelage. read more

I've been taking children to Music Together classes for more than 10 years and have experienced quite a few instructors. My standards are pretty high! The MT curriculum is outstanding, but the instructor can make or break a class. Amber is phenomenal! She brings authentic enthusiasm every week and is always well-prepared. She's also passionate about educating parents and caregivers on the science and theory behind the program which I really appreciate. She regularly encourages us to read our purple books! My twins love their weekly class at Tunebugz! Corley has been a great instructor, and we are super happy with the curriculum! I was curious as to how much they would get out of it, since they were only 4 months old when we started, but they clearly loved it from the start, and it's been really wonderful seeing them respond more actively each week as they become familiar with the songs. Music Together is a wonderful music program with amazing teachers, but the odd experience with Amber is just more drama than I'm up for dealing with. Just know this same program called Music Together has other locations run by different people (like Heartsong Music) if you aren't fitting for some reason. read more

We are about to enter our 3rd semester with Mrs. Amber and Tunebugz! and we couldn't be happier! My daughter is almost 2 years and she really looks forward to her weekly music class. All week she sings the songs she has learned. Learning music is a big take away but there's so much more. We started TuneBugz with my then 9 month old in September. She thoroughly enjoys class each week and it has been a joy to see her grow musically. I was so excited for my first 'mommy and me' class with my son, and I picked Tunebugz. Full disclosure, my son and I had to miss the first 2 classes in our session. So when we arrived on our first week (the rest of the classes' third week) it didn't bother me at all that the teacher had to stop the 'Good morning' song and confirm our names. Even on our second week when she did it, it didn't bother me. On our third week when we were still the only duo that she couldn't remember it started to get a little embarrassing. On our Fourth, FIFTH AND SIXTH weeks, when we were STILL the only people the teacher couldn't seem to place, it started to feel really hurtful. She may have been a decent teacher and it may be a great program but it was hard for me to ever get over feeling like such an outsider and we ended up not finishing our session. read more

Oh my goodness. I had no idea this would be so much fun for my 7 month old and that she would learn so much in just the free demo class. That afternoon she started clapping and the next morning she was using a toy like a tambourine! We clap and dance at home, but there was something absolutely impressive (to both me and my little one) about being in a classroom environment with so much music and so much fun!! Needless to say, we registered for the class and think of this as one of the best parenting decisions we have made so far. read more

After over a year of music education through Zoom, I just want to say how continually impressed I am with Amber and her teachers' adaptability and creativity in making music learning fun online! My daughter has been doing Tunebugz since she was 4 months old (16 mos now) and she is loving the consistency and interaction from class. She can now clap along to the beat, dance/shimmy, and shake her bells/shakers to music. As a parent, I'm also learning so much about how to incorporate music into our daily tasks. For example, Ms. Sara talked about basic tonal patterns that signify a transition or end of an activity. We've started using that tonal pattern and saying "Bye bye [activity, like bathtime]" to signal to our daughter that something is ending and it has DRAMATICALLY reduced her tantrums and tears. I'm so grateful for the Music Together experience through TuneBugz and highly recommend this program for all children of any age! read more

