HORRIBLE. I confirmed with this company twice AND received an email confirmation for a pick up at the airport this past Saturday. I was relying on this cab company solely for the purpose of using their car seats (Lyft and Uber don't offer car seats so it's a safety issue). Some horribly RUDE man calls me at 10:30 (the time of my scheduled pick up) to tell me THEY DON'T HAVE ANY DRIVERS. I was left stranded at the airport with two kids with 0 ride home. Beyond unprofessional. The man who called me then began yelling at me. I can't wait for Uber and Lyft to run you out of business. read more

Hostile and unreliable. I reserved a cab the night before my Dr's appointment to be sure I would be on time. The cab never showed. When I called them they told me they were too busy and I could call back another day. So I had to reschedule everything. Just 2 days earlier my mother had been yelled at by a driver because he "could be making more money" taking other fares than waiting on "an old lady". She was simply picking up a prescription from the pharmacy. It used to be an excellent company. And there are some excellent, drivers who show a high degree of professionalism. But they are leaving for other jobs now. I'll be looking for a new taxi service from here on out, unless it's an emergency and I'm forced to deal with this one. read more

Last night I called for a yellow taxi around 10 pm. The man said it would be around 45 minutes to an hour. I said fine. About an hour and a half later or so I received a call from company saying they were still looking for a driver. I said ok. About another 45 minutes or so go by and I receive another call saying they were still looking for a driver. I still said ok. Another hour goes by and I check my phone and see I've missed a call and text from a driver while I was in the shower getting ready to go to bed. I then message back to say are you coming. They said I would have to wait 25 more minutes now. So I say ok. Before I ordered the cab I had them quote me a price. It was to cost approx $16. So after the allotted 25 minutes he says he will be here in 9 minutes. So I get back up and get ready for the 3rd time & get ready. Now during all this phone communication no one bothers to tell me that I must pay upfront for this ride. It's now 1:30 am & I'm just getting in the car. I give him the address and he tells me now the ride is $25 because it's after midnight. So I proceed to call my boyfriend to say I'm on my way. The cab rider then asks what I'm doing so I tell him I'm making sure that's ok and the man ask me what I'm doing. I tell him. This is when he raises his voice to me and says I have to pay upfront. I told him that no one told me this and once I got to my destination I would pay. He says no I have to pay now before he will even leave. So by now I've waited almost 4 hours and the price raised because of no fault of my own & then I still received no ride. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a taxi company. The cab driver was extremely rude. So needless to say I never received my ride. Awful awful experience. I would suggest Uber or Lyft. I will never call them again. read more

I booked a cab from the hotel to the airport for 5:!5am. I go outside the hotel at 5:15 - no cab. So I go back in, look up the number and got someone on the line who said don't worry, he will be there. I'm on a tight schedule to catch a plane - hence the pre-booked cab vs Uber or Lyft. So after waiting awhile, I sent out for an Uber. Then I get a call from the cab saying he is on the way. I told him, I need to get to the airport, so whomever gets there first, him or Uber, I would take. He said forget it, I'm not coming and hung up on me. Never again with this company. read more

This was the worse ride ever I never left my apt complex. He refused to take me to my destination without paying up front. I informed him that I just rode a cab from river spirit to 31 & mingo and didn't pay up front. He said he didn't want to take a the chance that I would jump out and run. Despite giving detailed instructions and the exact street address of where to be picked up, the driver was unable to find me until I stood in front of his cab and waved him down. 30 minutes from the time I called until the time I saw him pull in. Another 5 minutes just to get his attention and board. To make matters worse, he had already started the meter some time before the actual pickup. The trip was no better. The entire time, the driver was reckless and speeding, blowing through stop signs and stop lights. Despite a GPS unit, and my detailed verbal commands, he drives right past the destination and then has to turn around. And, being rush hour on Brookside, that wasn't easy. Worse still, I tried paying with a credit card. Some of the drivers actually have devices on their phones to swipe the cards instantly. But this one, had to use a carbon rub. Despite having a visual copy, he was unable to charge the card and subsequently called me three times throughout the night and early morning asking me to confirm the numbers. Several attempts, and several cards later, I have still yet to be charged for this $10 cab ride from hell. Driver spoke very little English and was extremely rude during the entire ordeal, especially after he failed to figure out how to charge the card correctly. The vehicles are disgusting and unsafe. Most belong in the junkyard. Other drivers in the recent past are no better. None of them speak English well, they all smell as though they rarely (if ever) bathe, all of them pay more attention to their phone conversations and text messages more than the road, all of them are reckless and speed freaks, and some even smoke in the car while transporting passengers. Furthermore, the dispatch company is just as unfriendly and unhelpful. read more

