I was greeted by a surly bank teller you said to me "you need to put your mask on." I did not hear him, so I asked him to repeat himself. Very rudely and loudly he said "YOU NEED TO PUT YOUR MASK ON." I told him he was being rude and reminded him about the magic word we all learn in kindergarten "Please." I said to him how about "Please put a mask on." He repeated, in an angry tone, "please put your mask on." I placed my mask on and went to the teller next to him For the record, I noticed two other employees in the small office in the back working without masks on. Rules for thee, not for me? I had considered setting up my banking at TruMark out of convenience, but no longer. Once my car is paid off, I'm done with them. Customer service is so important to me and quite frankly this interaction left me puzzled and speechless.

Had you asked me 5 years ago if I would be excited to see face to face tellers I would have said "who cares". But after banking at their other locations where they are behind a screen and me at 5'9 had to bend down to see and listen to them, i can tell you i am thrilled to see tellers! Plenty of free parking too. This branch is managed I believe, by a long time Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union employee and you can see and feel the caring at this branch.

I had intended to open an account and do my banking there if they offered a similar level of service as my old credit union in Florida. These people put the union in credit union. They acted as if they would be doing me a favor by taking my money. They would not talk to me before I filled out an application and became a member. No information on checking account fees, minimum balances, interest rates, nothing. They kept repeating that it wouldn't be fair to other members if they talked to me before I signed up. Seriously? That's how they attract business? How could the truthful dissemination of product information be unfair to anyone? This is the 21st century. Every financial institution in America has a website where they advertise their rates and service details to anyone who is interested. If Boeing Credit Union's service is so poor that they won't talk about it to prospective customers then head for the door, which is what I did.
