TSA Checkpoint at Terminal 3 is one of the quickest TSA Pre that I've gone through. When I fly out to JFK, NYC through JetBlue, the terminal for Departure and Arrival is Terminal 3. Terminal 1 at the Las Vegas Airport is the larger terminal, but Terminal 3 is great too! The TSA Checkpoint for TSA pre is great! It's right before the normal TSA Checkpoint. It's usually smooth and seamless process to go through the TSA Pre Check. The TSA Pre at Terminal 3 is little smaller than Terminal 1, but there is normally a short line! I don't wait longer than 10 to 15 minutes to go through TSA Pre. Leaving for flights from Vegas to JFK, I only arrive an hour before my flight. This allows me enough time to go through TSA Pre and to pick up something to eat prior to boarding for the flight! read more

Man I feel like the airport keeps getting bigger yet there is no relief for wait times and cause. The terminal 3 checkpoint is one of the better ones but I remember when there was virtually no line and you were able to get right to your gate. What's to complain about? TSA Check Point 3! Is awesome. No line too short for FRANK cause I'm allowed to cut the line with my CLEAR credentials. I'd say less than 5 minister to make it through. As someone who doesnt pay extra for special treatment like most of these 5star reviews, TSA doesnt live up to expectations. Long slow lines, disorganized, dour faced. Just the simplest things are beyond them. Instead of having simple reader boards or tv screens describing what the 'requirements of the day' are, we rely on agents randomly shouting out instructions. Like are we taking off shoes this week? Do laptops need to come out? You know, simple stuff. But no. Instead we get videos of an incompetent Homeland Security secretary spewing unhelpful bs. Long line of travelers, but fast service. I had a 7:30am flight with Air Canada and arrived at the airport at 5:30am. Checked my bag at the counter, then waited in line for TSA precheck. I was at my gate within 30 minutes, at 6am!! I wish I had gotten TSA precheck sooner. It made the process so easy, even while traveling to Canada! read more

Work or pleasure...a day or a week so many pass through LAS is quite insane it doesn't matter what time of day there is always a steady flow of travelers passing though here at the TSA Checkpoint. The staff here are professional but nice, I just try to be mindful and remember the rules sometimes we do forget that even our Cookie Butter and toothpaste does matter in size and over 3oz is too big and must be checked in though when I'm returning home I do tend to have too many items that didn't fit and I don't realize like my bath salts lol! It scanned an alert as a "natural" item...sigh! It all went well and a thorough check and I was on my way, my feet still hurts and should've made time for self care so that I would have a speedy trip through and get on my way. I experienced something very interesting on my last trip from Las Vegas to Honolulu . Departing on Hawaiian Airlines terminal 3 Harry Reid airport Once checked at Hawaiian Airlines counter the TSA check point is nearby. This time I was informed to go downstairs to another TSA checkpoint it's an innovation type of scanner machine . It's supposedly faster for the customer and better for the TSA agent . This is a new format because I was in Vegas in October and I didn't experience going downstairs. This new machine is automated to pass the empty buss tubs into the machine and it will come out for the next customer to use . All the x-ray machine before hands up now the new machine hands down . The lines are still long so this new machine doesn't help that much . I understand safety first read more

Thank for the fantastic service that you do. It is a really difficult trip for me and a wonderful tsa women checked my bag. She was kind, solumn, and could tell I knew she had to check my fathers remains that i had separated from my backpack. I told her the certificate was in the bag she said that wasn't necessary. Nor was it necessary for her to open the box. She used some Indicator chemicals on the outside of the box to confirm what it was and said im sorry for your loss. read more

Pleasant greetings and smiles at the first kiosk. Smooth sailing to the bag screening. Smooth sailing for the most part. Vigilance in the TSA Pre as my cribbage put my bag in the penalty box. Kiddos to the agent who discovered this and called it out. Stars lost as the secondary screener for wayward bags of suspicion was entirely absent. After a long wait and multiple calls for an assist the guy who screened the bag ended up being the next one up after a break rotation. Not the end of the world, at the same time a clear breach of what should be a relatively seamless process. read more

