This is really a 6 star review. I was referred to Dr. Wong last year and I wasn't sure if chiropractic adjustments were really for me. But, I soon found out that they are definitely helpful for my constant neck and back pain. That being said, I've been going to Dr. Wong's practice for over a year and I try to go once a week. I've been dealing with a frozen shoulder this year and some nerve pain that occasionally effects my arm and hand. Dr. Wong is meticulous and works on my shoulder, arm, and hand massaging areas with enough pressure to ease up the tension and tight muscles. When he finishes my adjustments, a few on my neck and back, and the shoulder/arm massage, I feel tremendously a lot better. The time I spend with Dr. Wong is about 30 minutes. Sometimes, when I'm waiting, I use the shiatsu massage pad on the chair. That is wonderful for my neck and back. So, not only do I get adjustments, I get a nice massage as well (I use to go to Bed Bath and Beyond before they closed just to use their massage chair LOL). Now, I see Dr. Wong. Finally, I want to let others know that Dr. Wong is one of my favorite providers. Not only is he highly skilled and intelligent , but he also has excellent bed side manners. He is friendly, mild tempered, and he really listens to my concerns. I enjoy talking to him during my sessions, and it's pretty relaxing. Having said that, I never imagined saying having chiropractic adjustments are relaxing. Now that's a first! Other things to note, parking is metered on the street and plentiful. It has been two years since I wrote about my experience, and seeing Dr. Wong remains one of the biggest regrets of my life. My visit with him was tantamount to getting into a car accident, as I continue to live with chronic pain on my lower left back and can no longer move with the same amount of flexibility and ease I once enjoyed. I have been seeing Dr. Wong for about a month now and I must say I feel like a brand new person! I came in for an uncomfortable pain at the base of my neck and the middle of my shoulder blades and after that first visit the pain had significantly subsided. I also mentioned to Dr. Wong that I had a 9 year old ankle injury that prevented me from roller skating and wearing heels. His treatment gave me full range of motion in that ankle again--something I haven't had since I was about 18. WOW! I can't thank him enough. I was recommended by a friend to check out Dr. Wong some years ago after I threw out my lower back caused by heavy over head weightlifting. Took a quite a few number of adjustments over several months, but was so happy the sharp pains went away, I regained full range of motion, and could stand fully upright again. After that was addressed, Dr. Wong asked if there were any other joints or issues that bothered me. I mentioned I've long grown accustomed to lifelong neck stiffness and dull pain. I also noted I have horrible right knee pain whenever I would run even short distances. Dr. Wong addressed both for me -- things I didn't even think I needed an adjustment for. More recently during the past month, I had new stiff neck issue that lasted weeks and simply would not go away with self massage, ibuprofen, and heat pads. Saw Dr. Wong again to address, and got to try out cold laser therapy for it too. Asked for a pillow recommendation, and got the 'tri-core' pillow off Amazon -- definitely noticed an improvement over my foam pillow as a side sleeper. I hadn't seen Dr. Wong in some time and was surprised he remembered past conversations long ago -- he's very personable with light chatter during procedures. Dr. Wong is great. He knows the body well and adjusts his treatments as needed. He started off adjusting my thoracic spine but moved to my shoulder and then my neck as my body realigned with each treatment. He also won't tell you to come more than you need and he accepted my insurance which made it easy on the wallet. The one thing I wish he did more of is prevention. If you ask, he'll give you exercises to help prevent the problem from happening again but I had to ask. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Wong intermittently for a few years. I always feel better when I see him and leave feeling more spacious in my own skeleton. He listens carefully and asked lots of questions, checks in through various physical assessments, and does gentle adjusting. I highly recommend Dr. Wong. Initially, I was apprehensive about seeing a chiropractor and didn't know what to expect with the treatment. Back pain was making it difficult for me to carry on with my work as a caregiver which demands constant physical activity--pushing, pulling, lifting the patients. When I called to make an appointment, he was able to see me that same day. After a few adjustments, I was immediately able to bend down and touch my toes! I was amazed at the quick relief from intense pain. There was still a little pain, but it subsided in a few days. I was able to go back to work shortly thereafter. I really love my job, and because of the high level of physical activity, I find myself needing to see Dr. Wong every few months for what I call "general maintenance" on my back. Gotta love Dr Wong - he's always got my back. Literally, I come in with tangled muscles and out-of-whack bones, and leave feeling like more of a pre-Computer Era human and less of a hunched-over laptop drone. It's a beautiful thing! Chiropractors are like hair stylists in the sense that you have to enjoy spending time with them, and feel comfortable confessing your bad habits (using cheap shampoo, or selling your ergonomic chair on craigslist instead of keeping it like you should have). And Dr Wong is rad in this way. He is super mellow, very calming to be around - but not in an eerie, spiritual way. He's happy to share knowledge to help me feel better outside of his office, not just during my visits. Did you know that the "cracking" sound your body makes when it's being adjusted is actually air being released from the cramped space between your bones? Yup, just another trivia tidbit I learned from Dr. Wong. Best of all, his adjustment style is heavy on massage, vs. just snapping things into place. Most of my appointments last 30-40 mins because he'll massage certain areas before adjusting them. A very nice bonus, if you ask me! To say I am grateful to Dr Wong is an understatement! I am a ballet teacher. I did something to my back. I spent a week and a half in excruciating pain , barely able to walk or even turn over in bed. I was in and out of Dr offices, urgent care and even the emergency room with debilitating pain. All they would do for me is to give me pain killers and muscle relaxants which didn't even tough the pain and my pain just kept getting worse. I was seriously thinking I might have to give up teaching ballet. I called Dr Wong's office out of desperation. He fit me into his schedule in a very timely manner. He had me do several movements while he watched how my spine operated and determined it was a problem with my SI joint. I explained to him that I was really afraid to be adjusted because a previous chiropractor injured me. I also explained that I am very flexible and am worried about over correction. He said he would be very conservative with me. He used an activator and did one very skilled thump on just the perfect spot on my spine. I stood up and walked around pain free. I couldn't believe it? It took me a few seconds to comprehend that I could actually move around with no pain. He double checked to be sure my joint was gliding correctly. It was! I am 95% pain free. We will meet soon if my body doesn't heal this last 5% on it it's own. Also, payment was a breeze. I did my usual $25 co-pay and he will check with my insurance to see if chiropractic is covered. I had been to the urgent care where the doctor prescribed a muscle relaxer. It didn't help at all. I was in more pain and with less movement each day. When you go to a chiropractor, best case scenario is you leave remembering how you're "supposed" to feel, as in, alleviation of pain. I'm a casual chiropractic customer--no chronic pains or issues. However, I've had lower back issues from time to time and have seen my share of chiropractors. Most resulted in mediocre results. I went in because I was suffering from chronic lower back pain (bikram yoga practitioners, beware!) and a stiff neck with very low mobility on one side of the neck. Dr. Wong conducted a thorough exam, explaining with an anatomical model exactly where my nerves were being pinched, where the spines needed to be adjusted, what the ultimate chiropractic goal should be, etc. And then he magically fixed everything in less than 30 minutes. He is very ethical, calm, and gentle. He put some of my concave ribs back into place and straightened out my sacrum. Then he cracked my neck joints on both sides, and wow! I can turn my neck with full mobility! I could feel the difference in my steps as I left the office. No more pain in my left hip joint. I kept bobbing my head from side to side as I rode my bike home because...because I can! He charges $50/session for people without insurance, which is extremely reasonable.
