I ordered a fish sandwich. My first complaint is that it was fried to a crisp, burned. Second, I tried to eat it and as I swallowed something was scratching me at the top of my throat so I gagged it back up. A whole piece of broken glass. I took a picture and held onto the glass so I could show the restaurant. Please inspect your food well before eating from here, won't be ordering again.

Decided to try this establishment today. Love supporting my people. The gentleman who helped me was friendly and smiled. They have a good vibe and definitely work the space they are in. The pulled chicken sandwich (misspelled on the menu) was good. The bread was fresh, and they did not drown it in bbq sauce, just enough. The green beans were canned beans and not fresh and could have used seasoning. (Just opened can and heated.) I had 2 orders of green beans one was fresh out the can and the other seemed to be fresh out a glass of water one was dark skinned and one was light skinned. Thus, it makes me feel they are not consistent or big on quality. I would never give a customer food that looked old to the point that they would have to question if its edible. Mac and cheese was okay. They put sugar in it. I don't think sugar has to be everything. The brisket was not brisket. It's sliced ham. Brisket is cow. This was pig. Shameful that they served that under the name brisket. The pulled pork sandwich was ok, nothing special. And the souther punch was good. All in all, I respect their hustle and credit them for creating jobs in their community. However, I would just say that quality needs to be higher on their vision board. Hold yourselves to a higher standard and shine brighter.

I noticed this place opened up near me so I was excited to try. Especially since it was a local business. I decided on the pulled pork BBQ sandwich and french fries. It took awhile for my food to be prepared but I patiently waited until the pager went off to let me know my food was ready. The BBQ sandwich was soggy and the bottom bun was soaked. This was rather disappointing. There was also sauce on the sandwich which was ok. They also charge an additional .59 for cole slaw that most restaurants include as a topping for a BBQ sandwich. The French Fries were also soggy and weren't crispy as you would expect Fries to be. Hopefully the food improves. Honestly I have had better BBQ and Fries from other places.

Online receipt and order summary that was on the bag that contained only 1 crinkle fry.

Waited 2 hours for food just to not even get what I paid for! Didn't have the sauce for my wings I ordered, or the drink.

A Bite of Maine - Lobster Roll

Bite of Maine has had me in a committed relationship with lobster for YEARS, and frankly, the other…read morelobster spots can stop calling. They simply do not compare. The lobster roll is the star of the show--tender, juicy, buttery perfection piled into a soft roll like it knows exactly how important it is. I will say, the amount of lobster seems to have slimmed down a little over the years...maybe an ounce or so? And yes, I noticed. I have photographic evidence! I've been sending pictures of these glorious lobster rolls to my sister for years purely to rub this delicacy in her face, so I basically have my own unofficial lobster-roll archive. The crinkle-cut fries are another must, especially with a little Old Bay sprinkled on top. That tiny dusting takes them from "good fries" to "hand me another basket immediately." And don't sleep on the fried shrimp platter. The shrimp are plentiful, nicely seasoned, and consistently one of my favorites when I somehow manage to order something besides lobster. I've had the whoopie pies. I've had the Snap Dogs. They're perfectly fine, I'm sure. But this body was not built on "perfectly fine." This body was built on the REALLY good stuff. LOBSTER. Bite of Maine remains my lobster-roll champion. Everybody else is just out here participating. Inside is cool and quaint, lobster eclectic with a community vibe. Service is fast!

My brother is in the hospital and may not see another Friday so I needed a good haddock fish fry to talk about with him .... and I found one even though it was not beer battered. A Bit of Maine offers a perfect seaside ambiance ... it's like stepping up to a clam shack. Yes, you have to wait in line because there is no table service. Young lady greeted me with a smile and gave me a sample of the chowder! Asked for tap water and she provided albeit in a rather small plastic cup. The tables are ready for diners ... ketchup, hot sauce and malt vinegar. Will admit that even for me the temperature was rather cool inside. It's a pleasant CASUAL ... VERY CASUAL ... dining room. Lots of take out orders came and went so obviously something good is happening here!! My platter exceeded expectations!! Lots of perfect French fries!! LOTS of them!! A decent sized cup of a little above average cole slaw. And a really nice piece of perfectly fried oh so sweet perfection (I already wrote perfect didn't I!) haddock ... ok, it wasn't beer battered so it was not a perfect rendering of a Buffalo Friday Fish Fry but I am not complaining because I was happy! The chowder (Yes, the sample convinced me!) was tasty in a briny sense of the word with lots of fish and yes lobster in it along with some potatoes. A large chowder would make a very satisfying meal. And, I hurried back to the ICU to tell my brother even though he couldn't answer. I am sure that like me, he was happy that I had such a great Friday HADDOCK fish fry!!

Recently tried them at Oozlefinch…read more VERY expensive. $19 for a "rib dinner" that consists of 2 bones (not perfect bones by any stretch, not much meat at all, St. Louis style meaning with rib tips left intact), fries, coleslaw and a basic roll (no butter). Ribs had a good rub, but I had a bone sliver piece that should only have been a throw in and my one "good" rib had very little meat. You would need to order 3 orders to get a half rack. Fries were thin and very good. Coleslaw had good flavor but was drenched and too wet for me. Food truck pricing has just gotten out of control and this is one of the worst I've experienced. It kind of ruined the experience of the place I was at. My suggestion to them is that a dinner has to be at least 3 bones. Or bump the price to $21 and do 4 bones. 2 bones needs to drop the price. I'd also use less coleslaw dressing. If value does not matter to you, the food is decent.

When I walked back to make sure my buzzer was working (since other people were having problems) I'm assuming the wife was very rude and seeming like my question was an inconvenience for her, yet she was doing absolutely nothing but sitting there. I felt bad for the man working, I will say he was working his tail off trying to get the orders through with no help!

I've never heard of them before, but shrimp po'boys are one of my weakness. When I got there, there wasn't any line probably because it was 30 minutes before they close. Their menu is simple and the meals are quite affordable compared to the other food trucks that serve po'boys. Of course, I ordered the shrimp po'boy with extra sauce on the side. The fries is already included on the meal so that was a plus. I waited for about 5 minutes as they cook my food. It was kind of awkward though standing next to the truck because the staff closed their window. I had some questions regarding the meal, but I had to wait until she opened the window again. As for the food, I was surprised to see that they use some kind of sour dough bread or french bread (sorry I do not know the difference). Usually whenever I order po'boys there, it is served in a hotdog buns. Therefore I really liked that it is served with a different kind of bread other than hotdog bun. The po'boy has a very good amount of huge shrimps. There's nothing special about their fries though. Overall, if they are in the area and I am having po'boy cravings, I will definitely be back.

The mozzarella one is all cheese inside with the jalapeño one is a hotdog inside. Both were insanely delicious but I had a slight preference for the cheese one. The batter is delicious and the sugar topping creates that perfect savory and sweet balance. We also got an order of the Chinese donuts which came with chocolate and strawberry dipping sauces. Lastly, we ordered the triple sauced chicken which came with rice. Everything was delicious but the corn dogs are for sure the standouts! You must try one! This is a family run business and you can tell they put a lot of work into their food. Go to Facebook or Instagram to find out where they'll be and try out their food. I'll be hunting them down for another mozzarella corn dog.
