This place was very nice. Very small and intimate setting. The rolls that were served before dinner were water rolls so not a lot of flavor. We ordered the eggplant frites which were very good. For dinner we had the chicken ravioli and the chicken marsala. Everything was picture worthy, except the chicken marsala. But it was good. read more

Well I wanted my first review posted here to be a good one. it's not the case. The place is super quaint, the server was so nice & keep apologizing for things coming out late. The place isn't very big. There's only 10 table. When you order your food you get free wine, bread with olive oil. That's super cool. When we arrive & seated it was around 5:40 pm. I order an appetizer & an entree around 5:50. We already knew what we wanted. The free bread came to our table around 6:15. If you don't like Parmesan infuse olive oil that all you get, no butter. I liked it but another didn't and wanted butter & was told they couldn't get any. At 6:40 my two little pieces of bruschetta finally came out. I love bruschetta and have had several style but this style of bruschetta well for me wasn't great. And by 7:00 pm my super thinly slice & very flattened lemon chicken & my husband lasagna finally arrived. As soon as my food arrived I ask for a box & the check. I had over herd one of the server say that the owner had run two other restaurants before. I don't know what is going on. Was drawn here due to the positive reviews, but now we are realizing they're likely positive because it's in Bartow and there isn't a lot of options. Server was friendly, but was very confused about the menu and drink offerings. Told us there was a full bar but wasn't (beer and wine only), had a hard time keeping track of who ordered what (5 person table), and was flustered. My pasta wasn't very flavorful, but others really enjoyed their dishes - the chicken piccata looked really good. They forgot my meatballs I added to the pasta, but corrected it. Strong sewer smell in the restaurant, though it could be coming from the street. We almost left because it just wasn't a pleasant atmosphere. read more

The food did not taste handmade. I was there at Christmas time and gosh I raved about the fettuccine & lasagna so I took my husband for our anniversary tonight. What happened in there? The server was polite, sweet & very attentive. The food was nasty! The lasagna taste like tomato soup...so bizarre how beautiful it looked in presentation but tasted almost like metal. The fettuccine was meh, the chicken doesn't look real. I scraped the chicken off and ate the pasta. The Cesar salad tasted like Mayo with parm cheese pile up high. Anyone that's anywhere near Bartow, run, don't walk and get yourself to Tua Pasta. I had dinner at this lovely gem of a restaurant this past Thursday night. While not fussy, the atmosphere is simple but welcoming. Colorful Italian landscape paintings adorn the walls making you feel like you're in Florence or the streets of Rome. There are fresh flowers in yellow and purple on the tables. The front wall of the restaurant has windows with views out to Main Street. The staff are charming and eager to share all about the daily specials and story of the recently reopened space. Chef Blake has outdone himself. The warm focaccia brought to the table first paired perfectly with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Light and flavorful. We started with a flatbread appetizer, large enough to easily feed our party of three. It was an amazing combination of salty, sweet, and rich. It included bacon, honey, fruit, cheese (wish I could recall what kind), and the bread itself with the slightest char. I ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese. Pappardelle is a wide, flat noodle that the rich, meaty bolognese sauce clung to. The past is made in house and was cooked perfectly. Al dente with just a slight bite and not overcooked. The bolognese sauce was good, a little on the sweet side but that went well as an offset to the rich meat. My companions ordered the Linguine Fini Carbonara and the Funghi E Tartufo (mushroom ravioli) respectively. The Carbonara was rich and flavorful from the Guanciale and the Parmigiana Reggiano. Like the Pappadelle the linguini was cooked Al dente. I didn't get a chance to try the Funghi ravioli but it looked delicious with its brown butter and summer truffle sauce. We were all too full for dessert, but plan to indulge in some deconstructed tiramisu, ricotta cheesecake, or Affogoto next time. There will definitely be a next time! My husband took me here for a birthday date-night recently. The food was excellent and everything they make is homemade, including the desserts. We started with a glass of Merlot and proceeded with our delicious dinner, then they brought out tiramisu with a lit candle and played the birthday song over the speaker. It was all so wonderful. *I suggest though that they turn down the lights, as it was too bright for a nice, Italian dinner. We will definitely go again. read more

This is a great pasta spot with high quality homemade dishes. It has changed hands in executive chefs several times in its short opening history but quality continues. I understand it's owned by long-term master chef "Italo" of Lakeland, offering local exec chefs great experience at management and execution. They have a great menu with lots of variation and new dishes. I personally loved their lightly garlicky alfredo fettucini. Fantastic food! The fresh pasta was outstanding. There is a cozy ambiance, and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The portions were well-sized, and everything was delicious. Our family had the pesto fettucine with chicken, eggplant parmesan, ravioli with pear and gorgonzola cheese, and lasagna Bolognese. To top it off, we got affogatos that were out of this world. They use Lavazza Top Class espresso that provides the perfect bite to counter the sweet vanilla ice cream with caramel. So we started off with the bruschetta that has an heirloom tomato relish on it. The bread was crispy and tasty and the relish was bursting with flavor. The table water that they serve is flavored with fruits. These change depending on the day. We had one with a strawberry lemon infusion that was refreshing. I messaged chef Blake because my friend likes her pasta softer than normal and he got right back to me and told me when we came in to remind him and he would take care of it, which he did. The pasta is made fresh in house as ordered so you are never getting a dried or precooked pasta. The staff is so friendly and polite. The chef was so accommodating that he brought out a small portion for my friend to taste before serving her, her dish. Oh my God I just tried the lasagna Bolognese and it is out of this world The flavors the cheese, the meat, incredible. My friend got the pasta Bolognese and she said it's amazing. We are here for lunch but at dinner, all meals come with fresh baked in house bread. Chef Blake told us that eventually he will be adding a separate lunch menu that will offer sandwiches and other lighter dishes. All of his dishes come from authentic Italian recipes. The decor is calm and inviting and not overstated. The deconstructed tiramisu was warm and delicious. The dining experience is such an amazing evening out at Tus Pasta. Friendly staff as soon as you walk in the door. Freshly made bread while you look over the menu. We came in for a special of purchasing their entrees and getting a glass of vino for free. Our waiter Manuel was always filling our waters and checking in on us. He had great recommendations and we loved every second of our time here. We are from out of state, but we will be back, next time we come to Disney! Our first time here was amazing. We started off with the Bruschetta, which was very unique and super flavorful. The bread and salad, again, was unique and terrific. Finally we had the Lasagna and Carbonara with steak and they were both fantastic and unusual for what we are accustomed to at Italian restaurants. The ambiance was ok seemed a little cheap but it was clean and it was a little tight on space but overall ok. Last the food was below average for the cost I probably won't be returning unless there is a chef change, you're not allowed any kind of substitutions or to add any kind of protein to the pasta choices. The pasta was very bland with not much flavor to it. Overall this dinner could have been salvaged without a review if the chef didn't refuse to add chicken to a pasta. If this restaurant were a five star place in tampa or Orlando where you had to book weeks in advance but the restaurant was empty only my group and one other. Our mains were chicken parmesan, chicken piccata, short rib ravioli, and the porcini pasta. All has great flavor and portion size. The chicken parmesan were massive! Easy double meals if you wanted. Highly recommend the Ravioli de Pera! It was delicious! You could tell the bread was homemade and fresh. They served the bread with olive oil mixed with fresh herbs and garlic. My husband got the Ravioli di apollo which was good, but not near as good as the Ravioli de Pera. The service for us was very quick. We got our entrees about 10 min after we ordered them.
