7/16/23 Star Therapy…read moreMassage has had its star masseuse Jessica working here for a little over a year.   Jessica instantly remembered me the moment I walked through the door. Jessica remind me of someone body that I used to know. I even thought she was someone else, but was later informed she is not the same Jessica I was thinking of. Still, Jessica look very close to the woman in the red dress featured in the picture I took with the new prices for massage. Today, I was shown into the Autumn Room and it looked nice. It is very spacious with two massage chair/couches.  In the center is the massage table.  The Massage table wasn't  heated from what I saw. It is also Summer time and the heat wasn't needed for the massage table if there is one. I noticed the large window is heavily layered to keep out the sunlight.    The Massage: Covering the body is not necessarily a requirement, but can be done if you are not comfortable with being exposed...so to speak. Jessica asked me what kind of pressure I wanted and I went with medium pressure.   Lotion, oil or neither are your choices.   I went with the oil, but I think next time I will go without oil and lotion.   Ashiatsu (backpack massage) is an option, but Jessica didn't incorporate this option into my massage.  Jessica used her forearms  for my back , glutes, but I preferred her hands to Jessica's forearms.  Jessica massaged my legs and feet.    Jessica continued her massage checking to see if I wanted her to pressure to be harder or softer.   I am glad to say Jessica wasn't interrupted  with phone calls or someone else ringing the doorbell.  There is also no time clock is in the room, but there is a clock in the room.  Check your time before the massage starts. Hot towels supplied inside a heat box were applied to my body to remove the excess oil on by body.   Flipping over onto my back Jessica again asked if I wanted oil, lotion or nothing.  I went with oil and Jessica began her work. The stomach massage and chest massage were great.  Yet, the foot massage nearly put me to sleep.  The soft massage is another trick that can put someone to sleep.  It did not happen with me, because I wanted to be awake for the massage. Not fall asleep through it.  Jessica did the hot towel thing again before ending the massage.  Upon standing up, I felt some pain in my back. Jessica was able to massage my back again and removed the tight muscles in my lower back. I truly appreciate this Jessica.   I will definitely return here for another session.   I found it humorous an ironic that we were both wearing red and black outfits on this particular day.   What are the odds of this happening?

The massage therapist knew exactly what he was doing and it was clear he is experienced with the intricacies of pregnancy. You obviously cannot lay how you may typically lay for a massage but laying on your side may be even better lol. The space is very clean and welcoming. The music playing during the massage is also very calming and relaxing. There was also no timer going off at the end which can be a bit jarring. I really enjoyed my experience here and will check them out for other massage packages.

11/28/23 *Part 3 Of 3*…read moreAFTER THE MASSAGE: After the show it's the after party,  Yet I never made it that far.  Then after the party it's the hotel lobby, But I have a  Yelp report to write, so shi... Oh, enough of the fun and games.  Tina  did a fantastic job for a newbie at QI Massage  in the business center of K&H Massage   There are a few problems that I will have to address, but they have nothing to do with Tina's massage performance or massage techniques.   1.  I did notice that during my massage, the music selections were of one song played over and over again.  I would have preferred no music be played in this case.  When I return here, I will request this. 2. I  happened to use the sheet that would normally cover my fatass, and used it to cover the table.  I did not see Tina complete the changing of the sheets, but I do hope she did this.   I am NOT saying she DIDN'T, I am just say it looked like straightening the sheets was all she did.  Also, Tina's English is still in the beginninger's stage, but she is working hard on improving her Grammer and English Language skills.  Please be patient on this...she is trying. 3.  I do recommend  K&H Massage do get a credit card machine up and running.   Walking back and forth between the two businesses can get annoying for some clientele.  Aside from those three things I noticed, my experiences with K&H Massage aka QI Massage. Lights off. No staff. Nothing. Their sign said Sunday "By Appointment Only," yet apparently even when you have an appointment, no one shows up. I called their Bethesda location, and the first receptionist claimed we weren't in the system--even though I booked on Wednesday at 2:22 PM (I checked my call log and took a screenshot). Someone took all of my details including my credit card, but somehow my appointment "didn't exist." Then the owner got on the phone and said she actually could see me in their system but didn't know what happened. She blamed a software switch on Tuesday... but I booked on Wednesday. So that excuse made no sense. Her only solution was to ask if we could come tomorrow. No, we actually can't--because unlike her business, we plan ahead. I took the weekend off from my real estate schedule to celebrate. We booked a hotel in Tysons, hired a dog sitter, and made a whole day of this. And it was completely wasted. What really stunned me was the total lack of care. No apology that felt meaningful. No attempt to make it right. No offer of a complimentary service. Nothing. I'm a business owner myself, and I would never handle a mistake like this this way. Our anniversary plans were basically ruined because this spa didn't bother to honor our confirmed appointment--or provide any real remedy afterward. Don't waste your time or money here. If they can't handle a simple booking, I wouldn't trust them with anything else either.

