As an avid gun, enthusiast and collector, Tulsa Firearms has been by far WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER GONE THROUGH to end up buying a non-functional gun. Over the course of three months I spent over $5600 at the store, as I was being told I would receive a refund for the original $600 DTI, AR 15 style 300 blackout. After adding an additional $220 gas block, lighter buffer, and spring, the gun would still not fire any subsonic bullets whatsoever. On a handshake via Preston, the store's gunsmith, I was told I would receive the $600 back if I bought a fully built arrow precision 300 blackout equipped with Romeo and Juliet sites in addition to numerous other upgrades. After the handshake, I proceeded to buy the " fully built aero precision. 300 blackout" which still to this day has been nothing but problems because I've the lies told like an aero precision gas block, my 7 1/2 inch silencer, and lighter buffer the gun is still incapable of shooting ANY subsonic rounds. Tulsa Firearms takes their guns to the back and slaps them together with whatever used parts they have. In addition to presenting all these frustrating facts to the owner of the establishments, Riley Gilmore, called me a motherfucker and told me to get the fuck out of his store and to never come back after I presented my case by saying " all I want is the $600 back for the broken gun you sold me, that you can send back to the manufacturer and get a brand new one and that I cannot. In the pictures below, any gun advocate will clearly be able to see that this is not a full aero, precision built 300 blackout. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. They will rob you blind. I paid +$5600, was called the motherfucker by the owner, and the $3400 era precision will still not fire to this day. in the pictures below, you will see that the barrel, the adjustable gas block, and the majority of internal components to this 300 blackout are NOT what they were advertised as. 0 STARS!! read more

Yeah, well I thought it was gonna be better than it was but hardly any customers there which I was surprised and I called before and I was talking about some ammo and stuff so I assumed that they and they had some but all he had was like one brand of ammo not a lot of accessories seemed more like a library than a gun store and the person that was helping me just kind of walked away and was doing some other stuff I wanted to talk to not very open I'm very talkative the older gentleman was sitting in the chair just sort of casual. I don't know. To answer questions and talk. I'm not sure I didn't buy anything and I won't ever go back there again to get business to give them my business anyway it's too bad because I thought it was gonna be a good experience. read more

My husband and I went to a Saturday Gun Fit & Safety class. Sam was our instructor and he was very informative, a wonderful instructor, CALM, and will answer all of your questions. I was a beginner and VERY timid around guns. I have a lot of respect for lethal weapons. After one class I was A LOT more confident in handling a gun. It makes a big difference with the right teacher and education that emphasizes on GUN SAFETY! I highly recommend them and women please DON'T be afraid they are very respectful and female beginner shooter friendly. read more

This place is a dump. Used to be a nice classy indoor range. Employee today claimed COVID now writes all their policies. And then proceeded to claim that a price gouging rate for bullets was the going rate everywhere. Told me I couldn't shoot my rounds and had to buy theirs at $1/rd. I paid .50/rd for mine. Go spend your money where the employees care about you being there. This place is not it. read more

Good for New and experienced shooters alike! A review from some who lives in Pacifica California might seem odd at first. But I have two things going here. Family in Oklahoma and and a love of firearms. I really enjoy when those two converge for a fun time at the range. Tulsa Firearms provide the perfect place to meet and shoot. They are easy to to find being located close to highway 169 at 61 and Garnett. The place is air conditioned (it's an indoor range). And they have everything at the range you could need. Like most gun ranges they start out having a bit of attitude. Hey it's mostly a man's thing to shoot) But just let them know you have a new shooter in the group and the attitude goes away completely. In its place you will find a group of people with a professional attitude who are they to help you every during every step of your learning process. If you already know your stuff Tulsa Firearms can still provide you with much more than just simple range time. I found out they also offer classes for the new and old shooter alike as well as CCW classes for people who want to carry concealed. More about the range. Not only is it air conditioned, it is also a safe and courteous place to shoot. Even when they know you Tulsa Firearm maintains a watchful eye to ensure all their patrons have a good time. That mean everyone follow their rules. I also notice the other people who go here are very good at lane cleanup when they are done. Nice to see since some of the ranges I go to the other shooters leave brash and trash behind them. But I didn't see any of this at the lanes at Tulsa Firearms. Final note, I make it back to Tulsa only a few time per year at best. Even so I like the range some much I bought a membership. That fact alone should say the most I can about my enthusiasm for this fine Tulsa business. read more