We have really enjoyed our lessons at TuneBugz! The staff is super animated and engaging and the curriculum is world class. The classes are fairly priced. A friend's recommendation for Music Together and a google search brought me to Amber and Tunebugz. What a stroke of luck! Amber and her music-magic have done so much for us. My kiddo and I LOVE this class - everything about it. We started going when my kiddo was just over a year and BUSY. The first class, I was worried when my kiddo wouldn't sit still in the circle and do everything we were 'supposed' to do. However, Amber explained that some kids need to be up and moving; she was very kind and knowledgeable of different learning styles. Amber's style and material reaches all types of kids - from wigglers like mine to those who sit and observe. One thing that makes this class gold to me are Amber's nuggets of wisdom - like the learning styles. She enriches the overall experience for kids and adults. The class itself has tons of variety - kids (and adults) make music with all kinds of instruments, props, themselves and more! Amber emphasizes diversity in music - from different rhythms to a wide range of beats. We all learn a ton without even realizing it! Amber creates such a fun, lively, educational and nurturing environment in every class. She is ALWAYS upbeat, positive and incredibly kind to every child. This sets the stage for the rest of us adults - we are a little community. I've learned a lot from the other caregivers in the group, most who have been TuneBugz/Amber fans for years. It has also been fun to watch my kiddo interact with them and to do the same with their children. The class is one of the best parts of our week. We tried a ton of tot-friendly experiences, from gym class to art and more. But Amber/TuneBugz's Music Together is the class that stands out way above the rest. The entire experience, from doing activities from class throughout the week, to the actual class is amazing. Amber has given my child and me a common language and foundation through music. Amber is such an awesome teacher!!! She is quite engaging and it seems like all the children love her. She definitely has that something special when it comes to relating to kids and teaching them to love music. Whenever my daughter goes to the Jumpy Gym to play, she always says, "Where's Miss Amber." We sample another music classes before deciding to join Tunebugz and I have to say, I'm so glad we went with Amber. She truly is sooo much fun!! I had a blast even though my daughter didn't always participate in the class. Despite this, I know the music impacted her because she would sing and dance to it at home and in the car. We've been going to TuneBugz! mixed age classes since my son was around 18 months old. He started out very shy the first few times we went and he would just observe, but once we got home we'd see him singing, clapping, and doing all the hand motions that we learned in class so we knew we had to continue going. The songs are so fun that my husband and I catch ourselves singing them even with no kids around. There's an app you get access to so we're able to take his music wherever we go. He's 2.5 now and asks to go every week. He is learning the joy of music and is so happy to spread that joy. If we're in a store and there's a song playing, he will start bobbing his head to the beat and dancing with his arms in the air. He will motion over to any other kid or adult around to try to get them to dance, too. We've had Amber and Sarah for instructors and they are both so kind and great at encouraging the kids and parents to really get involved in the activities. read more

My wife and I have been going to the mixed age music classes with our two daughters (1.5 and 3) since this past summer and are continuing through the Fall. Annissa is a wonderful teacher. She is personable, creative, and engaging. She encourages participation from the whole family and spontaneously changes the lyrics of songs based on the kids' suggestions. Our kids love the music, movements, and instruments. The class is a safe and nurturing environment for our kids to grow musically, socialize, and just have fun being themselves. A very nice feature of the curriculum is that all the songs (20+ each session) we learn are in a smartphone app that we can conveniently play in the car. My three (and a half!) year old and one and a half year old love these classes. To me, they are a bit loud, but the kids are who count, so i can handle it for an hour. Amber's kids music class is fun and engaging for the little ones. They get to have fun, sing, and be goofy with their parentsw for an hour a week, and everyone spends the rest of the week with the music stuck in their heads and humming it at odd times ;) . Amber is great at getting the kids to do what is needed (such as putting up the instruments and toys) without them really realizing it's something they usually wouldn't want to do. TuneBugz is terrific! Amber is a totally awesome teacher--always sweet, laid-back, fun, and gets everyone involved--even the grown-ups! On my way to the demo class, I tried to imagine the ideal teacher. Amber totally fits the bill. She includes every child, is never negative or condescending, and her cheeriness and happy attitude are always very authentic and never annoying. We just signed up for our third "semester" with our 2 year old. We have been going to class since the fall. Our daughter now sings the songs at home, claps, and really gets into the songs. Music Together is a great curriculum. It is music instruction vs. music entertainment. The songs are fun and entertaining, and Amber very helpfully points out the music principles during class. Different instruments, parachute, scarves, sticks, and bells are used. The adults sing and follow Amber with the movements, while the kids are allowed to do their own thing. They sing, walk around, interact with one another--they aren't forced to do anything, which is very refreshing. Amber's spirit of acceptance for every child really makes the atmosphere fun and inclusive. As you can tell, I can't say enough great things about Tunebugz! read more

We love Tunebugz! We've been going for four semesters now and have enjoyed the weekly music addition to our routine. The setting helps introduce music and invites the kids to learn, interact with each other and socialize. We are nearing the end of our first semester of music classes with Amber at Tunebugz and WE LOVE IT! I've been a faithful fan of Music Together for almost six years now, with my older daughter and now with my younger. The program is fantastic, and we were always happy with the teachers at the program we attended in Austin. But we live far northwest, and the drive was just a bit much. My wife already posted a great review of Tunebugz, but after taking our daughter to the class for the last 3 months I felt the need to add my own comments. The classes are great fun and it is amazing to see our daughter develop both musically and socially with the other kids in the class. Beyond that, Tunebugz has also been good for my musical development. Tunebugz has inspired me to start learning (or re-learning) music and musical instruments. I love TuneBugz, my husband loves TuneBugz, and most importantly my kids love TuneBugz. We've been going for around a year now and I can pinpoint components of their development that I attribute to going to music class with Ms. Amber.