I bought Clear airport pass for myself and my spouse. We had a 11:00 PM flight from Las Vegas to Newark. When we got to the TSA pre-check I found out that Clear closed at 8:00 PM. What is the point of buying Clear?! read more

The security line was short and the travelers were compliant yet the TSA worker still screamed at us and those around us in an apparent show of power over us because she could. I found a valuable item at the gate left behind from a flight that departed before ours. I tried to turn it in to four TSA workers for the T3 Lost and Found office. The TSA workers each refused to accept it and told me to give it to someone else or leave it where I found it, so someone else could take it to Lost and Found. read more

Extremely friendly lady checked our tickets and even had a meaningful conversation about my Tillamook shirt that I had on. She makes her job fun and it shows. I know these folks have to put up with all kinds of attitudes/ personalities all day and her attitude about the whole work environment was the best. The main and I believe the only entry point for terminal 3. During the day it is packed and the line can snake around the columns at least 3-4 times. Prior to having pre check and flying during the day on Hawaiian airlines, I was stuck in that line. It was awful but the TSA agents do their best to keep the line moving. It's the passengers that actually make things take forever. It's like these people's first time flying and have no idea of how to navigate through TSA. Luckily now I have TSA pre check and typically fly back home on the red eye. During the late evening, lines are not long at all and pre check is even shorter. However, pre check does close before midnight. So get there early! read more

The terminal 3 process at the Las Vegas airport wasn't that bad, the lady inspector will ask you to throw away your waters which is totally follow the protocol. The problem is the TSA pre check Asian man who worked over there were very incompetent. When I explained to him I had pre check, but it didn't show on the ticket. He didn't understand the procedure and insisted to ask me to go to the other lanes to check my bag. His indecisive actions, causes delay for many people behind me. I guess the terminal three area does need a lot of training, and the supervisor need to glooming their employees. Later, when I tried to find him and tried to provide my reasoning , he disappeared. It seemed like the other guy replace him when I went through the process. read more

Not all, but there was a rude worker who felt entitled to have an attitude. all because I asked if he could check the lost and found. He proceeded to slowly check for my phone (which was not there). He then tried to give me a phone number for lost and found. Mind you, i DONT have a phone. I then tried to ask if I could go back out by the check-in area and he cut me off because he said to CALL lost and found ‍. Overworked and understaffed. This can not be good for security. I get the feeling they are often working understaffed here. When you fly a lot you have to wonder about these airports that seem to always have huge bottlenecks especially because this airport also regularly shutdown one of the TSA recheck lines and then sends people to another terminal inorder to use the precheck. Lots of other airports run a smoother transition. Hopefully vegas will seek out others to gain insight and better the customer experience here too. I think we all can agree it would be safer too to have more staff helping when its busy. read more

He literally had a long line of passengers waiting to retrieve their items..he was to busy fraternizing with the customers ahead of us...versus making them discard the items that weren't allowed. A small, almost hidden checkpoint, however the TSA Officers are all in for "laisser les bon temps rouler," letting the good times roll! Very friendly and almost comical! Win or lose in Las Vegas, you get through fast and there are plenty of seating you can gather up your stuff before heading out. Someone should remind the TSA "clerks" that their job is to make sure nothing prohibited goes through, not to treat passengers like cattle. This morning, at 4:30am, at TSApre, terminal 3, was that fat dark haired woman who was rude to a family member from Japan who did not speak English and was slightly handicapped making him slow to walk. She rudely asked him to rush which made him stopped thinking there was a problem. She was also annoyed by the fact that he was waving good bye at us, making comments to the gray haired guy who was with her who in turn made mocking waving gesture. There was no reason to rush him since there was no other passengers behind waiting to go through the checkpoint. I love TSA Pre Check. I was in and out in 3 minutes. The process is smooth and refined. The TSA agents are always friendly as most who use Pre Check are seasoned travelers and don't make the usual mistakes of the casual traveler. There is no need to drag this review on so if you don't have Pre Check and travel 3-4 times a year or more then you need to get it. Trust me you will never want to go back to being that casual traveler in the regular lines. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I'm trying to put my things into the tray as we were running late-nearly missing our flight. I accidentally put my bag in a tray as I was in a hurry. The TSA agent talked to me with an attitude, telling me to take my bag out of there. Where is the customer service?