I have nothing but praise and respect for all the people at Tulsa Firearms Training Academy. They all know what they are talking about and want you to feel comfortable whether you are looking to buy, shoot or take a class or troubleshoot shooting performance issues. I love this place. I'm originally from Tulsa but now reside outside Dallas and visit here EVERYTIME I come back to Tulsa. Riley , the owner is a world class champion shooter, so if you want the Best, you've got it. And the guys who work the counters are excellent shots as well!! As an experienced shooter and veteran, I highly recommend you contemplate going to 2A shooting before stepping foot into this place. I have 3 short experiences that have led me away from this business. 1) I have always been brought up to address everyone I meet as Sir or Ma'am. When I moved to the area and was discussing memberships, I addressed the taller gentleman (using this lightly) as Sir. He began to belittle me in front of other customers stating that he was not an officer in the marine corps. I completely understand this in a military sense (if he had actually served, because I am skeptical), but this is the civilian world, deal with the fact that people will address you as Sir in a place of business, and don't belittle paying customers for this. 2) I had purchased a Kimber custom pistol and was shooting it at their range. I had a weapon malfunction where the spring assembly ejected from the pistol. After discussing this with the employees; they had informed me that this was "normal" and to put plumbers Teflon tape around the assembly to secure it. After speaking with kimber, they had informed me that this was in fact not normal and to not put Teflon tape on a $1,500 pistol. In essence, experts they are not. 3) stopped in to buy ammunition, as many would know that some places sell value packs of ammunition (100, 250 rds etc). After them asking me how many boxes I would like, I had requested 100 rounds (thinking maybe they would have a value pack or something). I received a smart ass response from the tall "marine veteran" (don't worry he'll mention that every time you speak with him) stating "so ya that's 2 boxes" and begins to belittle me in front of others. I've visited 2A and have been highly impressed with their customer service and expertise, because we can all learn something new. They are there to offer assistance and their opinion along with facts. Will never be visiting Tulsa Fire Arms again. read more

Awesome place to learn about firearms, you can rent and shoot many of the common self defense type handguns before you buy... they offer classes, and take the time to make sure you are getting what you want. Don't waste your money. We signed up for what was supposed to be a private lesson lasting at least 60 minutes. We weren't given a choice of weapons (they preselected because we were "girls"). There were no safety posters anywhere to be seen and the instructor violated protocols taught at other locations. Worst of all, they insisted on a specific time of day (I wanted a later time) and the instructor came 20 minutes and ended the lesson early. Plus you don't just pay for the time but for crappy ear protection and ammo. A TOTAL AND COMPLETE RIPOFF!!!!! read more

Been a member for over 35 years. Bought life membership when they offered that. Things have consistently gone down hill every year until now I will never set foot in this place ever again. The guys working the desk think they are gunslingers from the old west, and have the bad attitude to go along with it. One is like six foot seven and is the worst. They belittle customers in front and behind their backs. Don't even think about taking a woman with you as they belittle them like females are idiots. I had bought a machine gun from them, and now can't shoot it there with the wait one second between shots rule, to go along with the endless scroll of never ending rules that change by the month. No other range in town is so restrictive. They have so many rules on how to bring a firearm into the facility you have to stop at the door to read the novel that is posted. Then you have to think about all you read and go, can I bring my gun inside or do I have to lock it in a safe, take the safe in, have it inspected, unlock, place only one gun on bench, keep ammunition separate, get the....... What the hell is going on here. The bright side to this review is this. There are some modern ranges now in tulsa, ran by people who like other people, who like to have fun shooting, and talking to customers instead of trying ( unsuccessfully ) to intimidate shooters. The place is dirty, run down, poorly ventilated ( blow your nose after shooting it will be black, yeah gross) and uses space heaters and is still cold in winter. A better experience awaits anywhere else I am sorry to say. So much for paying big bucks for the life membership. Thanks a bunch Riley. Just moved to Tulsa from California and went exploring. My girl and I love to shoot so we came by to see what they offer and are in love! Both guys working were extremely nice and helpful ( the opposite of California shops) they took the time to answer all questions we had even though they knew we couldn't purchase any firearms yet. The shop was clean and organized and the firing lines were great. Gun selection was a little small but they can order for you! Overall the best experience we have had in a shop in a very long time..we will be back to purchase and shoot, oh and we will be joining the membership! Highly recommended! read more

I have been a customer/member of Tulsa Firearms for just over 10months. I have never heard Tulsa Firearms employee be rude or bash another customer behind their backs. The gun selection isn't that great, the gun accessories are worse. Very limited gun cleaning supplies. The indoor gun range is dated, if more than one person is firing, you will taste gun powder in the air. The range has little to no air filtration. The range needs to be brought up to date to give customers option to shoot between 5 and 7 yards, like the indoor range on Admiral and Yale allows you to do. Cons: Requires membership to rent a gun One day pass is $25 They don't offer FFL transfer service Outdated Indoor range My advice to new shooters or anyone wanting to shoot in a cleaner environment, check out indoor range at Admiral and Yale. I am an a avid shooter and normally shoot at a different range, however for Xmas my wife bought me the bronze membership. I recently took one of my son in laws with me to go shooting and since I already had a membership I thought it was time to visit this place and get my membership squared away. Man was I disappointed. 1st I don't know what the $80 bucks my wife spent was for. 2 men, our own guns, 6 paper targets and 100 rounds of junk 22 shells in a Baggie was $37.50 with my membership discounts! The showroom is dirty and dingy and that pretty much describes the ranges too! Even with my membership I never plan on returning to this ripoff joint.
