He is a true artist who can bring your property alive with deep understanding of the natural environment and how to enhance its beauty. He really listened to what I wanted to create. Every person who steps foot on our property comments on the natural flow of the landscape and how it blends into the structure of the house, the lake, the beach. He has a responsible and hardworking staff who work with him to complete the job in a timely way. The cost is totally reasonable for the product as I have checked on this before starting to work with Serenity. His work with stone, rock, bushes, flowers, trees all blend to create a low maintenance approach that is sensitive to the native species that populate our Norther Michigan ecosystem. I am grateful for his attention to all the details that create such a flowing canvas on which we walk and live.

We have worked with Michael Dargis of Serenity Landscaping over the past three years and cannot…read morerecommend him highly enough. In 2022-2023, Mike helped us develop and execute a landscape plan for the sloped roundabout leading up to our home. He listened carefully to our ideas, translated them into a beautiful and cohesive design, and recommended a local nursery that made plant selection completely turnkey. Mike and his crew were professional, stayed on budget, and executed the plan exactly as promised. We were thrilled with the results. In Fall 2025, we worked with Mike again--this time to implement a landscape plan created by a local architect for the area immediately around our home, along with reworking several very challenging sections of the property. Our site has multiple levels and required additional excavation and irrigation coordination. Mike expertly facilitated the process by introducing and coordinating with a local excavation company and irrigation installer. While the project took a bit longer and went slightly over budget due to unforeseen conditions once the ground was opened, the final result was absolutely stunning. We couldn't be happier. Mike is deeply passionate and exceptionally talented at his craft--one of his crew members affectionately referred to him as "the stone whisperer," which says it all. He also takes great care of our property with spring and fall cleanups, and if any issues arise, he is quick to respond and make things right (including repairing an irrigation line accidentally cut by the cable company). Serenity Landscaping delivers thoughtful design, excellent execution, and outstanding long-term care. We wholeheartedly recommend Mike and his team.
