Sadly the service itself was poor. On arrival as I approaching the bay, almost the entire staff was outside talking to what looked like a visiting family. I slowed for them to direct me to which bay to pull in to, no direction was given so I decided for myself. I pulled my car into the bay and a tech greeted me and ask if I was here for an oil change. I said yes and he began with the vehicle inspection. I told them not to check my battery cause it always blows a fuse. I notice there were no monitors to observe work going on under your vehicle, but I can tell work had begun for I could feel the car moving from removing the oil plug. Another car pulled into the bay next to me. This is important to know for later. As I waited, there was no conversation with me from any of the employees, what I did notice was a lot of joking around and loud talking. One tech, who was suppose to be working on the car next to me, start laughing hysterically by someone another employee said, that he walked away from the vehicle and outside the bay. I also notice a bicyclist approach the bay, asking for some air in his tire. They wouldn't obliged his request but did direct him to another employee in the rear of the store. Not sure if they helped him out or not. I notice work had stoped on my car and the employees were just standing around. I know the oil had been drained but not replaced with new oil yet. I notice work on the car in the bay next to me was progressing along, a lot of attention was being giving on that car. At least 10 mins had passed and I ask an employee, (Kimberly, who I later found out was the store manager), "what is the status?" Wit a polite, but "sassy" response, she said " we only have one person working down there, gotta kinda divvy it up between vehicles. You understand?" I nod that I did. The there was a slight role of the eyes away from me. Imagine that, brand new store and they are under-manned already. A little more time had passed and the car in the bay next to me was finishing up. Meanwhile oil had just completed being put in my car. The other car left and I was still there, Remember, I was there way before that vehicle but its service was finished first. All I was getting was an oil change, that car next to me got an oil change, cabin filter changed and something else done and was still complete before me. My service was finally complete, I was lucky to receive a 20% discount from an e-mail today, but that did not negate the unprofessionalism there. As I was leaving and was being directed out, I said have a good day, he responded, "take care man!" I don't know what it is about Valvoline Instant Oil Change service but for some reason they keep calling me "man!' I guess since I'm an African-American male its cool. This is not something new from Valvoline, I have experienced this type of unprofessionalism form other stores. Was not expecting this from this store for it is new. I reluctantly give two stars cause it is a good looking store, coupons are alway available and Valvoline is the best oil in my humble opinion. The staff here is unprofessional and is a direct reflection of the manager Kimberly. Service is slow and they are understaffed. I will not be going back to this particular store.

    Excellent Service!! Brought truck in unannounced for…read moreinspection and ended up needing brakes and some other minor maintenance. The staff kept me informed along the way and knocked the work out very quickly. The text updates with a review of what work was accomplished and the ability to approve repairs was great.     On Presidents Day, since I had the day off, I decided to come to this auto shop after my car…read morestarted to make noises while driving, along with an oil change. They are AAA operated which qualifies members with a 10% discount. The hope was to see if prices would be reasonable and not breaking the wallet. The drive from home to here wasn't too bad. I will say be careful not to drive too fast or you'll miss them entirely. It is a small outfit after all where they only have 4 workers total. After nearly 2 hours in service (not a big deal since I had the day off once again), I ended up paying almost $90 for an oil change. This is more than the amount I pay at my dealership, even with the 10% discount included. Not really complaining, but weird it would cost more at a local shop. As far as the diagnostic check goes, they recommended work on the inner and outer tire rods for the left front tire and tire struts for the front tires. Also, replacing the engine and cabin air filters (which were long overdue), spark plugs, hood struts and brake fluid. Total cost: over $2000. Way too much for all that had to be taken care of. And some of the stuff that I could take of myself (hood struts, air filters, brake fluid) cost almost $150 each!!! I understand labor costs, but that's breaking an arm or a leg. Luckily, the vehicle is driveable as long as all the issues get taken care of within a year. Is there an upsell in play? Not sure. Could the costs be due to inflation? Not sure either. But a price like this is one you would see at a dealership in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I appreciate all the input and taking care of the oil change, but that price had me going elsewhere, which is the case after having the tires rods replaced at a cheaper cost.
