I was hit with two transactions on my card for the same amount 1 week apart from each other. My service program is supposed to be every 4-6 weeks at $84.95 for Truehealth service and tree and shrub small landscape at $75.95. I requested that if there was any charge for any same/additional service, then to please keep the services to monthly. I reached out to my rep at 918-95*-8872 and informed her of the issue, she replied back to me with the following message trying to justify the double charges and trying to sell me a different program. As I was replying back to her message she immediately unsubscribed my number and blocked me from any messages and communications with her and my issue was never resolved. In addition for one of the scheduled services I clearly remember that day it was raining and I got a message that service will be done soon but never saw the person that comes to do the service, everytime they come they leave me a summary paperwork at the door with the date and time of service and that specific day no show and no summary. It's been 5 days since I reached out and no call no email no solution from TrueGreen. I will be canceling my service due to no resolution to my double charge issue and how the rep handed the situation. Here is the message received from rep to my message sent about the double charge on my card: (Every lawn has individual needs like square footage and condition, and we create a tailored solution for you! I can help with pricing, when works for a quick call?) I'm not a customer and I came home and my entire yard had been aerated and there was a "pesticide applied" sign in the front and back yard. There was a door hanger on the front door but no info about the service or tech's contact info. I always mark my sprinkler heads before aeration so this was obviously not done and it appears the aerator just rolled over them. I was concerned about what was applied and possible damage to my sprinkler heads. I called and spoke with someone who was really confused and had no idea how to figure this out. She took all my info and said someone from management for my area would be in touch. You guessed it! Haven't heard from anyone. I would stay away from this company under any circumstances!! After one year or lawn service the lawn has not improved at all. Yes aeration could help but nothing they did ever helped with weed control. I suspect that the problem with weed control is that a different person comes out each month so they never get to know your lawn and the person applying treatment may be using the wrong treatment or not following the correct protocol or haphazardly applying the herbicides. Sometimes they did nothing but throw down fertilizer which doesn't do much on its own. read more

I complained and they came out to do a free spray but none of the weeds died even after a last spray. I had to go pull up the weeds in my back yard with my own hands. it was way too many so I need to call another professional company. Be careful paying all this money for nothing. The absolute worst! Took 4 trips to kind of do what they promised on my first service, then I canceled and they charged me again and sent someone when I was at work who just did 5 second spritz, just the front Lawn. Said I can't get my money back if I cancel so have to wait to get refund, then cancel. The guy actually showed up with a spray bottle from the store. He said they charge for the back lawn too but don't allow them enough time to do it so he will just focus on the front since nobody sees the back. read more

I've been a Member of Tru Green for a long time now. The Technician that Treats my yard now , Keeps forgetting to Close the gate to our Back Yard. As a result , Our beloved dog has Run Away Twice now. I expressed my concern to the lady on the phone. She assured me she would relay the message to the technician to , Close the Gate after Treating the Back Yard. Evidently , the technician doesn't care to close the gate behind him. The service requested was performed quite well by different individuals. PreEmergent was completed then there was a mix up about aerating. That was finally completed successfully. The next step was seeding and fertilizing which after a few false starts was completed by Jose L . All the application folks did a great job. The only issue I had was that the Sales team didn't communicate with the execution team. When I put my initial review on Google, which was not good, I was called by Chris from Corporate. She made a few calls to Daniel the regional manager and things got communicated and the job was well done. I am currently happy with their service hopefully we have the communication issues behind us. read more

I have been a customer for a very long time. My yard is bermuda and Trugreen has never been able to get weeds out of my lawn. I have had numerous service techs come to my yard with a plan of what they can do to get my yard the way it should look, but never been able to do it. I finally canceled last November'24 and after canceling their service they decide to come and apply an application to the yard in February'25. I have received at lease one call a day and spoken to numerous people over the past month about this invoice. They say they see in the notes where I canceled. They even see the notes that tech was supposed to call before coming to apply any applications for our services when it was active, but nope they just came anyway. They now want me to split this invoice with them. Is this a scheme? If every client that cancels their service receives an unwanted application and they invoice the former client, then start with constant calls harassing to pay an invoice for this until they split and pay half. Go anywhere else for Lawn Service.  Check the over 1,000 1 star reviews on the ConsumerAffairs website before you engage with these folks. If you are in Hall County Georgia your will only get Lip Service not Lawn Service.  First time customer of Tru Green and the rep that came to my house to analyze my lawn laid out all the services they would provide.  The first Service (Pre-emergent weed control) went off without a hitch. Now comes the tricky part. Aeration Followed by Overseed and Fertilization.  After a they cancelled the Fertilization visit because the aeration and overseed had not been done we managed to reschedule the aeration. Then the Aeration was pushed out because no one had put it on the schedule.  Then i was told that aeration will be scheduled sometime between April 7th and October 26th.  Many calls later we finally got the aeration scheduled and the service completed.  Now for the overseed and fertilization.  I received a text note on the scheduled day for fertilization and Overseeding saying that I wanted to talk to the service representative before the application but I was not available to talk with him/her.  I cancelled all my appointments for that day to be home all day and NO ONE showed up or called.  When I called TruGreen they said that he must have gotten lost and the GPS doesn't always work well.  So we rescheduled for the next day.  Once again I cancelled all my appointments in order to be home.  The representative I talked with commented about the reschedule that I should call in the morning to verify the arrival.  That should have been a clue because when I called the morning of the application I was told that the representative should not have told me that and that the actual appointment was now scheduled for the following week. Remember that the aeration is done and now my dirt lawn has started to backfill the holes that the aeration was supposed to open for the seed.  BTW I had to buy the seed as they do not supply seed they will only apply it.  Now a "Supervisor" is supposed to call me back today to resolve these issues.  I will follow up on this site when we have resolved this disaster so DONT PAY ANY ATTENTION TO THE RESPONSES TO THIS REVIEW FROM TRUGREEN read more

