This is a great supportive environment for every athlete. (Even those who don't see themselves as athletes... yet!) Through some internal turmoil the day to day people stayed focused on giving everyone a good experience. I've grown for sure as I've gotten stronger and also had some setbacks. The associated Gym CrossFit Pepperell suffers from one thing: Eric's leadership. He charges the same rates as his bigger gyms while leaving this one with outdated equipment, less space, and no investment. He talks about "community" but shows no understanding of what that actually means. Turning off comments on his own video while saying "my door is always open" tells you everything about how he leads -- with ego, not with integrity. Plenty of other gyms value their members. Long review warning.. Ive been going for about 6 months. Some of the coaches are more concerned about your completion time of the workout then your actual fitness goals. Though it is not something that is important to me, you can tell it is part of the competitive nature of the gym. At the end of class, the coach individually calls out your name to single out each member and their completion time, if you don't know your time or don't care-you can tell their brains emplode. This one coach just yells at you the entire workout and I literally can't understand anything he's saying. I've seen him belittle a member who is inexperienced and just wants to use the class to move. We all have different fitness goals and I'm not motivated by rudeness. But not all of the coaches are like this and I just try to avoid the classes that power trip coaches are teaching. Most of the coaches here are very polite and respectful. Though you still might get one that will mansplain the work out or move to you instead of giving you actual helpful feedback. If you are super competitive and in great shape, this is the gym for you. This is a large gym with lots of equipment. They are obsessed with how fast you can complete the workout. There are clean, working showers. The class times are better then any other crossfit gym I've seen in the area. Their workouts are great. They definitely put members on the spot if you are the last one doing the workout. I believe it's to motivate the person who is behind but it just makes me feel uncomfortable. I end up not wanting to finish the workout. Especially if people start yelling and gathering around you while you are completely vulnerable from fatigue and can't catch your breath. Crossfit is pricey. This gym is no different. They offer body scans and personal sessions included in your membership to help you navigate and stay on track which is helpful to most people. There is a large selection of healthy snack bars, protein supplements, and even a meal service if you need anything. Kid friendly. I was hoping to have more of a community feeling after joining but people in crossfit are notorious for not being welcoming and judgemental. It also depends on what time the class is. Clean, organized gym. Took my daughter to try the kids class, coach Stacy was awesome! Gym as a whole is kid & pet friendly! Because of my daughters age it was suggested she try out the teen class this week but we already pretty sure we're signing her up! So glad we found this place! I have been attending CFN for three years. I have met some truly great people and developed relationships at this gym that have changed my life. I have been at CrossFit Nashua for a little over a year now. I was hesitant and nervous at first and it took me awhile to feel comfortable going but the owners and coaches are truly outstanding. The encouragement and excitement they show to all their members is contagious! They make you want to work harder which only benefits you. I never thought CrossFit was something I would enjoy and now it's a huge part of my life. Oh and I've made some great friends! I highly recommend CrossFit Nashua! read more

So true story about my CrossFit experience. About 5 years ago my girlfriend at the time and I attended a walk in class at CrossFit Southie, she of course loved it but I hated it. At the time I was more of a regular gym guy where I get to do my own thing at my own pace and she wasn't. So because I didn't like it we never signed up for a membership. A year later we moved to Hudson, NH where she decided to try CrossFit on her own because she didn't like regular gyms and she also wanted to meet new people and make friends. So she signed up at the local CrossFit gym, started to like it and ended up loving everything CrossFit. Then she tries one more time to get me to give it another shot so I did, and once again I hated it. I literally hated CrossFit and wanted nothing to do with it, didn't even want to hear the word CrossFit. It was just too fast paced for me to the point I wanted to pass out. Clearly I was out of shape and my stamina and cardio was seriously lacking. So 3 years goes by and she's still at it and loving it, from competing to even becoming a Level 1 coach. Just last year in July we realized that since we moved again but this time a few towns over from her gym, that her commute was longer, days were longer, she wasn't able to see our dogs and me as much as she used to that I had to jump in and say something. I made an agreement with her that if she would switch to a gym that's closer to where we live so she can get home a lot earlier to spend more time with the dogs and I that I would fully commit to joining CrossFit with her. I was asking a lot because she had already made new friends and liked the people at her gym and asking her to leave was a hard decision. But I was 100% serious and was totally willing to keep my word and now it's been 7 months since signing up at CrossFit Nashua and I/WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! This gym is perfect, the coaches are perfect and the members are so cool to workout with everyday. There's no intimidation, no looking down at each other, no big egos and definitely no negative energy at this gym. Everyone gets along, respects each others space and their workouts, there's no selfishness what's so ever and that's what I like to see. I'm proud to be a member here and I can see myself staying here working out side by side with these members and coaches for as long as I'm still living in NH. Definitely check the gym out, take a free class and before you know it you'll be doing RX workouts, all kinds movements you didn't think your body could do and competing just like me. read more

