I was accompanying my husband to a conference at the nearby Ritz Lake Oconee and decided Pure Vida Spa pricing was reasonable compared to unconscionable pricing at The Ritz. It was every bit as nice at Pure Vida, for a fraction of the price. Definitely worth the easy few miles drive from The Ritz to come here! To the owner of this beautiful business, I am extremely disappointed. Multiple people came and went including one walk in without an appointment. After sitting for 35 minutes with NO interaction with the staff, three of whom were chatting at the nail bar I got up and walked out. Multiple employees watched me walk out with not so much as we will be right with you or sorry we forgot you were there. Apparently business is so good that losing one customer is no major deal, though you have now lost two as my wife was planning on booking one herself after she saw your magnificent facility. We are new to the area and would have become regular customers, however best of luck keeping customers with the lackluster service!

The Was Strip is by far my favorite place and I have been to waxing places from the west coast to…read morethe east coast. The reason they are the best, they have the best facilities, all their locations are clean (my favorite is a Macon). The staff is very friendly, helpful and very discreet. As a man it can be awkward going in to a place full of women, but they make you feel comfortable. My Esthetician, was very kind and didn't make it awkward. I usually get my butt and strip waxed and they do it quick and painlessly. I don't ever have breakouts in that area. I always visit the bathroom to ensure all areas a presentable. I want to try a Manzilian but I live in ATL and it's a 90 min drive to their location. I use to visit more frequently when I traveled for work. My only wish is they had a few locations north like even McDonough. It would take me only 45 min and trust me, it's worth the drive. They have the best prices and they don't over charge me like in Atlanta. I have very little and fine hair on the areas they wax so it is faint easy and quick to wax me (a man of color). In Atlanta they automatically assume I have hair like my counterparts and over charge me. So I don't use places that do that I will wait until I visit WaxStrip and have it done. As a man I encourage everyone that has a WaxStrip near them to visit. The have licensed and certified staff. Men if you go in for service, be sure to hit the restroom to ensure all areas being waxed are presentable, that will save time and money. Also men their are only a couple folks that can wax men the manager and a lovely young lady with tattoos. I forget her name. But they both are great! So plan according Enjoy and tell them Ken the bodybuilder sent you!

I had several really great waxing experiences here over the last year, and their waxing staff is…read morereally excellent. However, I won't be going again since their front-desk staff doesn't honor appointment times. I'm not sure who was running the desk on 8/8/26, but I had made an appointment for 10:30, and at 10:45, she hadn't even acknowledged that it was past my time or that the next available person was going to see me. She just sat there on her phone. When I asked for a refund, she called her manager and then tried to lie saying I just wanted to leave.

I put it a name that I thought this one was, but ended up being a completely different business...I had the names confused. Anyway, glad I made the mistake! i wasn't disappointed at all! I walked in (didn't have an appt.) and my wait wasn't long at all, maybe 10 mins. My esthetician, Aidee, was very friendly, talkative (which I didn't mind), and inquisitive (didn't mind this either) b/c I'm pretty sure that is her tactic to make sure you're comfortable and not a weird silence while she's waxing your parts! I actually wish more would make convos so it's not so "weird". It's also very clean and smells great when you enter! Also, the pink chandelier that is in the waiting area is a whole vibe!! I need it in my life! I probably will go back again if I ever decide that I want to give them another shot and not go to my usual spot.