I don't t recommend this company at all. Last lawn treatment killed my lawn overnight. You could tell exactly where they sprayed by the pattern of dead grass. I'm not sure what was worse, the fact that the spray killed the lawn, or the very haphazard spray pattern with only fractional partial coverage. It's also near impossible to speak with anyone that touches the lawn. Fun fact though, when I don't pay the bill for killing my lawn, I began to receive 3-4 collection calls every day.if you are reading this TruGreen, perhaps you should invest more money in getting service correct, allowing you to reduce the cost of your collections henchmen. read more

Trugreen called us last spring (2024) offering 8 treatments and 1 aeration service for $530.00. At the time, our yard was being taken over by weeds so we agreed. We paid the amount up front to save a few bucks. Being that we only paid for those 8 agreed treatments and did not agree to continue services we were surprised they sent techs twice now to our house to treat our yard and then charged us for the services. We were not home both those times so we weren't able to stop them but we weren't expecting them either. I guess because our card is saved into their system they figure it's okay to just send someone out and then charge you for it. We've spoken to customer service and complained about these unauthorized treatments and told them to stop it, supposedly it was taken care of. Well, I get home from the grocery store today (2/19/2025) and there is their tech outside about to treat our yard, AGAIN! I do not recommend this company for this very reason. Bad business practices, unauthorized treatments and making you pay for them. Stay away unless you like your money being stolen. Do not fool with these clowns!!! Hired them in April after they solicited me for my business. Fired them on May 24th after they killed my grass. Susan would not allow me to cancel the contract until she sent a supervisor out to see my dead lawn. Susan's efforts resulted in me being billed twice that week and no supervisor rang my doorbell or called me on the phone. On May 31st I sent Susan an email at susanferriola@trugreenmail.com that she gave me on the 24th. That email was sent on May 31. She didn't respond. Then I got billed twice after I fired them. Called and their sorry customer service took 45 minutes to get through. Susan never responded and customer service said they would remove the $82.42. They didn't. Disputed it on American Express. Today, December 3rd they sent a creditor after me. Seriously? Pictures of my dead grass are below. They will say anything to hook you in and are not worth a damn when they start to work. My grass was dead for three months thanks to their putting lime on it and insisting that I not water it in in hot weather. Tall fescue dead within two days. Brown grass all Summer thanks to them. Couldn't re-seed until September. My credit score teeters around 800 as I pay my bills. I can take the hit but plan to raise a stink. DO NOT HIRE THIS GRASS KILLING COMPANY! I called today to get an estimate. The csr said a technician would schedule an appointment with me to review my needs. After he read his sales script and repeated himself three times he said he needed a cc on file to schedule. No thanks. He pushed hard for me to commit to a plan. I'm a builder in atlanta and never prepay for services unless I have vetted the company/technician and we have an understanding regarding the services. I can't even begin to tell you haw TruGreen ruined my lawn. They were OK when they started and now I have NO grass at all. They came out to do a treatment and I told the gentleman we were showing a lot of weeds and he said he would take care of it, well he certainly did!!! He killed all the grass and I STILL have the weeds!!! You can see where he treated and killed everything but the weeds...Then, they sent someone out to look at it, unbeknownst to me so I didn't even have a say in the matter and he determined that we had too much shade and that is why we didn't have any grass....REALLY? TruGreen continues to grow and mature their staff. I got a text reminding me they were coming today. This morning I got a text saying they were on their way. Finally, I got a text saying my representative Kevin Smith was here. That was very helpful! I went ask to say a few things to Kevin and to get a few questions answered and Kevin was knowledgeable and terrific. I went back inside and decide to watch him in the front yard and the back yard. He performed this work with the same intensity and professionalism I would have used myself. I was very impressed. I think through the COVID times, many companies grappled to get and retain good employees. TruGreen and certainly Kevin Smith are part of this ascension. I cancelled service on March 25th and decided to go the organic route. I received a text message today saying a service tech was on the way. I called customer service to confirm my service was cancelled and asked that they stop the specialist from coming. The agent confirmed that I had cancelled and that they would call the tech. Terrible Manager- My wife and I contacted TruGreen and initally we wanted the service. The representative Marinia G. was excellent and informative. It was after her manager, Juanye T. showed up during her visit of our property that changed our mind. Marinia did exactly what she said she would and measured our yard and explained TruGreen Services. Juanye was visibly upset due to some logistics they had to figure out. While Marinia was talking to me at our door, Juanye stayed at the end of the driveway looking upset and then began to yell questions at me about how i contacted the company. He then proceeded to try to stongarm his way into a deal. "What number can get one of my trucks out here next week?" was a repeated question to get me to sign up right away. Mind you, he still hadn't introduced himself, or tried to be friendly. His pushiness in our talks, his rudeness to Marinia in the street outside our home, and his bad atitude while leaving was the sole reason we chose another company over TruGreen. read more

Awful experience. The sales person said a technician would come and do a soil analysis. It never happened. The sales person said someone would tell me what my lawn needed. Never happened. What did happen was someone showed up unexpected and sprayed my dirt and scraggly grass with insecticide on three different occasions. The poison warranted a warning to not walk on the lawn or let pets on the lawn. The worst was that the last application of poison included a thorough spraying of my bird feeder area. It's my opinion that the technician didn't understand how to use poisons wisely. read more
