I'd never gotten into the whole hippy/alternative medicine thing before, but was desperate. I had also never done acupuncture before either, and had no idea what to expect. After many (20?) sessions, I was back on my feet and ready to take on the world again. Jumbe is a "healer". He helped me get past some really difficult stuff. I have been free of migraines for 7+ years! I can't recommend him enough!

Jumbe has been treating me for 2 months now, and the results are wonderful. I was treated for repetitive motion injury in my right hand, arm & elbow. I was using a brace and barely able to function. I now no longer need the brace, and the pain is better every treatment. I also suffer from chronic pain due to a back injury and two surgeries. He helps me tremendously. He knows just where to treat to nip it in the bud. His herbal medicine is amazing too. I have been able to reduce my medicines by 1/3 and I am hoping little by little to get rid of most of them. Thanks Jumbe!

He is highly skilled in what he does, has deep knowledge of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, and is also very caring, warm, and compassionate. In addition to acupuncture, Dr. Lee also loves to educate his patients with a good sense of humor about nutrition (especially eating breakfast, lol) and other healthy lifestyle choices for longevity. I really enjoy chatting with him and have learned so much. I've been feeling so much better in a short amount of time since I started seeing Dr. Lee and wish I came to him sooner. My energy is up and pain decreased. I'm so glad I found him and wanted to introduce him to everyone I know who needs treatment with a holistic approach!

She was treating an illness that was severe and life altering and included extreme fatigue, body pain, nerve pain, and many other unusual symptoms. She was always remarkably intuitive and knew exactly what my body needed at each visit (she used various modalities of heat, cupping and had a massage therapist in office in addition to her acupuncture and herbal supplements.) I tried so many different avenues to get help to recover and Dr. Deng provided by far the most effective treatment. She is kind, thoughtful, professional but very personable and her breadth of knowledge was amazing! I highly recommend her and will always be grateful for her care and support during those difficult years.

First Encounter: Dr. Shapiro gave me a free consultation…read more In my first visit he stated, "Not only would he get me up and running [the beach] again, he told me I would be in even better shape" He has kept that promise, as I have returned to my regular activities. My Story: Dr. Shapiro is the second chiropractor, I've ever seen. After a recent vehicle accident I can truly say that he made a significant impact on my health (esp. my lower back, shoulder and neck). There was a time where I had trouble exercising, sleeping or perform my daily routines. I am happy to say I am back at my previous potential and I feel better and stronger everyday. The Doc: Dr. S. is a pleasant, easy going, laid back kinda guy, who is thorough in his practices. He was sure to address any and all my concerns, which put me at ease. In my case, he went above and beyond to insure his client was receiving the adequate care. Treatments: I discovered he does a lot of rehabilitation. In fact, he met me at my gym and gave me a personal training/ physical therapy session. He taught me techniques and strength routines. He is equipped with more chiropractic gadgets than I knew were available. What gave me the most relief were the drop table, chiropractic adjustments, microcurrent electrotherapy and especially the chiropractic gun. I would recommend Dr. Shapiro to anyone, who wants to receive premiere care. He tells it to you straight and gets you well on your way to recovery.

Under Dr. Shapiro's care, I always feel better immediately after our sessions. But more importantly, overall, I've definitely noticed fewer flare-ups, even during physically demanding work situations. He also offers advice and guidance -- which includes some home exercises and implements like water pillows, wedges and cold/hot packs -- to help me alleviate issues in between appointments. He gives it to me straight, which I like. No overpromises or unrealistic expectations. And he's knowledgeable and willing to work with his patients on timing, plans and treatments. I also like that he's an independent business. No chiro factory here. I'd rather pay a seasoned practitioner for treatments that I feel are helping me than a flashy office and conveyor-belt approach to patient care.

I've been coming to Dr. Picha since May of this year. I heard about him through a friend referral…read more My problems were lower back pain and groin/leg pain. I have no idea what initiated my pain and I was never diagnosed through my regular doctor as having any particular condition. Dr. Picha was optimistic upon seeing me that my pain was treatable and not a life sentence. We started several treatments on a weekly basis. I felt alot better right away with an overall reduction of pain, perhaps like 40%. This got me very excited! As time continued I knew his treatments were helping but periodically I would still get a little down because the pain still lingered (it was just alot less pain). One thing I will say about Dr. Picha is that he GENUINELY cares about his patient's pain. I can feel his sincerity and concern whenever I'm in his presence. He follows up...he calls to inquire about your status...and he made an emergency visit after hours to help me when my body had an unexpected relapse. He told me to stay encouraged and not to give up on the progress we'd made. He assured me that the treatments would kick in stronger over time and that I could be at a zero percent pain level. I will make this summary about my experience with Dr. Picha: 4 months since coming to him I am now PAIN-FREE in my back and groin!!!! This has been for several weeks to well over a month (so recovery was approx. around 2-3 mo.) that's I've felt no discomfort whatsoever. I am now going in for treatments periodically simply as ongoing maintenance and as a precaution. Dr. Picha ROCKS!!!! He's kind. He's rates are reasonable. He's experienced. He's no-nonsense. He's just good at what he does. If you're looking for a doctor who is truly interested in helping you get better and delivering results, consider Dr. Picha. He's the best chiropractor I've ever had and I'm glad that I found him. I hope this review helps somebody...the way Dr. Picha helped me.

He also assessed my other joints and now I have complete range of motion in my neck and a healthier back. A few months later, I injured my hip again to the point of severe pain and barely able to walk. Dr. Picha was able to see me within a couple of hours. Instantly, I had decreased pain and better ambulation and within a few days it was as if the injury never occurred. I feel like every appointment is like a new assessment with personal attention and the care is specific for me. I have seen several different chiropractors and Dr. Picha has been the best for me. It does not feel like a 20 minute assembly line routine or a push for an alternate agenda. He listens, is thoughtful, and attentive. I would recommend anyone to see Dr. Picha for clear and excellent care.

My HMO uses the unbelievably crummy Brown & Toland I.P.A., and Dr. Min is in-network with them…read more(and their only L.Ac. near me). So I went to his office for an appointment. To begin with, Dr. Min has a very questionable mastery of the English language, both in speaking and comprehension. Then he complained to me repeatedly about the hassles he had to endure dealing with my HMO insurance plan (like I need to hear this--and then why did he bother signing up with them in the first place?). He also expressed pessimism that my condition could be helped now that I had had back surgery (so why would I want to keep going back to someone who has little to no faith that he can do anything for me?). But the down-side of those three things pale in comparison to the fourth. Dr. Min had me strip down to my underwear for my acupuncture treatment (which is not unusual, nor is it inappropriate). But after he removed my needles, he failed to close the exam room door--and I'm lying there nearly naked! As if this weren't a big enough breach of privacy, Dr. Min shares his office with two women who work in a completely unrelated field, so the door was left wide open for them (and anyone else who might have entered the office, as the floor plan is wide open and the exam room was right off the lobby) to see my nearly naked body!! I have seen a number of L.Ac.s in my lifetime. Never have I experienced anything like this. Can you imagine an MD leaving an exam room door open and just walking away while you're nearly nude? Well it's no less inappropriate with an L.Ac.
