Dr.Tulpule has always been rude and has a bad attitude. She yells. She cannot put herself in others shoes.
What is really hurting me is that I had a thyroid surgery scheduled. Dr.Tulpule sent me for lot of tests in preparation for my surgery. I had two days left for my surgery, when I had to for two more tests. The hospital will not do an MRI- which is my final test, if they did not get the results for the second to last test. My surgery will not take place if all my test results are completed and faxed to my surgeon. I work full time. I had to write to my corporate office to get leave. The second to last test results comes to Dr.Tulpulee's office. I called Dr.Tulpulee's office many times from work and they said the test results did not come in yet.. So I called Dr.Tulplee and asked her since I am at work, and there is only two days left for my surgery, will your girls(three full time assistants) call me at my cell number and let me know when test result comes in, so that I could quickly go for my last test in preparation for my surgery. Dr.Tulpulee was rude and yelled at me saying"We don't have to call you. You should call us. It is your need". Sorry! This so called Dr. Tulpule does not know ABCD of courtesy. Every doctor's office gives out these courtesy phone calls. How many times can I call from my office since I do not know when the test results come in. My Optometrist whom I have had for 15 years, called me at my work, cell and home when my first pair of glasses came, called again when my second pair of glasses came. They feel with the patient and knows how important it is to have proper glasses. My dentist whom I had for 12 years just calls and let me know anything that comes to their office.
When you go to her office, there is no follow up from the previous visits. For example,"Your pervious cholesterol test showed this number. Your second cholesterol test shows this number, your sugar is high. What can we do to improve the situation? On one of the physical no mammogram referral was given? These are some of the questions a primary doctor should ask her patient. Are you allergic to something? Perhaps may be she is not specialized in Internal Medicine. She has no structure. I agree with two other patients who have written in other websites, "it feels like she wants you out of there very fast".
She sees patients every 20 minutes and attention to detail is clearly missing. For example-I go to her office for my thyroid tests every year. But her assistant asked me to come in earlier than a year saying that the computer showed that I never came in to the tests since March 2012. So I panicked because that means Dr. Tulpule did not do my tests for a year and a half. I informed her that I had the paperwork to show that I came in September 2012. Her assistant did not even bother to open my file and check. She forced an appointment for me and I had to cancel my appointments at work suddenly and took a day off unnecessarily. In spite of my repeated phone calls, none of her assistants nor Dr.Tulplule even bothered to open my file and check when exactly I came in to do my tests. Finally when I went to her office and talked to her she was disrespectful to me and yelled at me for asking her "why I had to come in that day, as I my one year is not up yet". All in all I missed two days of work due to negligence again by her and her office. When I arrived at her clinic, her assistant is telling me that they do not do blood test there anymore. "You have to call Quest Diagnostics". When I called Quest from her clinic, Quest does not have an appointment until next week. This is something which Dr.Tulpulee's office should communicate with her patients especially when I called the clinic at least four times previous to this arrival so that I could schedule all my appointments the same day. That means since Quest did not have an appointment on that day, I lost two days of work. Then I called her again after missing two days of work and finally she opened my file and admitted her mistake after the fourth phone call.
She just does not know what patient doctor interaction and communication means. She is not open for communication at all and is rude. Then another time, she yelled at me two days before my surgery and then she apologized when she found it was a mistake. Considering I have my optometrists, dentists for twelve to fifteen years, I do believe myself to be an amicable patient. read more
