In terms of academics, it is a decent school. However, this schools administration is truly…read moreterrible in my opinion. The administration does absolutely zero solutions in any situation. The school does not hesitate to violate its own "code of conduct", often to benefit the school, even if it harms its students. The school will do nothing if a student is harassed or bullied, and it will cover up any incidents that occur at the school without even attempting to solve them if it will make the school look bad. Again, the actual academics are good, but I would strongly advise against going here, due to the administration.

We had a very unpleasant experience with this establishment. From a revolving door of teachers to…read morethe absence of communication from staff and administration, much was lacking at Central Montessori. The communication issues were evident from the start. We never received a school calendar or got added to the mailing list upon enrollment, so we were surprised with several school closures in our initial time there. Over the course of roughly six months, the teachers were unable to follow through on the meager commitment of one short note per week to let us know how our child was doing in class. We had no idea what he was doing during the day and eventually he returned home with language and behavior consistent with a complete lack of Montessori principles being used in the classroom. ("I'm a bad kid... I'm going to sit in the corner....etc.) After voicing concern about multiple changes in teacher with no notification, the director told me the new assistant teacher wasn't certified, didn't have the requisite experience, but was "super interested in teaching Montessori." At this point, I started enquiring about our location of waitlists elsewhere. It is clear that Central knows they have parents trapped due to the lack of options for childcare in the area, because they let the disorganization and unprofessionalism continue. We eventually could tell that our child was not receiving the care or education we were promised, so we found a new school where he is absolutely thriving. I sincerely hope that a change in leadership can turn the tide at Central for the sake of the other children and families still enrolled.

Sadly, what we experienced was far from what was advertised. The school's environment is toxic, driven by fear-based discipline and troubling situations that left our children anxious, disengaged and insecure. This approach caused lasting emotional and academic harm, which we're still addressing. The administration's petty behavior--marked by manipulation, dishonesty, gaslighting, and dismissive responses to concerns--made things worse. They prioritize image over addressing real issues, leaving families feeling unheard or cut out. Disturbingly, children are exploited purely for the school's image, enduring gaslighting and mistreatment that mirrors how parents are treated. In 2023-24, at least eight families (that I know of) left this small school; in 2024-25, at least 17 families (~40 children), including ours, left, some mid-year. Many of these families were trusted volunteers in the community. Seven teachers and administrators also departed this year, reflecting the chaotic environment. I wish I'd seen honest reviews before enrolling. If this helps even just one family avoid the pain our children and many others have endured, it's worth sharing. Please do your research before going here and don't disregard the red flags you may see.
