As strip clubs go, this is one of them. My friends and I have pretty much settled on Trumpps as being the best bet strip club in the city. It's got a $10 cover, which is half as much as Penthouse (which I hear is awesome, but I'm not balla enough to afford it). Booths are an extra cost, but it doesn't cost anything to sit by the stage, and it's more fun there anyway. It's almost sad that my friends and I come here enough that some of the staff knows us by name. That's probably not a good thing, but it makes you feel like some sort of scummy Al Pacino character when you walk in and are greeted by name, which is cool. You can even go right upstairs to the VIP bar if you're there just for the private dancing. Drinks are super expensive (beers usually around $5-$6) and mixed drinks are on the $9 mark. Dances are usually about $25/song, which is pretty average, and most of the girls are good at what they do. In fact, a lot of the girls work at Penthouse as well, and it's cheaper for a dance at Trumpps. The private dance area is upstairs lined with booths. For a little extra they can close the curtain on the booth. BE WARNED - Bring cash with you because the ATM has a $20 surcharge. Robbery! They have specials almost every day of the week. My friends and I can only seem to get our schedules to sync up on Tuesdays to go. $5 Long Islands and "Foxy" Boxing. I put Foxy in quotes because it's not that sexy, it's just some pumped up women whaling on each other for 15 minutes. I think Mondays have $3 domestics which is cool. I believe Sundays are KY Jelly wrestling. Classy. As I have said before, (and as I'm pretty sure it is with most clubs) you're never sure what kind of entertainment you're going to get. Sometimes the women are amazing, other times not so much. Here's another tip - sit at the south end of the bar. That's where the tops come off. If you've got money to blow, but still want to be "thrifty", check out Trumpps for a good night out. Just prepare for the lighter wallet and the feeling of regret the next day. read more

Wow what a short experience... If you want to waste money this is your time place. I rarely leave reviews but maybe there is some hope to save someone. I have no issue paying reasonable prices and tipping the girls; that's why I'm here. But this place, ridiculous. $8 parking, 20 each to get in, $8! For water, $13-25 a drink. We got a round and we were out. Waste of money in my opinion. As someone who has been directly involved in this business, this isn't how you do it... That why the place wasn't packed on a Sat. One star is over rated for this place. Dancers are very young and not experienced they have no clue how to keep a very generous customer who spends alot of money or give a customer incentive to come back. It's a topless Club the Dancers are not topless here. So it appears the manager to the owner is not keeping things managed well the Dancers just walk around one pole. That's not entertainment. Assaulted by the security, be careful when coming to this club.I was told to pay a hundred dollars to the bouncer , I explained that I had just opened a tab for my team and the place was dead. He picked up my drink, and moved it to a diff table, I went to go grab it and he assaulted me, he grabbed me and passed me out, I attempt to put the My glasses are ruined, I can't see, and if my teamed had not been there they would have beat me. LOTS OF HIDDEN FEES!!! Coming here was a MISTAKE!! A WASTE OF TIME AND NOT WORTH IT!! BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!! I always thought this place would be nice to visit because of it's appearance and the parking lot appears to look full but it's really NOT WHAT IT SEEMS AND TOO EXPENSIVE!! $8 dollar valet parking required. If you don't pay valet up front they have to hold your car keys. They also take your coat at the door because it can't be on you although they have already checked you for weapons. $20 to get in the door. You also have to purchase a drink every hour despite if your throwing money or not. The parking lot will fool you because there are little to no people inside compared to the parking lot AND I CAN SEE WHY!! Mostly LITTLE BOOTY WOMEN AND NOT MANY OPTIONS THANKS DANCE. The bouncer is rude and the dancers don't really seem like they are into dancing they actually look like they are not enjoying them selves. NEVER COMING BACK. Visited Trumpp with my friends, Saturday. Place was dead. No dancers. Wait staff (Jan) service was deplorable. Haas the manager and staff overcharged multiple times. When we told Haas about the error, he corrected the issue and imposed 30% mandatory gratuity. Watch out guys. The crew is very aggressive and disrespectful. Plenty of other honest places to spend hard earned money in. Staff does not wear mask. Its worn as a scarf. read more

