The consistent message from faculty is "thank you for trusting us with your child's education- we are so glad that you are here." This positive energy sets the tone for our entire experience. Our daughter has always been a hardworking student. But the incredible depth of experiences and resources offered, combined with the empowering atmosphere of the school, are clearly promoting leadership qualities. It is evident to us that she is thriving in the all-girls setting, and she is much more willing to be assertive, take risks, and be herself. I'm sure there are many great academic programs to choose from in our area, but seeing our daughter develop into a confident leader... we could not ask for more. The amazing list of extracurricular choices- many sports teams to choose from every season, dance, theater, music- it really can't be beat. We are also amazed at the group of girls in her grade- friendly, kind, out-going kids. We're so grateful that we chose St. Catherine's (and they chose us!).

Johnson E.S. is a Title 1 school in Henrico County and has a high Spanish speaking population. The teachers work hard at what they do. When my wife was the Family Advocate, I got to see this first hand. Very passionate in what they do.

Teachers in the infant room some of them have long nails and one of them is often coughing and…read moreothers actually said out loud that they are tried when I drop my kid in the morning (makes worry that how they can take care of babies though out the day). The final straw for me is that I know for a fact my baby was miserable during the time she was there. She was 4mo so very often being strapped into a chair and she will get anxious and cry and because nobody will pick her up therefore she will start scratch her face or legs until see blood. I am very anger and sad to see all new marks on her on a daily basis that I transferred her to other daycare in a very short amount of time.

My daughter has been going to Skipwith for 2.5 years. She loves it there. She loves the directors…read moreand the teachers. They treat her so well. The school is historic and beautiful. The rates are about the same all the other centers in the area and they provide breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. In the summer they have educational fun field trips and a private pool, as well as in house events! We love Skipwith!