I literally never write reviews but I am admittedly an unsatisfied and soon to be former member. Be very careful if you consider signing up for a membership. Do a drop in class first before committing I wish I had. There is plenty of expensive equipment, and there are convenient class times but otherwise this place fails in every way. Upon entering I was met with a less than friendly, less than cordial attitude.The staff here are self-righteous and condescending, including the owner. The owner uses bullying techniques to get his way with his CUSTOMERS. See for yourself... The comments he makes on other negative reviews speak for themselves. A good example of this, in particular, is found on the facebook reviews. I tried this place based on the positive reviews, but I think people are too afraid of the bully to post about their real feelings. For the kind of fee I paid for the month, I would expect a much more professional staff, especially the owner....Once I got past the icy receptionist, the facility was actually pretty large. There is no nutritional counseling. What makes me the most hesitant about the whole gym is the cleanliness or lack thereof. Much is due to the use the place gets but a lot is due to upkeep. The bottom line is there is a lot of competition in the gym business. I strongly urge you to not go to this place. The vibe of the whole gym was a little off for me and the lighting could use a lot of work. The price was a little more expensive than the other ones in the area but based on the great reviews I figured we could give it a try. Lesson learned . If you've got money to burn and you like being treated with very little regard, come on down! read more

Was treated appallingly by the owner here. After a horrible experience, I left a negative but fair review on here and on Facebook. The owner himself proceeded to tracked me down at my WORKPLACE to bully me to take the review down. I first told him, but I very nicely, how inappropriate it was that he contacted me at my workplace. Then, I explained, again, very calmly and nicely, why I left the review I did. Rather than apologize and address the issue, he flat out said I was lying and blamed ME for his awful customer service skills. I have left reviews since then but he somehow manages to have them taken down. Look on their Facebook page. He bullies people right on there if they leave a negative review. He comments rude and obnoxious things on their reviews. Maybe instead of bullying your customers and getting defensive over stupid things, try fixing the issue. Then the 1 star review turns into a 5 star AND you get a customer for life. It's customer service 101. I'm glad to say I have happily found another crossfit that I have been with full time for over a year. I can only hope you eventually learn for your mistakes. Treat customers right. This was my first time every trying CrossFit, and I must say that the workout was challenging and I felt good afterward. The reason why I am giving this 3 stars is because of the staff. Now I was reluctant to try CrossFit because of the fact that I heard it was easy to hurt yourself. I was told however by a friend who does the program, that the trainers at her box always make sure that you could never hurt yourself, and that they correct your form all of the time. When I got to the gym, I was introduced to the person behind the desk. She showed me around and then told that me that she would introduce me to the trainer. She walked away and never did so. When the class started, I was pleased to see that most of the people that were in the class with me were new as well. However this is when the trouble began. I had no idea what I was supposed to do/how to follow the schedule or how to do any of the exercises. One trainer did a quick demonstration of each exercise (1 time) and then told us to begin. During this time, the trainers chatted with each other, and never once did come over to correct form or even say if we were doing the exercises right. We then broke off into a smaller group to the W.O.D exercises. Again the one trainer showed us the move 1 time and then said begin. She stated that this program was for form, and not for how many reps you could do. During this time, she didn't once correct anyone's form. Now I have been going to a regular gym for quite some time, and have had a personal trainer. I may not be an expert on things, but I could tell that some people in my group were doing moves completely wrong! We were on a rowing machine, and I saw people hunched over, pulling with their arms and really moving in ways that they shouldn't. I looked over for the trainer, and she was chatting with the other trainer. (I would have thought that watching the clients to ensure that the people were doing the moves in the correct way would have been beneficial especially since almost everyone had said that they had never been to a CrossFit class before.) At one point, I had a lady who had joined the gym a month prior come over and tell me I was doing something wrong. I felt like I got more information from her than anyone else. In the email that I received, it stated that after the workout, I could then talk to someone about the program more. Not once did the trainers come over to check on how I thought things went, or even come over to ask if I had any questions. Although the workout was good, I felt as if an injury could happen due to the fact that form was not being corrected. CrossFit may be the new exercise for me, but definitely at another box. read more
