The floors had this sticky grime to it like it hadn't been mopped / deep cleaned in awhile and the air was thick with this greasy musk. To make matters worse, the ventilation must've been out because it was uncomfortably hot. But no matter, my curious group of gringos were in need of some McFood, so we ordered enough to puzzle the turistas around us. Fish filets, quarter pounders, fries galore, cheeseburgers etc, a whole gamut of the menu essentially. We ordered drinks as well, but the ice machine wasn't working. Thank goodness the sodas were chilled. What really irked me was how unfriendly the service was. I am used to inept service in the fast food arena since I live in NYC, but this was as apathetic as it could be: counter folks barely acknowledged us and to no one's surprise, got our orders and totals incorrect. This place wasn't busy, but it did seem understaffed with a ghost crew working there. The sad part is, I've been to another McDonalds in town (https://www.yelp.com/biz/mcdonalds-playa-del-carmen-2). Although very mediocre, it still was light years ahead of this one. Lastly, we didn't find anything unique about the menu. The chicken is tasty and crunchy, the burgers are relatively big and volumy compared to other chain shops that sells hamburguers. But in the other hand, because of the reason that this shop is a fast food shop, well, it's not defective, but the quality does not surpass the "fast food shop" quality. Another unsatisfying point to denigrate is that the time to wait from the time that you order the food, to the time that the food is done and delivered is too long for this place to be called a fast food restaurant. I mean, usually fast food restaurants take about 10 ~ 20 minutes for an order to be done, but Kentucky Fried Chicken takes from half an hour for minimum, and up to an entire hour, if the restaurant is in the peak hour. It might take more time than an average fast food restaurant, and obviously way more than an average restaurant. If you have time and a lot of hunger, i might think it is a good place to buy their food, but if you don't, it may not be the greatest option.

So maybe that one may be just okay LOL * drinks - Miami Nice (passionfruit) and a no name drink that the resto blends into a clear drink, served with a guava block.