The poorest customer services skills, I have been treated poorly by the representatives on the phone. I didn't book the ride but one of their drivers gave me a ride because I was too intoxicated. I lost my 2 phones and headphones and I was merely trying to find out information the 3 gentlemen I spoke too were rude over ta.ked me cursed at me over me just trying to ask if the driver has to clean out the car or van at the end of their shift and described my phones they did not ask for my name and a number to reach me if they were turned in. read more

Was picked up. Car full of cigarette smoke and I work at a non smoking facility. Driver first blew through a stop sign in my neighborhood because he was on his phone. He drove the wrong direction causing the meter to go higher. I have used a pre booking app all week and was charged the flat rate of 8 dollars ALL week. I go to get out, ask if it's still 8 dollars and he raises his voice saying " NO ITS TEN DOLLARS FOR A PRE-SCHEDULE!" I said I have pre scheduled every day this week and NO one has charged me ten dollars! He began arguing and yelling at me in front of my place of work. I shoved the ten bucks at him and walked off with him still yelling at me. It was an AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Then I try to call to report, they tell me call at 8 am. I call at 8:30 and still no one. They tell me call back after 9. We will see what they say. I am infuriated. Edit. Have now called 3 times, every time I call back they tell me "she's not available try back at ___ time" No wonder they get away with this shit..they just avoid you talking to anyone till you give up I guess. Second EDIT: Have called 3 more times, each being told I need to call back supervisor is "not available" I finally said "You know what? I feel like I am being jerked around and I have a VALID issue that needs to be handled!" The operator finally offers to listen to my story and allegedly the supervisor will be told (yeah right) I also asked for the supervisor to call me back. Not gonna hold my breath. I tooka cab from my house to the post office the office, was inside for about four minutes, then went around the cornerto Reasors. The fare was $13, over TWICE what Uber charges. Then I called a cab to go home. The dispatcher kept HANGING UP on me without confirming that a cab was on the way. When I told the driver (a midfle easterner) about the way I'd been treated, he said "she's the BEST dispatcher we have." Then I kept witching him mess with the meter so I was angry but not shocked when he said the fare was $11! Only two dollars less for nearly a mile less distance and no stops or standing. When I told him that I could HEAR him messing with the meter (which was NOT in place sight as required by law, he told me to "do him a favor and exclude (his) cab next time I called. He said it was $8 minimum then $1 for my "luggage" (MY GROCERY BAGS THAT I LOADED AND ANY ONE OF THE BAG BOYS WOULD GLADLY HAVE LOADED FOR FREE) The meter isn't supposed to START at $8; if your fare is UNDER $8 they charge you that amount no matter how much less it is! Do yourself a favor; stick to Uber. The people are a lot more attentive, punctual and are not scam artists! read more

I am 14 using a cab for the first time and alone. When i tried to get out the car to go retrieve the cash from my mother the driver grabbed my by my shirt and told me no you can't go leave your bag. I understood the he didn't want me to drive off so I did as asked and left my bag along with my phone and computer used to do my school work hen I returned 2 minutes later he was gone along with my baggage. Managers say I cant receive my things and won't give my things back because I never paid (because the man left) even after I offered to pay. read more

So we used a cab to go to the concert from our hotel. The first cab driver got 7 of us in together. It was fine he was pleasant and he got us there safely and on time. He was a checker cab driver. When we were picked up from the concert it was a different story. My husband told the dispatch that we had 7 passengers so we may need 2 cabs. They said we will send one and all of you can fit into 1. Its a yellow cab driver 679 that shows up to take us back to our hotel. He won't let all of us ride as dispatch had said. Our daughter and her husband stayed behind to get a lyft (which was way better than ours). Then our driver could not drive, the cab was in awful shape. The meter said $5 and some change and he charged my husband $20.00. So if yellow cab 679 comes to pick you up I would request a different taxi. Ride at your own risk.. read more

The driver I received that picked me and my family up from Wal-Mart at 81st and Lewis was very ungrateful that I was paying with a credit card instead of cash I even tipped him but very hateful and ungrateful no customer service person skills with him what so ever. I usually don't complain but since this was his second time doing this. The company is looking into this though so we will see how this comes out. This company apparently doesn't care about their clients health at all because my mother and I found our elderly neighbor outside our condo having waited for their cab for half an hour already, nearly about to have heatstroke. We called and they said that they had been by the condo but didn't find her so they left so we asked to send them another cab and gave very specific instructions as to were to go so they wouldn't miss out, they told us they would send another cab and that they would be there in 15 minutes max. We waited ANOTHER half an hour and never got a cab for her and then called up only to find out that we'd apparently been booted out of the system so we ended up canceling it, so way to go YCC you could've freaking killed someone because of your incompetence. This was so bad and so negligent that I'm going to be going out of my way to tell people to NEVER use your services ever. Please be ashamed of yourselves. read more