I'm really not impressed with this club. With the exception of valet parking ($7) everything about this club is more expensive than your average strip club in Detroit. $15 cover charge. Drinks were 15 - 20% more than what I would pay in most strip clubs and almost triple what one would pay in a regular bar. In spite of that, everything about the club was average to below-average. There was only one average looking "dancer" on stage at any given time and her "routine" usually consisted of basically standing there. Occasionally, one of them would attempt to twerk but that was it. No poll tricks. Nothing special nor original. The staff (both clothed and not) really seemed like they were just going through the motions. The interior consists of white furniture and mirrors on all of the walls, giving the place a 1980s feel. Not a huge fan, but it wouldn't be so bad if the rest of the club was better. Bottom line, you can either get a better club experience elsewhere for the same price or you can get a similar experience for a lot less elsewhere. Either way, the end result is the same. This place was the hot spot, about 20 years ago. It's worn down and so are the women. The rooms aren't as secluded and private as other clubs and the women are on the gritty side. The bar upstairs is a fail because it is too far away from the railing to watch the women on the stages. The drinks are moderately priced, but for a good time there are better places to go. I'm not a fan of foxy-boxing, but if you are- they have it on Tuesdays I think. The women who box are not the dancers, they are women brought in to fight. They may get a few dancers drunk enough to fight, but its mostly women who look like they're professionals. read more

Went here at the tail end of a long bachelor party event because hey, it's pretty much something you have to do. I had an okay time but I think strip clubs just aren't my scene. While I can appreciate the campy, raunchy fun available here I simply don't think the money spent is worth the services rendered. I'll be frank: I just don't receive the value out of the cost of these places. My entertainment dollar is better spent pretty much anywhere. It's all well and good to have a frivolous good time but ordering a bucket of beers for $30 really brings my good time down to Earth. But I was the groom so it wasn't on my dime. Still, I cringed every time my best man paid for alcohol. So I guess for me the experience was probably a two-star one but I'd say that Trumps is a fair to nice strip club. I can't judge it all that well because it was a Saturday so I wasn't exactly seeing the B squad and I was already drunk before I got there but it seemed to me to be as good as any other strip club I've gone to in the past. I'd say it could be a good time if you honestly could say "budget be damned" and just throw a ton of money away on a night of paid flirtation. For other bachelors out there, here's a game I invented while at our table at Trumps: It's called Cheap Seats. As the bachelor, dancers will come and sit in your lap to try and chat you up so you'll buy a dance or buy them drinks or other ways for you to pay for their company. Therein lies the game. The clock starts the second she sits on your lap. Once she's comfortable it is your goal to see how long she'll sit on your lap without anyone at the table paying her a dime. Today's my experience was worst with it. They issued a token number in collecting of my jacket but they given my jacket to someone else. Well, I am a fan of strip clubs when I am not in a serious relationship. So, with that being said I really like Trumps. I like the ladies that work here. They seem friendly and not Pushy. It is really bad when the dancers ask you for a dance then get mad when you tell them not now, maybe later or just no thank you. 1. If I owned a gogo-bar/strip club I would post the rules for the dancers in the change room. The first rule would be "Do Not Steel from the club or the patrons" That is an easy rule to follow. 2. Know your limits etc... 3. Know your patronsand their limits, likes and dislikes. 4. Avoid problem childs and patrons. 5. Be honest when ever you can... 6. I had a great time at Trumpps. I make frequent trips to many of the strip bars on 8 mile. Cover was cheap and the food was great. The club has a laid back feel to it and the staff there treated me and my friends like we were regulars. I would recommend this gentleman's club to all of my friends. read more

Quality over quantity! Food is fantastic. Drinks are on par price wise. Waitstaff is beautiful. Dancers are 7s and up. Not like the other overpriced clubs in town. 50 girls and 3 good ones. 47 pigs. Went here tonight....not impressed! I came here 3 years ago where women were always coming up to the table talking to us AND great dancers in climbing the pole. Not as many girls now. Felt unwanted. basically. NON came up tot he table for a dance or even just to talk! There was a party and it seemed like they took all the thunder and women from everyone else. Only one girl knew how to climb the pole now. BASICALLY BOTH MY BOYFRIEND AND I WERE BORED OUT OF OUR MINDS. Going to look into other strip bars to have more fun and attention. Only thing positive is that we did not give much money away since the dancers sucked at giving a great show! Note to owners-pay for dancers to know a thing or two about climbing the pole. Tried this place for awhile. Was fun enough. Good drinks with fair prices. Kickin sound system. Lots of dancers. Wondering if this place requires "A" cups for dancers as none seemed to have a "chest". Dancers were pretty just really flat for what I'd expect from this type of club.
