Fish taco
Deb O.

Went to the drive-through based on good reviews on Yelp and it's about a 15-minute drive from our neighborhood. We decided to order 2 shrimp tacos and 1 fish taco with Mexican coke and a salad. I requested sauce on the side since we can't handle spicy food. Their tacos are huge! They were really delicious but I was having a hard time finishing it so had to eat the other taco the next day and the rest of the salad. Have tried these type of tacos in Ensenada and they're just as good although the fish taco here was not as crispy as the one in Mexico (maybe they use lard to fry ). Service was good. Will definitely return when I have a craving for seafood tacos!

We ordered the fish tacos and were pleasantly surprised by how big they were! I initially thought my one taco were the two I ordered . They were delicious, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We also tried the potato taquitos, which were just as good. The restaurant has a nice, laid-back vibe with a cool outdoor seating area. We didn't sit outside this time, but it looked like a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was great. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to again and again. Big Bang for your buck!

Randomly found this on Yelp while I visit SD. Never knew a fast food Mexican place can be this good. They even have a drive thru and outside seating area. Ordered the fish taco and carne asada tacos and a side order of salsa n chips. The tacos came out in a huge size loaded with beef and fish topped with veggies. So fresh and so good. Definitely worth the stop and will be here again if I'm in the area.

Fried fish

There was a blackout in parts of Mira Mesa so I can't get fried fish. I went here because I heard they have fried fish. It turns out, it's really good and a tad cheaper than El viejon. We tried the fried red snapper and ordered it extra crispy. It came with rice, beans and some veggies. It tastes so fresh. The other food we got there is also really good, like the birria, taquitos, bacon wrapped shrimp. Ask for the mango salsa, it's really good too and the staff are always nice and friendly. All portions as big.

Camarones Diablo. Enough left over for a snack latter.

A first time here. Fantastic authentic ceviche, fish taco and camarones diablo plate with 7 large spicy shrimp. Limited inside seating and seating on the outside patio. No wait service. Order at the counter and they call your number. Large screen TV playing Mexican music videos. Leftovers for snacking latter.

Shrimp Ceviche

This small restaurant is located in a busy street ie Mira Mesa Blvd and Camino Ruiz. Not much seating inside but they also have an outdoor patio seating. They do offer a lot of selection on their menu especially Seafood. They also have a drive thru option. We choose to sit inside. We ordered Ceviche de Camaron Cocido (Cooked Shrimp Ceviche) and Camarones al Moho de Ajo (Shrimp in Garlic sauce). We were impressed with the freshness and flavor of these two dishes. It was fair size amount. Quality and taste is 10 out of 10. Will be back to try other items on their Menu. Come try them out if you have craving for yummy delicious seafood.

Delicious! Marlin & pulpo tacos

Quick stop for Flavorful tacos and cerveza! Next time I want to try the seafood bowl made to order!

I was so shocked how BIG these tacos are :0 for about $7-8 dollars. The marlin was pretty smoky and the octopus had a great kick of spice. All are loaded with salsa and generous pieces of avocado. The ceviches were so fresh and went very well with the tostadas and the surf n turf fries are amazing!

My friend and I were driving around looking for a bite to eat when I suggested this spot. At first, she was skeptical--it's in what looks like a converted old car wash, and that just didn't scream "great seafood" to her. But after I showed her the glowing reviews on Yelp and the photos showing how clean and appetizing everything looked, she agreed to give it a shot. We're so glad we did! The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. I ordered the shrimp plate (camarones al mojo de ajo), and she got a taco with a side of esquite (Mexican street corn). That corn was amazing--so much so that I took some home to my mom since you just don't find it up north as often. She was also excited to see Menudo on the menu--her husband is Mexican and will be thrilled to try it when he's back. All in all, this place was a gem of a find. Great food, fast service, and a menu that impressed both of us. Definitely coming back!

The 7 Maees soup.a lot of seafood and A LOT OF CARROTS. NOT the best dish here.

I love this place, overtime that I have been there always ordered their fantastic fish Taco. Tonight as I parked, I saw signs for soup. I ordered 7 Mares soup, with Tax $27 and change. Had a lot of seafood and didn't have much flavor, unfortunately. It had too many pieces of carrots. The broth was with very little flavor. Staff is always unbelievably courteous. Hope the owner reads this.

These are not street size tacos - they are huge! I didn't realize that and initially ordered 3. When I saw my friend's taco, I quickly asked the staff to remove one of mine and they kindly obliged. So I ended up with a fried fish taco and a smoked tuna taco. The fried fish was really good and the avocado was the perfect ripeness. I didn't really like the smoked tuna one but that may be more of a personal preference. We sat on the patio which is brightly colored.

Moldy tortillas

The tortillas have mold on them. I made sure to call them and tell them know. They tried to say it was from the cabbage but nope, I noticed the cabbage stains on the tortillas, but there were other green spots that were mold. And it also was not from the cilantro in the pico de gallo. Cilantro does not stain that way. I make pico de gallo very often and put it on tacos, it never stains. Throw out the moldy tortillas! Bummed because we loved this place!

Food was spectacular! Quaint little spot with very good service! Highly recommend anything in their menu!

Shrimp tacos on left. Fish tacos, and then marlin tacos on bottom.

This is some of the freshest poke I have had, and we will definitely be coming back for more! I am also intrigued by some of their other dishes (fish n chips!!) and do want to come back to try those as well. There was a bit of a line for the poke (you can enter a separate door if you are getting anything other than poke) but the line did not take too long. A bit of indoor seating, and plenty of outdoor seating available.

"HFS" or Hawaiin Fresh Seafood was one of the OG Hawaiin style poke shops in San Diego. This is…read moretheir new location that has lots of outdoor seating and a few indoor spots. The poke offerings themselves are very strong but the sides are limited compared to other poke shops. Every time I go there is a line out the door and they are very strict about leaving the door closed to keep the AC in. You can order poke bowls with rice or you can order poke by the pound. My wife and I usually order by the pound and then get a side of mac salad and make our own rice. Most recently we ordered two pounds of garlic salmon and a side of mac salad. Prices are definitely in the high side with a pound of poke costing $24.99 to $29.99. Service feels very hectic and rushed. The taste of the poke itself is very good and definitely scratches the itch for Hawaiin style poke. I've been to Maui, Oahu, Kauai multiple times so I've definitely had my fair share of authentic poke. The garlic salmon which was delicious although I noticed they started to add chili flakes which felt a little odd for a garlic flavored poke. Overall I was craving Hawaiin style poke and this satisfied my cravings.
