The teachers don't teach. But they do give you a lot of gear. The office people are very nice.

I had previously taken a bus driving class for only a week at a different school district, and I was not prepared for my driving test. I am glad that I got to come to Central Tech. They have an on-site driving course for bus and semi training. It is over a large area and has several hairpin turns for practice, a large backing maneuvers area, a railroad crossing, and they are stocked with practice trucks and air brake buses. When the course has been completed and it's time for testing, they bring in certified examiners to test you on site. You can practice your entire driving test ahead of time, exactly how it will be. During the two-week course (longer than the time required by the state) we practiced all aspects of the driving test. We only spent one day sitting in a classroom going over the manual and spent the rest of our days breaking into groups and working on the buses. We had 3 air brake buses to practice with. The person who was only testing for hydraulic brakes had to bring their own bus. Our two instructors were in separate golf carts and floated between buses to check on us and instruct us by radio when we needed help. One of the most helpful parts of the class was when we were individually administered an unofficial pre-trip examination with written feedback of failed areas. Most people don't pass this assessment, but they learn from their mistakes and generally do well on the real pre-trip examination. I am highly satisfied with this bus driving class and would recommend it to others. The facilities are very good and the instructors are highly qualified. I am sure that the truck driving courses are equally as good. There are lots of job postings in the building looking for truck drivers who graduate from Central Tech's classes.

Best private school in the area for Security/Law Enforcement. I have taken several classes with the…read moreKenedys over the years. Starting in 2010, Ive taken every certification they have offered, and my SDA License. The other review on here, I was present for the range day they describe. They are bellyaching and hamming it up because they don't actually understand structure and discipline. Yes is was a rain filled miserable day, but you could have checked the weather. You were told exactly what to expect two days prior to the range day (and the ammunition part was in the syllabus and on the website when you signed up for the class.) Everyone was treated with the appropriate amount of respect for their actions. If the 18 year old kids were cutting up, they did get called out on it. These instructors did everything they could to create a mature and safe environment to let everyone test for their firearms licenses. 10/10 would recommend to other folks (and have done so) Allen H.

One word: UNPROFESSIONAL! If you want a quick class that is CLEET approved to obtain your license,…read morethen this is a place you can receive that. The content is taught and what will be on the State Exam is made clear. This is ran essentially by a Father and Son team, with others that come in and assist. The Son that teaches the classes, especially Phase I and II and the classroom portion of Phase IV, keeps the information interesting with colorful banter and extras. However BEWARE! He can also flip and Become a "drill sergeant" screaming and yelling in your face. His father runs the range portion of Phase IV. This was the most ridiculous and Unprofessional range, class, or whatever you would call it, that has occurred! This old man Literally SCREAMS at the top of his lungs at people for any little thing that he does not like. You are NOT allowed to think at all the entire day. If you think for yourself he flips out on you and screams, yells, and degrades you in front of EVERYONE! They literally treat you worse than a private in the military going through basic training. My experience? It was pouring rain and freezing. The day before when we received our instructions, the son stated that it may be raining so we should bring ALL gear that could possibly be needed for any type of inclement weather and put in our car just to be prepared. The OLD MAN does not allow cell phones on your person, your gear or anything. Or allow you to give anyone a phone number for emergencies, or allow you to tell anyone your exact location. So if you have an emergency that people need to contact you, or could, this is not the class for you. So, when we got there it was a nice temperature and not raining. We got to the range at 8am and they BS'd and did nothing but yell and scream randomly at people, until 10 am and THEN started to move people through to start shooting. In that time prior, it had started to rain and the temperature dropped significantly. The Old man would not allow ANYONE to go to their vehicles to retrieve any items that they did not bring out on the range with them. They would not allow us to sit under the porch thing that was there and forced us to stand out in the pouring rain the entire day, while this Old Man sat inside with a tv, heater, and a crock pot of food. Some people didn't have a coat or anything and were shivering and in the pouring rain and the brave ones that asked to go to get their things received a horrific public lashing and then everyone was screamed at that we were not allowed to come under the porch or get anything from our vehicles. You had to ask to even use the bathroom. They have job corp kids that came through and #1 they were treated like absolute dirt. Normal paying people were treated like we were substandard people that did not deserve to even be in this old mans presence, but the job corp kids were treated in a disgraceful manner that I would not even wish on my worst enemy. They put out this info that if you use their weapons you have to provide them with ammunition for them and if you use your personal weapon you must bring your own ammo. The Job Corp people did not have any ammo with them. Then when you get there with your personal ammo even when you have your personal weapon, they make you put it out and you have to let anyone use your ammo and you end up using whatever ammo is laid out. I understand safety on a range is extremely important. I understand that some people that go through this class have never shot a weapon before, but to treat people the way that occurred is completely unacceptable and these people need some form of punishment for this. And you say, "oh well stand up for yourself and don't take it" right? WRONG! They are a private institution, they think they can do whatever they want and if you have an issue? They, as a private institution, have the right to tell you to leave immediately, they make you aware of this and state that they will fail you and you will NOT be given a refund or your ammunition back. As well as any ammo not used of yours that you brought, you don't get that back either. So, if you want to be treated as a substandard human being that does not have the right to even be in these Instructors presence, to be degraded, humiliated, screamed at, and pay a substantial amount of money for it? Then this is the place for you. CLEET should revoke their authorization of this place because disgraces the security profession and gives CLEET a bad name!
