I paid him by the day (it took a whole day to install 4 base cabinets), not knowing that he works like a 6 hour day, at like $100 per hour. Not my cup of tea... UPDATE 9/11/2012: I recently tore out the wall covering on the backside of wall where some of the cabinets were installed. I was surprised to see that John had actually missed several of the studs with screws. I'd definitely look elsewhere if I was doing a similar project in the future.
