The home inspection that Xavier did was phenomenal. He's very professional very respectful, but…read moremost importantly he was very informative when it came to our home inspection. The service he provided was outstanding and most importantly I had a lot of confidence in his abilities to perform the job that was needed to give me and my wife the peace of mind, knowing that the house met the quality and the code requirements. Xavier performed another home inspection on a previous Home that we were looking to buy, and based off the information we received from that inspection we were able to walk away from it, knowing that we made the right choice and went with the house that we have now. I recommend Xavier and Sunhouse inspections to anybody who wants a professional honest opinion and is looking for someone to do the job, right. The price we paid was pennies compared to the mistake that could've been done. Great price, professionalism, respect, kindness, and courteous is what a team is built on and Sunhouse inspections does that.

She reached out to Rod for the introduction and I promptly received a call from Rod. Rod was very accommodating to our timeframe and completed the inspection the same day. I really appreciate the prompt and professional service and would definitely recommend his services.

I purchased a new build in Casa Grande at Ghost Hollow Estates from LGI Homes. I just knew the…read moretrack history of new builds in general (doesn't matter the builder you choose) - a buyer of a new build will lead you down a road of your typical shoddy workmanship and poor quality control or oversight by the superintendent - it just happens. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, hire a home inspector to go through any home you purchase (it a huge investment you are making). Please do not skimp on hiring a home inspector!!! As a result of the above, I hired "At Down to Earth Inspections, LLC" - owner Rod called the builder's superintendent to schedule the appt for his inspection. The superintendent knew ahead of time what day and time the appt was - so that everyone knew what time he'd be there and when we'd be there. We opted to let Rod do his job and inspect the home so we were not distracting him from performing the inspection; as a result, we'd arrived later. He took approx. 150 photos (a typical new build inspection he'd normally take 45 pics) and he spent 3.5 hours (maybe more) at the property (normally would be done a lot sooner). My new build was honestly a mess (cosmetically). He completed his inspection and he had the report back to us within 24 hours (the next morning). It was imperative we get his report quickly so that we could give that to the builder because we were closing in 48 hours. There were so many cosmetic issues found by Rod; I just knew we would not close as expected. I'm sure glad I hired him in the first place - knowing what I know about new builds. Just because you are buying a new build, do not think that Labor & Trades subcontractors walk into your home "loving it" as much as you do and they normally don't taking pride in their workmanship, sad to say that, but this is my 2nd new build and I've had friends buy new builds so this has been in my opinion the "norm". Well, the norm for me may not be the norm for you; however, when making a large investment, you better believe me nobody but me cares about my investment (nobody will because it is not their investment - it's pretty simple). Now back to Rod's review - he performed a thorough home inspection and provided us with an honest and accurate report (like I stated above). This is Rod's passion! He kept our inspection professional yet simple; he made it easy to understand the condition of our home. He found things I'd never know to look for and he revealed probably $30,000 in shoddy workmanship which would have been passed onto me (the consumer) to have to clean up what they should have done to begin with!! Rod's knowledge of home services industry is extensive - he's been a home builder, flipped homes lovingly (by paying attention to detail), he actually cares about your home he's inspecting. He offered me a Military Discount rate as I am in the US Navy. If you are purchasing a resale home - hire Rod - ultimately you want to buy someone's house, but you don't want to buy someone's problems. Or if you do, at least you "want" to know about those problems - it so that you can make an informed decision on what you can "live" with. Good Luck with your choice on selecting a home inspector, but my bet is you'll hire Rod because he's family, he treated me like family, and he's the uncle I never had. Rod = Professional, competent, knowledgeable, trust-worthy (all characteristics I do not recommend lightly) Thank you for reading my review to the end! :-)

We were referred to Michael Weinberg who owns and operates Exceptional Engineering Home Inspections…read moreby our realtor, Patrick Halpine of Keller Williams. My wife and I are in the middle of purchasing our first home here in Arizona. It is such a huge investment (and enormous purchase) that skimping on the inspection was non-negotiable. Mike met us promptly at our property this weekend which meant he made a special exception just for us. Obviously, he went above and beyond just by booking the appointment. That alone spoke volumes. He did not need to do this, but am so thankful he accommodated us! Saying that Mike was thorough does not even begin to explain the kind of inspection he did on our future home. He diligently went through every square inch of the house making notes and taking photos of any future issues we may have. He went well above and beyond spending upwards of almost two hours at the property with us. He made sure all of our questions and concerns were answered. He did everything possible to make sure we felt comfortable with everything he was doing and he even went so far as to make sure he was telling us what he was looking for in each room. He went into the attic in the summertime in Arizona - if that doesn't give you an idea of the kind of business that Mike operates, I'm not sure what will. My wife and I are so pleased that he was referred to us by our realtor. I am thankful he had our best interests in mind and would absolutely beyond a shadow of any doubt recommend him to any family, friend, neighbor or co-worker. Thanks so much for being so thorough, MIke and explaining everything to us this morning!

When we returned to check on the house a few days later, I almost called the police because I thought our house had been broken into and ransacked. Then we realized that the mess left was from Nick Petersen and his "home inspection". He must have had oil or grease on his shoes and hands that he tracked all over my house floors, in the showers, tubs, and sinks. He left the roof access doors open and insulation blew all over the house. He left panels that he opened unscrewed. When we called to ask Petersen what happened, his response was he did his job and it's not his job too clean up after himself. Then he told us he had to get back to work and hung up on us. It may not be your job to "clean a house" but it's definitely not your job to ransack and ruin a houses!
