They were also so kind and friendly and patient with a nervous, emotional first time mom, answering all my questions, calming my fears and sending me pictures of my baby girl while I was at work. My daughter has thrived at the Goddard school. The programming has allowed her to blossom in her two years and I am so grateful for the teachers and staff that have been taking care of my girl these last few years.

Please be aware that this review is based on the tour that I did with my child and that I have no experience of day to day operations of this place. First impression stepping in is that it is dirty, there are dirty boots in the entry and the the entire place could have done with a good scrubbing. After being told they have approx. 80 kids attending at this school it kind of made sense that floors will get dirty quickly. If first impression was bad the worst was yet to come. The layout is poorly planned and I don't think the building was designed to hold so many children. There is clothing and other stuff everywhere which gives a very messy and cluttered impression. The classrooms are small for the amount of children and I don't what to think of how noisy and stressful it must be, for the smaller children during early morning/afternoon as they host kids from 8 different elementary schools. When I visited what would be my daughters class room they where just about rolling out the TV. Apparently they have DAILY "film time" session as a part of their curriculum. I also got to see when they served lunch, which a very saddening experience in itself. Not only was the portions tiny for an active growing children but the food itself was a gray unidentifiable "soup" served with some very dry pieces of carrot and 1/2 sausage bun. None of the kids seemed enthusiastic about it (who can blame them). No wonder we have failing school results and soaring obesity rates in this country when this is how we educate and feed our children. My heart goes out to the little ones and I feel for the families that might not have other options than to leave their kids in these type of facilities. The teachers (including the one giving the tour) was all very friendly and I do not doubt their good intentions but they seemed very tired and stressed out. To me the state of the place and the TV/lunch situation is a clear indication that the teachers don't have enough time/energy/resources to keep up with the high number of children.

No matter where you go or what type of "program" a school says they base their teaching strategies on its honestly all about the teachers and WMI has some of the most caring and nurturing of people around. They are so caring welcoming they make your child feel safe while allowing them to be independent and respectful and have some ownership in their learning and school. The students- AMAZING. They are the most well behaved group of kids you will ever meet... And happy!! Because they model after each other and the teachers are good at modeling discussing/explaining reasons for why we respect each other and act the way we act everyone is happy and just respectful of each other. I had a friend tour who was weirded out and Said it wasn't natural to be this well behaved almost cult like... But it just shows you kids can be respectful playful well behaved little people if they are expected to be. The friend actually toured and did an "experiential day" with the school and actually has her daughter starting end of the month!!! The director- joy is amazing and really caring for her student.. They all love her to pieces. I will say honestly she sometimes is a little disorganized with parents (forgets scheduled meetings with parents from time to time) but never lacks with the children. I think she just has tons on her plate teaching/training/running and amazing school that things fall through the crack sometimes. She really wants the family to be really involved in the community which is great. She is also very easily reached/available and in constant communication with parents. The one negative that I can think of is they don't help wipe the kids if they are potty trained. They want them to be independent and do it on their own. My daughter has come home multiple times with skid marks because I just don't think she can reach that far. I have mentioned it before but not seriously talked to the school about it. Honestly though... There is no other school that I would trust with teaching the right morals and learning how to interact in a community to become fully functioning little people than WMI. You will not regret your decision for going....

They have been so accommodating to my schedule and the kids absolutely love their days at this school. If I could give a 6 star rating I would. There are some days that I pick them up and they are bummed to leave. The learning curriculum is top-notch as well. I trust every teacher there and I know they want the best for my kiddos. My son will be finishing up pre-k at the end of this year and this was the best launching pad to give him a head start in kindergarten. Thank you to learning years and all that you do!

The staff were kind, dedicated, and many of them had been there for years. Now, more than a decade later, my grandchildren are attending the same school, and it's amazing to see so much has stayed the same in the best possible way. The same owners and director are still there, and I still see many familiar faces when I pick up my grandchildren from time to time. That kind of consistency speaks volumes. Learning Years is truly a special place. The care they show for the children and families is genuine, and it's clear that their top priority is always the well-being of the kids. We started our 3.5-year-old daughter here for her first exposure/experience with daycare/preschool…read moreor anything of that sort. We knew it would be an adjustment for her and us, but we felt comfortable that the school was prepared for it. Ultimately, we unenrolled her after a week due to an incident and how it was handled. We weren't alerted until 90 minutes after the incident (which included a large scratch on her face and a large knot on her head), and we were told a completely different story than what happened (details below). A boy in our daughter's class was upset, and as she was standing next to the teacher, he shoved her into the wall, where she hit her face on the wall and head on the ground. We know things like this can happen when you have roughly 6 new kids starting in one class at one time (with just one teacher), but the biggest issue we had was how (and when) we were alerted. We were sent a notification in the app 90 minutes after the incident took place and the message said it was a kid who bumped into her while everyone was playing and she was fine, a small scratch and a pure accident. When I arrived to the school and saw her with massive scratches on her face (which still have not fully healed and we hope don't scar) and a large knot on her head it seemed to be a bigger incident than we were told. Not only that, the incident report said it was an intentional act with the kid being upset - very different than what we were told via the message in the app. I do think this is a unique situation and likely wouldn't happen again, and I have nothing but good things to say about those who work at the front. But we were unable to look past the delay in alerting us coupled with the different story being told on what actually took place. If I were a prospective parent I would advise you ask about how many new kids are starting at once and what support that teacher would have as well as what their communication plan is when an incident takes place and the staff is on a tour.

I am amazed at how my wild son has changed and grown after just a few months here. Teachers Marcy, Chris and Laura are so dedicated to their 'herd' and really go above and beyond. I can't imagine a better stepping stone to prep my kid for kindergarten. We feel so lucky to have found this gem!

The teachers are simply the most wonderful, creative, loving people you could ever want to have teaching your child. My daughter just graduated and will miss Funny Farm immensely. I can honestly say she loved every day she spent "on the Farm". Marcy, Laura, Sarah, Heather and Kris are really great ladies who pour their hearts into making a safe, loving, creative, and very very stimulating, educational and fun environment for the kids every day. And I mean every day! My only regret is that we didn't discover Funny Farm earlier so my son could have attended as well.
