I decided to try this gym a year and a half ago, on the recommendation of a couple of friends. I was looking for a way to build up endurance and fitness during the week, so that hiking on the weekends would be more enjoyable. I found this and so much more.
The culture is one of inclusion, and fun. I feel like part of a community of people who want to keep bettering themselves. I am a stronger hiker, I look better (that's why we join a gym, right?) and I feel better, mentally and physically. The coaches really want to help you set and reach goals, and they are sticklers for teaching proper technique to keep us injury free.
The workouts are adaptable for all levels of fitness and abilities, with just enough competitive activity to keep you pushing yourself, and enjoying the workout.
I can't say enough about how CrossFit Tuff has improved my life.
If you are like me, (not much confidence in your athletic abilities) yes, this will be intimidating, when you walk in the door. However, the staff will get you over that feeling in minutes. The first couple of classes will leave you wondering how you never knew you had so many muscles that can hurt. ;) Then.... you will become one of those people who goes to a cross fit gym. read more
