My Western medicine physicians confirmed I was ill, but they did not know why. My symptoms included respiratory and digestive distress, but the worst symptom was relentless, overwhelming fatigue, unrelieved by sleep and rest. This required I reduce my work hours and I was forced to discontinue all my volunteer and social activities. It was devastating. Western doctors performed numerous tests (blood, urine, throat cultures, etc.) and they said I had elevated white blood cells, but suggested no diagnosis or treatment. After almost of three months of feeling inexplicably ill and exhausted (and multiple doctor visits with different specialists), after my first visit to the Acupuncture and Allergy Clinic, the clinician gave me homeopathic remedies and Asian herbal supplements, and I was completely better within TWO WEEKS. When I began to have chronic pain again, in another area of my spine (low back now), I tried PT, OT, Warm baths, ice, heat, meds on my own, etc. and when none of that worked I called Pima Pain Center and got an appointment within a few days. The chiropractor, Dr. Bolton, was great! I trust that all of this will be addressed and I can resume my life with comfort again soon. I loved having this place as part of my routine for many years, which makes it especially disappointing to write this review. I never had any problems with the female staff, who were always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I had repeated uncomfortable interactions with one male staff member who I experienced as condescending and dismissive. Eventually, he accused me of "taking advantage" of the business regarding policies that had never been clearly communicated to me. After five years as a loyal customer, I found this incredibly disrespectful. Had someone simply communicated the policies clearly and professionally, I would have followed them. When I brought my concern to the owner, the interaction escalated rather than being resolved. I was told there was "always a problem" when I was there--something that had never previously been communicated to me--and I left feeling talked down to, intimidated, and unwelcome. As a woman, I think other female customers should be aware of this dynamic. Over time, the atmosphere increasingly felt like "bro" vibes to me, and unfortunately my final interaction reinforced that feeling. I emailed the owner afterward explaining how upsetting the experience had been and received no response. The facility is decorated with images of Marilyn Monroe and is very pretty, but the waiting area is heavily perfumed with air freshener or potpourri. I have a respiratory condition and I am uncomfortably sensitive to scents; I had to wait on the bench outside. My injector, Mayra, was young and has been doing this for only a year (I always ask because I inquire about their experience with the needles and the procedures.) She said she used to work for and was trained by a cosmetic surgeon. Despite her youth and relative inexperience, she was skilled in administering. Instead of Botox, Mayra suggested a similar neurotoxin product called Jeuveau, which is slightly more effective than Botox, and less expensive, because they were offering a special. I had it injected at both my 11s on the forehead and the crows feet near the eyes. I have not noticed a difference using neurotoxin around the eyes (twice elsewhere) before, but figured I'd try again, since it was a new facility and a new product. I have strong forehead muscles and I often need maximum units to get the desired result. I received 9 units at the crows feet near each eye, and 24 units on my forehead. It has been a week and I am pleased with the natural yet noticeable results. My eyes look more "open" and my forehead is improved. Mayra said if I can still significantly wrinkle my brows in 2 weeks to come back to touch it up. I might consider other skin care procedures here.

And that is exactly the feeling that you get when you go in there. The front desk are armed with their Apple computers and hidden behind the screens. They are not very sensitive to esoteric needs. What do i mean? In an effort to coordinate this i was in contact via text. I was trying to figure out who it was that i was conversing with. The person began using abbreviations like "FD" where i had to clarify what she meant; and it was "Front Desk". The place is a bit hard to find and I had to call for coordinates and was rifled off "commands" as to how to get there which was memorized in the presenters mind but not really intuitve. Like she just wanted to "get it out of her system" without regard for whether someone would be able to understand. These are signs to me of what is in store. So when I got there i was given a computer to fill out an inordinate amount of forms. No sooner did i get the ipad that the battery went out. But who wants to fill out all this information on an ipad where there is not a desk; you are just kind of struggling with the keys as you sit in a waiting room chair. Like it doesn't lend itself to use for this purpose because there is not support for the ipad to stay on your lap. If its on your lap you can't really use the keyboard do you see what i mean? Then I went into the bathroom and saw the heaping trash. These are things that people see; we don't care how dainty Carrie says that she is. Then they put me in a treatment room with a towel or fur comforter that looked dirty. The table wasn't adjusted at all and i sat and sat and sat and sat until i walked out. That was my experience. For me its not a place for guys. But again dare i say that these actressess might want to consider some of what i say. But they won't; I can see that as clear as day. They are set in their ways. It is his fault you see. They will falter and falter to the point of ad nauseum. As long as the facade of the Apple computers at the front desk are fired up and ready to go; that is all that matters. The show must go on. Thats all.