Call another cab service. If you aren't in a high traffic area they will "forget" to call in for dispatch. The person answering the phone is really rude and unprofessional. If you are trying to be responsible and get a cab from the bar to your home, they will promise you a cab is coming and it will never come. I called yellow checker around 1030 on a Sunday night asking for a cab to go maybe a mile and a half away from my house. I waited 45 minutes for the driver to come after the text telling me that he was on his way and what time what number the cab was. He called me 10 minutes after the suggested time of arrival asking where I lived I gave him accurate directions using east north west and south, he said he couldn't find it and hung up. I was literally one block south of a major intersection on a major street here in Tulsa. I waited 10 more minutes he did not show up and should have been there by by that time, then I called him back. I asked if I needed to call yellow Checker back and ask for another ride, although I have been on hold at yellow Checker for over 10 minutes on a Sunday night. He said I don't know what you're saying, and hung up on me for the second time. I tried to called yellow checker back at that point and could not get a hold of anyone, so I just drove myself. Tulsa does not need this kind of taxi company if we can settle on Uber and lift then fine however it would be nice to have a fallback plan for when I don't have my credit card on me. I will never, ever use this "service" again. read more

Unfortunately Tulsa is behind the times a bit on cab service - however it's getting better. I use this place all the time and usually always have prompt service. (All transportation services could improve in Tulsa .). Like most cities with cab service you must watch out for those cabbies who don't have their meter going and try and overcharge. This has happened only once but I've happened on many late nights coming home from downtown where they tried to pull this. Beware. Be firm. Be nice. And tip ! I would say have common sense when planning and remember that it is a service and your not getting a high end car service. read more

If it were possible to give less than one star I would in a California heartbeat. Their drivers are not professionals at all. Drivers of cab number 5 and driver of green cab 390 are crooks - 390 won't run the meter and then overcharge (15 for what should have been 6) and driver of cab 5 did the same thing then assaulted me by spitting on me and throwing a cup of ice in my face which legally is simple assault. If you can use uber I would or at least find another company. read more

Terrible Terrible. Not only did the driver not show up on time, even though I called the night before, but he ran out of gas and then charged my credit card once per day for 5 days for more than $50. I tried to work with the supervisor for almost a month and wound up having to have the card destroyed to stop getting the charges. Most of the people don't even speak English. Called the cab, who was nearly 30 minutes late. When he showed up he said he had gone to the other side of town. We finally got to our vet appointment, and he was supposed tonwait. But he drove off after about ten minutes. We waited but he didn't come back. Fortunately we live nearby, so we were able to walk home. The he calls over 3 hours later, claims he's been outside all day, that we owe him money and if we don't pay he's calling the cops. I told him "go ahead." today about 12:30 my mother & i were lost in tulsa with a dr's appt i was starting to think she might miss because i couldn't FIND the place. we were in SE Tulsa (OK) & i finally called Yellow Cab planning on paying for Mom's trip to her dr's office with me following. instead the dispatcher was INCREDIBLE, & not only gave us directions, but stayed with us on the phone until we FOUND the place, probably close to 30 minutes later! i cannot tell you how much that meant! so plz know that whoever that lady was she was SUPER at her job going ABOVE & BEYOND! otherwise i think we might've STILL been in Tulsa still lost 6 hours later!!! very VERY much appreciated!!! ya'll ROCK! read more

Our organization hosted a statewide summit this past Saturday. We had nearly 20 out of town guests who needed to be transported from the hotel to the site of the Summit and back again. Some of them had to return to the airport, but at different times. An additional, unscheduled trip was required as well. Rod and Michelle, as well as the dispatcher whose name I didn't get, could not have served us any better. All of the drivers were professional. We had arranged for pre-payment, so any changes were charged to the pre-authorized card. Every time I called with another change, the dispatcher was prompt and courteous. I should also mention that their prices were more than fair. I would definitely recommend them to others -- especially those in similar position as we were in. read more