I have known about some massage places around the Tyson's Corner area, but haven't ventured over to…read morethem. Today I decided to check out two places and B&M Therapy just happens to be the second of the two. Upon looking up B&M Therapy, I discovered this place on the Yelp and Google Websites  offers very little information on the place.  Infact, the only way you might get information is by sending a message to them with the off chance someone will get back to you.  Asking questions on the phone might work, or might not.  I have had the misfortune of talking to massage employees who got testy when having to answer questions.   I find it easier with face to face meetings. Today I spoke with a woman who appeared to be management had indifferent feel about her. For this reason alone, I think of her as Ms. Indifferent. The cost of doing business is as follows: 1. 30 mins=$60 2.1hr=$80 3.90mins=$130 4. 2hrs=$150. 5?. I am guessing 4 Hands would be $160 for one hour.  According to this business, your photo ID will need to match your credit card name.  If they take your ID, it might get copied.   I have not seen this for some time, but it looks like I found a place that still practices this type of "security." Your other option, pay in cash money and you'll be just fine, 96% of the time. Ms. Indifferent, did not care one way or the other about me getting a massage today or not.  She did have this look on her face like I looked familiar to her.  Maybe my reputation  precedes me; however,  some might say don't flatter yourself.  Guess I must be nonchalant about this situation. This business is located  A little was past the Tesla Car Dealership on Tycos Road Virginia. There are a bunch of warehouse buildings where B&M Therapy is located  on the backside.   It's next to The Crossfit Tyson's Corner Gym. The place looks better in the dark with the lights on. If you enter this humble abode, please ring the door bell and someone answer the door in time.  The chairs are around the corner, but I never saw them, because the second door was opened almost immediately.   There is candy should you wish to munch on something. When I come here for a massage, I hope to learn if table shower and body scrub is included in the service. If not, I would like to know the added cost of getting this done of there is a table shower. For now, I will give this review on B&M Therapy a 3 Star.  Oh yeah, types of massage are:  Swedish,  Deep Tissue,  Thai Massage,  Hot Stone Massage, Shiatsu,  Ashiatsu  or Custom Massage.

11/18/23 Upon…read moregetting a massage at K&H Massage, I had to make the payment inside QI Massage Therapy.  So to me, I got my massage with this company as well, but not physically in the QI Massage area...or did I? When walking into the business office, I heard a number of people talking from a closed room, but I didn't get a chance to look around.  I do wonder if this place offers Ashiatsu Massage too? The area had light painted walls, but still not enough natural light was shining through the windows.    To me, the ambience felt a little cold.   This could change when I actually get a massage in private room at QI Massage. I know I will be back here to try this place out in its actual location next time.   I also hope to get the prices of this location, because I forget to get a photo of them.   Online, the prices seem too step.    Their orginal location was in Reston. I believe I have visited this place too, but this was years ago. I want an updated photo for viewers to see of the prices. I will have  more deeper review on QI Massage the next time I am here.

She didn't hesitate to get up on the table in order to fully work the areas she correctly figured needed the most attention. She was also pleasant to speak to when she was able to during the session. *Part 2 Of 2* 9/22/23…read moreTHE MASSAGE: Since massage is best when nude, this is exactly what I did.  I lay on top of the new sheeting, because  was suspicious about the sheeting underneath the new sheet  laid out. It might have been clean, but I didn't take that chance.  I also do not stick my face in the massge holes.  This is a very good way to get sick.  I think so anyways. Kathryn waited about 4 minutes before knocking on the door before entering.   I wasn't concerned about draping and apparently neither was  Kathryn.   Kathryn started on my neck with a great amount of pressure. She continued this by working on my arms, hands and back.  What really impressed me was the Thai Stretching Kathryn incorporated into my massage.    Kathryn continued with the preliminary massage by stretching the glutes maximus, legs and feet.  When I say stretching, I mean stretching.   It is not for the weak of heart.  When Kathryn was done with the preliminaries, she started back at my neck and shoulders, but with massage oil.  The Massage oil is unscented so have no fear ladies and gentleman.  The massage pressure Kathryn applied to my skin was steady and consistent.    Kathryn continued massaging my arms, neck, back, glutes maximus, legs and feet.    Ordinarily I prefer to have me feet massaged last, but I didn't let Kathryn know this at the time. I will do so the next time I am here with whoever the staff member...no,...massage therapist.     Massaging feet is not always done at massage palors.  Same can be said for face and head massage. This doesn't seem the case for Massage Joy:) The feet, legs and glutes maximus massage were the best part of the massage for me.  Whether on my stomach or back, Kathryn spend more time on those areas because I asked her too.    If there was any tension in the gluteus maximus, legs or feet, Kathryn eliminated this problem. Kathryn finished how she started the massage.  Kathryn did the Thai Stretching again and finished with the massage slaps I have experienced at so many other massage palors. If there is a more professional name for these massage slaps, I can think of it right now.  I don't feel like looking it up right now either. AFTER THE MASSAGE: Kathryn used a hot towel to remove some of...,  no,...a lot of the oil that was applied to my body.  I like to keep some oil on my body, but this time a little to much oil was used. Nevertheless, I think Kathryn (who might be the manager/owner of this establishment) did a fantastic job.  I do feel cleaning the oil off the walls might...will help improve the look of the business.   This is just one room I saw, but it left an impression on me. The bathroom looked neat and orderly; as well, as smelling "so fresh and clean, clean." From what I saw of the layout of the business, the employee hang out spot is straight down the hall from the front desk.  There are 4 massage rooms and the bathroom is on the left hand side past the first massage room on the right. In case I didn't say it,  Massage Joy is located on the second floor in building 241.  Very close to Sugar Spa.  A two minute walk away...if that long. I know I will try this place out at least two more times.  I love Thai Massage incorporated with the Swedish/Deep Tissue Massage. Especially without the loose clothing at is normally associated with it.  I give this place a 4 star review.  It would have been 5 stars, but the was an eyesore.
