This is because of the very friendly and caring staff/teachers. They make even the parents comfortable right from day one with constant updates about the kid's activities with pictures, notes about the meal times and by promptly responding to any questions/concerns at any point of the day. The school follows just the right curriculum what we need for all ages. At these covid times, they follow the best practices, hygiene and precautions that we expected. With bright ambience in the classrooms, huge play areas and extremely caring teachers, this school just proves to be a second home for our son and his second happy place!! Very thankful to Nancy, Vinisha, Cynthia and all the teachers for making this possible. I highly recommend this school for all early learners!

In the year that they have been at Safari Kid, their progression has demonstrated positive growth in so many ways. Safari Kid has provided an excellent environment for our boys to discover the joy in learning. Their response to the play-based and socio-emotional aspects of the curriculum has been so positive. The administration and staff go above and beyond in providing a sense of safety and community, helping our kids to grow into independent, sociable, curious, playful, and confident learners. We truly feel that the teachers, administration, and staff care about the well-being and growth of our kids. As parents we are continually impressed by the new skills acquired by our children from lessons provided by Safari Kid. We are so glad we found Safari Kid!

I chose this daycare because it was the least expensive daycare I found, and it was small. She didn't watch more than three kids at a time, so I knew that my son got plenty of attention, and her daycare never got too loud or chaotic like the larger daycares I visited. My son liked coming and made friends with the other kids there. I liked her flexibility. My job sometimes had me working six days a week, sometimes only one or two days a week. Denise offered weekly and daily rates, so that I only paid for what I needed. (She offered hourly and monthly rates too, but I only paid weekly and daily.) It was also great that she was open earlier and later than most daycares, and open on the weekends too. I liked that she was willing to work with cloth diapers, fed my son the number of bottles I requested at the time intervals I requested when he was a baby, and bought the food I requested for him when he was older (he was picky). Because of the small size of the daycare and the quiet neighborhood, my son always got quality naps there. He slept better there than at home! She weaned him off the pacifier and helped with potty training too. I appreciated that she read books to him and took him out for a walk on the nearby trail everyday. She also had a small backyard my son got to play in when the weather was nice. Another thing I liked about this daycare was that Denise made a point to not let the kids watch too much TV; she only allowed up to one hour of TV per day. She helped my son learn his numbers and letters, and even taught him to read before he started kindergarten! Now his teacher says he's the best reader in his class!

The director was beyond kind as I explained I was a first time parent. She explained to me the ins-n-out of their infant classroom (6wks-1 yr) and even took the time to show me the toddler room (1-2yr), 2's, pre-school room (3yrs) and grade school rooms. I was very impressed how detailed everything was. I was also informed that there was a waiting list and she even encouraged me to tour other facilities to compare my experiences. After looking at 4 other day care centers near our home, I knew this one was it. What stood out mostly about this KinderCare was they never once asked me about money. They focused on our daughter's needs, our work schedule, and how they could accommodate. The kids that attended here seemed happier than other places I've visited. The class rooms are slightly bigger than other places I looked at (and it didn't feel like they were packed-in). Because my Daughter is just a few weeks shy of being 1, we were encouraged to visit again to see how she would do with toddlers in addition to getting to know the teachers and kids in her class. I felt confident and heard ever time I left their facility and the communication with the teachers and director have all been clear. It took some juggling but we are now attending there part-time. Today is her first day at KC. To my surprise, I received an email around noon with a picture ensuring she was fine and had a great time playing outside. I appreciated the director taking the time to ease my nerves into our first day. Upon our arrival, I noticed there were already assigned items to our daughter's name (clip board, cubicle, etc). I appreciated the organization and thoughtfulness of this facility. Hope to update soon with how things progress and if she likes being there!

Their independence and confidence has come along in leaps and bounds. Heather is a highly experienced teacher. It's clear she loves teaching and is gifted at it. As parents, we appreciate all the tidbits of knowledge she shares with us that have helped us overcome some of our parenting challenges at home. We are happier parents and have happier children. She also brings her musical talent to school (she is a professional jazz singer) and it's been wonderful to watch our children's love of music blossom as they sing the songs they've learned at school. Its…read morebeen a blessing to not only have our children attend but has given us, as parents, a valuable experience in being a part of high-performing and demanding school. I came across their location and website with a Google Map search looking for Preschools. The preschool itself makes use of a few rooms of Hillsboro Presbyterian Church. Though its not directly affiliated with the church, the school does share Christian values, by having themes during each month (ex: Respecting others, Self-control, Honesty, Patience, and Kindness). As the title of the school implies, it implements a program based on the work of Maria Montessori. The school also make use of methods based on the book Love & Logic when dealing with issues or areas of conflicts with kids. The kids typically get a lesson on an item of their choosing or something they're encouraged to work on. From there the child works on demonstrating proficiency and is on to their next piece of work. The emphasis is definitely on the child's "work". The kids start a project and can return to it each and everyday until they get it done. They learn how to respect one another, each others' space/work areas, ask for assistance when needed, and how to politely move around. Its not only about work and learning, there's time for play, outdoors in a safe play area, or a large indoor playroom for running around and burning off extra energy. They plant flowers in a garden, have a field day near the end of the year, and hold 2 concerts, 1 before Christmas break and 1 before the end of the school year. They have 1 field trip a year, when they visit a local pumpkin farm or an apple orchard during the fall. We couldn't ask for a more well-rounded preschool and more loving teachers. Heather and Kaycee really are angels to our kids. Guiding them, celebrating their achievements, and making them feel warm and welcome at all times. I will forever be thankful for having come across this school, making the choice to apply/register, and having the opportunity to get our children enrolled. God bless you, and thank you for reading our review.
