I am genuinely appalled by Dave and his complete lack of professionalism and the disrespect I was treated with. Below is the initial Google review I left for the business (before Dave took down their Google Business account since it clearly shows his true colors), and attached are my emails with Dave without skipping any replies (including my own). This is not a man you want to go into business with. Initial google review: "I'm not one to write negative reviews whatsoever, but I'm honestly quite disappointed by my experience here. Dave and I spoke via email where he directly agreed to complete the job of repairing BOTH my driver's side door and bumper for $1,500, despite the original estimate being $1,882. I was so excited to finally have my car fixed despite my limited student budget, but I made the stupid mistake of NOT signing an updated estimate when I dropped my car off. Dave said the job was a "handshake agreement" and sadly I don't believe this action means as much to Dave as it does to me. I came to pick up my car a few days later and my driver's side door looked fantastic, but my bumper was untouched despite still having to pay $1,530. I emailed Dave the next day reiterating that his previous email said he would complete the full project for $1,500 and asked if I could drop my car off the next week for the job to be completed. Dave replied by basically guilt tripping me talking about how he "discounted" the job by not doing my bumper because his men have mortgages, bills, etc. I completely understand this since I am in the same position, but that is NOT a discount nor what we had spoken about. If I had known the job would simply be incomplete or if Dave had been honest and just told me he could not provide any discount (which I would've understood with no problem), I would have taken my car elsewhere since I literally do not have any extra cash to pay for my bumper now. I originally planned on leaving an amazing 5 star review, and it's really disappointing that my kindness and understanding was taken advantage of when I would have been completely fine going elsewhere. Like I said though, my driver's side door looks great and the turnaround was super quick (hence why 2 stars instead of 1). My problem is not the quality of the work or the fact that I found the prices unreasonable, it's that nobody communicated to me that the job would just be incomplete and I was then guilted when I inquired about it when I could've just gone somewhere else." read more

Five of our vehicles, all separate body needs. Some were insurance claims, others were out of pocket. Each time we had work done from replacing Odyssey van trunk door to new front fender on a Ram 2500, a new driver side door and hood on a Jeep Cherokee...to front end repair on a civic....And trim on a classic antique Ford - they have made each vehicle like new again. Amazing work. Perfect paint detail. had a loose piece and they fixed it no questions asked. They handle dealing with insurance quite easily. Also work well if pay cash OOP. I dropped my car off at Tucker Custom and Body for some pretty major work: A complete respray with color change, custom work on my roof, and repairing of the rear quarter. Almost a year later, I got the car back. Their work is shown in the pictures. Now, a couple years down the road, the paint is peeling off the hood. read more

After my car got smashed up by a semi I thought it was done for. Dave and his crew were able to fix my car and make it look brand new. It's honestly unbelievable. They do a lot of custom and vintage cars but they can also fix newer/regular cars. Highly recommend these guys if you need body work. Rude Owner. He hung up on me without warning when I wouldn't tell him what the insurance settlement was.

Tucker Custom & Body is quite possibly the best auto body shop in all of Atlanta. Owner Dave Slocum is a wiz in the front office with customers and in the shop out back. After a run-in with a retention wall at a car wash, we were looking for a shop that didn't want a firstborn. And were we ever surprised! TCB made the repair in record time, and gave us a reasonable price. Take note, Atlanta proprietors -- fairness and the ability to do the job right brings customers in the door for the long haul, not padded invoices. Go Dave! read more

Dropped off a car and was told that it would be kept inside because the window was leaking. Was left outside and when I asked the front desk lady about that she immediately snapped that the car was now inside but it needs to be picked up because of the space. Didn't ask if I was going to get work done there or anything, just basically to get the car. That wasn't a huge deal and was still considering paying double what I was initially told as a ballpark number and leave it there until Michelle from the front desk completely changed my mind. I asked a reasonable question about the car being looked at and she got defensive, condescending and snappy. She told me it wasn't done when we spoke previously so I was confused on how it got done in 19 min and wanted to know if the car got put in the air. She was so rude and combative that I couldn't reasonably have a conversation with her over something so small. It wasn't until she realized I was the one paying that she changed her tone when she called back a couple hours later. Overall disappointing experience. The owner seemed nice so wanted to do it there but just another auto shop trying to scr*w ya over and treat you like crap. Don't be in customer service if you can't handle a basic question and treat customers who want work done kindly. Also the quote was ridiculous. Already was quoted at two other places for far less. read more