Most pitiful cab service ever. I paid to have someone picked up from one location and delivered to another location. I was told by dispatcher that the trip was $8.00. When the driver arrived I went to pay with a $20 bill. First off driver acts like I intend for him to keep the entire $20 bill. When I told him I needed my change he says oh you want change? Well, you only get back $5.00 because the trip was $15.00. The driver was Sam, Cab #32. I have spoken to the driver's supervisor, or their "excuse" for a supervisor anyway. Supervisor name is Jim Rice, and he has been giving me the "run-around" for over a week now about giving me my $7.00 back that his driver INTENTIONALLY stole from me. If I didn't know any better I would think he upholds his drivers in stealing from the customer. He sure has plenty of excuses but never any results. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND CHECKER YELLOW CAB TULSA to my worst enemy!!! THEY ARE PATHETIC!!!! read more

The one thing a taxi company needs is reliability. Unfortunately, that is something Yellow Cab lacks. I called the night before for an early morning pickup to go to the airport. I was assured by the dispatcher that they would be at my house no later than 6. Ten minutes after 6, no one was there, so I called again. They had no record of my call and at that point, I was in danger of missing my flight. I had to scramble to make alternative arrangements and barely got to the gate on time. I just had the most horrible taxi ride from this company! I'm still trembling! I was picked up and immmediately noticed the meter seemed wrong, and when i asked what the rate was, the driver started yelling at me! He was so rude I asked him to stop and let me out of the car, which he would not do! He then continued to shout at me all the while turning around in his seat to look at me. He then shut off the meter and told me to pay the fare I have paid on previous rides with Checker to this same destination. I asked him to please turn the meter back on. He called his company and was quoted the same amount I usually pay. He then yelled "ARE YOU HAPPY?" three times. Then while driving 10 miles OVER the speed limit he mumbled "I know what you need" and started fumbling through a stack of DVD's. He must have had at least five or six DVD's. He then inserted a DVD into a DVD Player that was mounted in the middle of his dashboard and began WATCHING a DVD called "Dis Good Jesus" of Jamacian dancers and singers while he was driving the cab! He even went as far as to put a piece of paper behind the DVD player to keep the sun off it! The next thing he did was to turn the volume up very high! I wanted out of that cab so bad but he never pulled over to let me out. I have used Checker numerous times since last September and have never had a bad encounter, in fact, my drivers have always been pleasant and polite. I will not use them again, and if anyone else does, please ask the cab #5 is not your driver. Cab 5 Checker Tulsa, Oklahoma. I am just glad I am a native Tulsan, beause I would hate to think that our out of state visitors would recieve such terrible service. I am filing a formal complaint with the City of Tulsa. Oh, and to the dispatcher I talked to when I called to inform them of the situation...please don't tell me that it was the heat that made this man behave this way...this man is just a mean person. Wouldn't call them again. The cab pulled up to my hotel and it was an old, old town car. I had a large suitcase and laptop bag plus my purse. The driver was on the phone with his girlfriend I assume. They were arguing because she had found a knife on the couch he sleeps on under his pillow. He said he had it for protection because there were all kinds of weird people in that house and drugs. He was very vocal. Also forgot to mention he didn't even end his call, he opened the trunk while I loaded all my things in, which he didn't offer to help. But we got on the road, I was only going about 2 miles. I had asked the dispatcher if they took cards. Not a cash carrier. But he failed to mention the $10 minimum. My cab ride was only $4.60! When we pulled into the the driveway, I unloaded my own luggage again. And also forgot to mention the dirtiness! The trunk was hollowed out and trash all over, one shoe, crow bar. The back seat was dusty! I was wearing black sweats and when I got out, I had to pat myself down to get all the dirt out. The car was old, the dash had all kinds of engine lights on. The driver stayed on the phone almost thru my whole ride. He was nice once he got off the phone but judging by the nature of his trunk and phone call, I didn't feel safe. Never again! read more

Do NOT use this company! Also, do NOT call Tulsa Taxicab or Green Cab company. They are all the same company, answered by the same dispatcher. VERY UNRELIABLE! Needed a cab ride to the hospital for surgery. They said a driver would pick me up in 20 minutes. No one came. Called back and was told no one was available to take the call, they'd send someone when there was someone in my area. I had to drive myself so that my surgery wasn't cancelled. No one called me to tell me that they didn't have a driver available, they were just going to let me wait. Three weeks later, my son calls (thinking he's getting a different company than the one that left me waiting on my surgery day) to get a cab home from the movies. Waits an hour in the snow and cold and never gets a cab. One was sent, but cancelled on him. He called back, ordered another cab, was told 10 minute wait. After 20 minutes he called back and the dispatcher said he had no record of the call. My son called 3 different companies with different numbers, as I did after I got back from going to pick him up after 11:30 P.M. in the snow, and all three numbers went to the same dispatcher who told me that they own all the cab companies in Tulsa. USE UBER if these people own all the cab companies in town!!!!! read more
