She wrote my name on thename plate. I felt very special and it was nice to be able to walk in and out, grab clothing and have the same dressing room. They have lots of cute clothing from small to sizes to plus sizes. I am absolutely thrilled that I heated my sister's advice and visited the store. Its now my new favorite place.

Asked my name for my room and wrote it on the door. Fitting rooms are sanitized after each use. I tried on a few pair of jeans. Decided on 2 and saw a small area of discoloration so went back to find another pair. Sales associate asked if I needed help. I explained the discoloration and she helped look through the straight leg style with me. She said it looked like a bad batch of jeans as we found a few pair with the same flaw. She pulled them off the shelf and thanked me more than once for showing her. She offered to order the style, size and color online for free delivery to my home. I agreed. I had done this before with quick turn around.

When I walked in, I was debating on applying for a store card since I've been considering it for almost a year and was already in the store. I wasn't greeted by anyone for almost two minutes, maybe three, while they talked amongst themselves. My greeting was, "Are you shopping for something in particular?" To which I replied, "No." I really wasn't. If I find something I like, I buy it. It's simple for me. When I did find a shirt I liked, I was confused by the sizing "00". I asked the associate, "Gabby", if a "00" was equivalent to an XL in other stores. She said it was a size 10. I asked her again, "So what is the equivalent for an XL. I've never seen a size 10 on a shirt so I'm asking what size I would need." And she disrespectfully said, "And I'm asking you what size you normally wear in other stores." I told her AGAIN a size XL. She finally answered the question by telling me, "Then you'd be a 1 in our store." I put back the shirt and left. Her customer service was a nonexistent and I'm beyond offended. She shouldn't even be employed in a store if she's unwilling to explain sizing that's different than other establishments. It wasn't even a big deal. Why did it need to come to me writing a review and leaving the store empty handed?

The plus-size clothing is great! This may sound a little odd, but I love that I'm a size 1 in that store! Everywhere else I shop, I have to get a 16 or 18, but when I go to Torrid, I don't have to fit into the mold of standard sizes - and that's REALLY nice when you've been shopping in the plus size sections of stores for the majority of your adult life...
