Hi ARMY! You're probably flying in for the ARIRANG/BTS festivities. You picked a fun city to visit…read more Las Vegas is one of my favorite vacation spots because it's in the same time zone (PST) plus it's a short flight from Seattle. I tend to fly to Las Vegas every year because Alaska Air makes it so easy to fly out of Sea-Tac Airport. Harry Reid is a fairly large international airport. Bathrooms and walkways are pretty clean. One thing that's unique about this airport is that they have slot machines near the gates. Whenever there's a major event at Allegiant Stadium or The Strip they usually put up photo ops near baggage claim to hype people up. They have a dedicated rideshare area; you have to cross a pedestrian bridge first. I hope you packed your luggage with the right wardrobe for the weather and temps. Summer can be brutal so if you forgot to pack your sunblock or sunglasses you can visit an ABC Store or drugstore along The Strip. Terminal 3 at Harry Reid is pretty easy to navigate when flying back home. I usually wear comfortable shoes because I like to walk around before hopping on the plane.

Las Vegas International Airport: Where Your Trip Starts... and the Slots Never Sleep…read more Only in Vegas do you step off a plane and immediately hear the sweet sound of ding ding ding. No easing in--just BAM... welcome to 24/7 gambling, baby. This airport runs like a well-oiled roulette wheel. Efficient. Efficient. Efficient. Lines move, bags show up, and somehow you're from gate to curb before you can even finish checking your phone. And the lights--oh, the lights. Bright, bold, unmistakably Vegas. It's like the Strip sent a welcome party right into the terminal. But the real MVP? Slot machines everywhere. Not "a few tucked in the corner." I'm talking you could miss your flight chasing a hot streak if you're not careful. Need a quick snack? Done. Need a ride? Easy. Need to test your luck before you even hit the hotel? Already handled. There's something oddly perfect about landing in a city built on chance... and being invited to play before you even grab your luggage. Final verdict: Fast. Bright. Slightly dangerous for your wallet (in the best Vegas way). This airport doesn't just get you in and out-- it reminds you exactly where you are the second you arrive.

Security lines move decently, signage is clear, and getting in and out is usually smooth. You've got plenty of food options, decent seating, and yes, the slot machines remind you exactly where you are the second you land. It feels on brand for Vegas without being chaotic. Is it luxury travel? No. But for the volume it handles, it runs well. Overall, a good airport experience

Even though we landed in B gates, we headed straight to the lounge at the D gates after deplaning! Sadly, it is not free for VentureOne cardholders (VentureX only it seems). But, I might just open another line of credit to get complimentary lounge access because this was niceeeee. Here's what you get: 1. Complimentary grab and go snacks, including coffee tea, oat milk latte (on draft), water, salads, wraps, and snacks (with bags provided for takeaway), like banana chips, cookies, blueberry yogurt pretzels, dried fruit. It's a decent assortment and even if you only had enough time to come in and grab a quick snack, it would be good. 2. Complimentary bites, including charcuterie, pancetta mac and cheese, ratatouille short rib, tinga tacos, mushroom cassoulet, hummus, and an assortment of sweets (including donuts, cookies, and lemon poppyseed cake). 3. Complimentary alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, excluding top shelf liquor. I loved the inclusion of local Vegas businesses on the bar menu. Felt very Yelp-y and made this feel a bit cozier than I expected for a corporate credit card lounge. 4. Coffee and tea bar, including aforementioned oat milk on draft and a variety of teas. 5. An excellent place to rest and relax or focus and get work done before your flight. There's an abundance of outlets, plenty of seating space, and even a couple work stations and a quiet room you can reserve. On top of allll of this, the staff were friendly and sweet. This experience has been so wonderful I felt compelled to pen this review from the lounge as I sit here drinking my (complimentary) limoncello spritz and as I was writing it a staff member came around to bring us free champagne and chocolate to enjoy as the sun set?! Like, is this place for real? I wish I lived here. Sadly, I must leave to head back home in 20 minutes but I will recommend this place to anyone passing through Vegas.

The free bourbon selection was solid -- Uncle Nearest, Frey Ranch, and Woodford Reserve were all available, and they even had a $20 pour of vintage Jim Beam if you wanted to splurge a little. The hot food was interesting, but just okay on taste. What really stood out was the cold brew and other cold drinks on tap, plus the to-go offerings, which were awesome. I filled my bag with blueberry yogurt pretzels and trail mix, grabbed a cold brew oat milk latte to go, a warm turkey sausage breakfast sandwich, and even got a complimentary small dark chocolate. The bartender was amazing and took the time to explain the cocktails and free pours thoroughly. He also made me a water with add-in relax, which was a nice touch, and even gave me a bag to haul all my to-go items. Between the drinks, snacks, and service, it was absolutely worth the venture x annual fee.

But I also knew what I was getting myself into it. I've seen this lounge before and there's no wow factor but it does the job: a better place to wait for your flight away from crowds; if you're a drinker, you get free alcohol; power outlets that actually work. The food? Not the best. Very limited protein options. Chips, spinach artichoke dip, chicken dumpling soup (with hardly any chicken), white rice, BBQ chicken, and turkey sliders. Uncooked kale, lettuce, onions, cucumbers, edamame, croutons, salad dressing. Oatmeal raisin cookies, gummies, trail mix. And they're not properly labeled. Much later, they added truffle Mac and cheese that goes better with the BBQ chicken. The buffet area is messy. It was crowded when I went. It wasn't a relaxing lounge experience.

I normally fly either Southwest or JetBlue and usually always have a great experience at the Las Vegas Airport, which is my home Airport! The line for the normal TSA wasn't that long on a Wednesday morning in April. It looked to be approximately a 30 minute wait. She screened horizon shelf stable milk bottles which are used for a child under 4. She refused to let it pass through and didn't give a reason other than it was not allowed and proceeded to trash them. Travel was 6-7 hours of transit this day with this being the source of nourishment for liquids (and ice in a water bottle for water pass the TSA terminal). Not satisfied with this exchange, I sought out a TSA Supervisor for help. Explaining the situation and the exchange and he has asked me to point out the agent. Who during the conversation with the supervisor, proceeded to get further and further away from the examination area until she was no longer in line of site or on the floor. The supervisor offered no apology and didn't offer to correct or have the agent come to apologize. He simply stated it should have been allowed. He isn't sure why the agent didn't allow it, but once it's touched the bin we can not retrieve it. There is nothing that can be done. I asked if there is a place to give feedback and he had a stack of complaint business cards in his top left pocket, which he proceeded to hand me and follow up with I can go to the website or email it to that email address. Overall super disappointed. I had to spend more money to purchase milk on the other side of the gate because of course the child was thirsty knowing her milk bottles were thrown away. I don't understand how people in the service of customer service can not simply recognize that sometime mistakes happen because of untrained personnel. When this happens, as a manager, simply call the employee over and inform them of the accident or misconduct and offer a simply apology. It goes a long way and the training effort if the supervisor had done this, would save more grief for families going forward with this agent knowing the TSA rules and regulations better.
