Fluffy bread and a pleasant crust, this pizza parlor introduced me to some of the better pizzas during my stay. I got the Meat Lovers and the Big Mack to try. The Meat Lovers is what you expect, just a good amount of meat to pair with the large amount of dough and cheese. It's a bit oily and heavy, so the Big Mack was actually my favorite due to the lighter nature and the accurate taste compraison to an actual Big Mac. Beer was also great. I've been getting into beer lately and wanted to try some Michigan-brewed beer and the options as well as the taste did not disappoint. Service was good. I let them know that I wasn't from Michigan and it was my first week there and they gave me a good run-down of the menu. Their recommendations were solid and they leave us unattended for too long. I wish there was a bit more table space at the communal tables, but there's only so much you can do with the size of the restaurant.

For a starter, the cashew Caesar salad ($8) was ordered. It came with mixed greens, house-made cashew Caesar dressing, fried shallots, and vegan parmesan. This was very tasty. It was unique with the fried shallot addition. The dressing was just enough. It all appeared very fresh and crisp. The cheese had somewhat of an odd texture, but not a big deal. For a meal, the lobster roll pizza ($45) was ordered. This was so unique that it had to be tried. It came with 6 oz. wild caught lobster, herb crème fraiche, celery and onion brunoise, Cape Cod chips, and chives with drawn butter and lemon. This was very rich, so the addition of the lemon juice and crunchy chips really helped offset that. It was also heavy due to the components incorporated. The lobster appeared fresh and there was plenty of it. The butter was not even needed, but solid for a slight dip. The crème fraiche was solid and different. The crust was crispy and great too. Will I go back? I would, yeah.

We got 5 courses starting with appetizers, followed by pasta (which I forgot to get photos of), then sides, entrees and dessert. Plus a little aperitif to start the meal off. Zero complaints about any of the dishes. My favorite dish was probably the artichokes and the steak. So delicious! The atmosphere at the restaurant was very fun and modern. And our server was very knowledgeable and helpful when we had questions about the dishes. If you want an even more elevated experience, they have a sommelier that will come to your table and assist with picking wine to pair with your meal.

We were promptly seated and greeted my our waitress, Mary. She was very attentive and knows the menu. She explained every dish and made excellent recommendations. We all started out with an Aperol Spritz, because what says Italy more than a spritz!?! We ordered a few appetizers, artichoke, squash and asparagus. The squash was unique. It had pickled summer squash, a vegetable that I never considered pickling. Simply delicious. The asparagus was perfectly cooked and the sauce really enhanced it. Great side dish. I did not try the artichoke, but my wife and daughter both said they were amazing. For mains, I ordered the Aragosta fra Diavolo, my wife the Cappelletti and my daughters the Carbonara. If you're looking for a place to work, it's great for solo productivity, reading, writing, or answering emails. However, it can get a bit lively and loud, so I wouldn't recommend it for virtual meetings or calls. For focused work without meetings, though, it's a perfect spot.
