The walls and chairs are a shocking pink, the owner is just adorable and the smell is of baking cookies. We went in for an afternoon coffee and perhaps a nibble on something sweet. We got two HUGE cups of tea and coffee (honestly, the capitals were needed!) a muffin and a cookie (again HUGE) for 4 quid. Yep, 4 quid in total. I know, I couldn't believe it either! It was just so lovely! The perfect place for a princess to enjoy her tea, or ice cream - the ice cream counter looked great! It's got a theme, and that theme is scrupulously applied. The owner (Jacqui) was even wearing pink jeans - the same colour as the walls. It was perfect!

We decided to have a coffee in Hythe just as everything was closing, so this was literally the only…read moreplace open. We may not have walked in otherwise, as it is a bit unprepossessing from the outside, but turned out to be lovely and cosy on the inside. The chap who runs it was fantastic - explaining all about the building (it used to be stables) and giving recommendations on what to try. They had skimmed milk (Hallelujah!) and my father tried the bread pudding (as good as my grandmother's apparently) and I tried a pain au raisin (as good as any other I have ever tried!) The coffee was also lovely. We bought some bread to take home which was jolly nice. We will be returning!
