Signed on for treating 7/15 scheduled for treatment on 7/21 got a text to cancel. Called and was told sometime between 7/21 and 7/25. No show 7/25 Called to reschedule and was told sometime bet7/26 and 7/31. I asked for an actual date and was told " depends on how busy we are". Took them 5 minutes to charge my card and the contract they sent me says I commit for 5 years automatically in the small print. Hard nope !!! Was told my refund would take 7-10 days. Can't seem to find a good lawn care company in the Greece area! After two sprays for dandelions and crab grass, my lawn looked like this. (See below). They did not offer any apologies or new options. Their only solution was to come do the same spray again a third time. It did not work. We promptly cancelled, as I wasn't going to continue to pay for services that weren't working. Trugreen is not very communicative about scheduling to come out and when, and leave a receipt with no explanation verbally what was performed when they are done! If I could give negative stars, i would. I watched your so-called specialist spray fertilizer and weed called all over my dogs toys. I have been dealing with health issues with my dog for about a year, right around the time I started my service with TruGreen. I have bloodwork and fur testing reports stating that she has high levels of boron, a common ingredient in commercial fertilizer. I guarantee this has been happening almost every treatment. I'd leave 0 stars if i could. I should have known with the high pressure sales pitch and their hustle to get my credit card information. They charge me my monthly payment but when it comes time to apply the treatment to my lawn they either do t show up or kill the areas that WERE healthy. These dead spots are apparently from a machine malfunction and chemical burn. I was told they need to be raked out, new soils and seed planted to be fixed. I called this issue in on July 1st, it's now July 24th and no one has been to my property to fix the spots yet. AWFUL!!! read more

Spread the cheapest grass seed sparingly and even though we watered daily the grass did not grow because their topsoil is like cement. Spot treated weeds which are still growing in treated areas. Beware of TruGreen!!!! They can't for the life of them do anything correct! I've called 4 times to have my weeds sprayed in the last 2 months. We have had the 2nd wettest summer on record, plus I water my lawn when needed. There's NO reason for weeds! TruGreen either don't show (and bill me), or they come and nothing changes (and bill me). I received a bill today in the mail for services that weren't performed and the agent I spoke to today said the best she can do is reduce my invoice by 50%. You can't speak with anyone in charge . My husband is a collection attorney and HELL OR HIGH WATER will they get one penny from me. This company is the most unresponsive, non communicative bunch of people I have ever dealt with. The amount of mergers they have obtained has made them bigger, dumber and less likely to know you and your property! We were stuck after one step sold them without our knowledge. We constantly were on the phone trying to get two properties properly treated, treatments scheduled correctly and the billing correct. Needless to say we told them we were done after the season. Don't they come and apply with no signed contract yesterday ( April 8, 2021). Illegal and again....no professional courtesy or business sense. They totally ruined my yard with a multitude of burn spots, in a variety of shapes. This has been going on since May and has not been resolved at all. THey made a lame attempt to aerate and seed, but failed to put top soil down before they seeded, consequently the seed fell on dead patches of grass, and only the birds benefited from free seed. I have used TruGreen for years. They have gone from a company that I once recommended to one that is wholly unacceptable. For starters my lawn looks worse this year than it has in years. I have called them about it and they did another treatment that also made zero progress. The real kicker came today when they did a "core aeration and overseeding" of my front lawn. Wow! I know that it kicks up hundreds of plugs...that's the nature of the treatment. But they were all over my driveway including muddy foot and cart tracks. They just left them there. I actually found a piece of their machinery on my lawn when they finished. And there were gouges in several spots of my lawn where the machines scraped the lawn. They also deposited a mound of dirt on the adjoining street that they just left there. I called complaining. Someone from the crew was going to call me to come clean up the mess. NO CALL! I just came in from cleaning it myself. Looks like it's time to ditch TruGreen !!!! read more

Set up online over the winter which was easy enough. Kinda forgot about it and didn't hear anything for months. I decided to call and see when our apart was. First call she had no idea. Second call she scheduled it but and said it was going to be Saturday. Saturday comes along and no spray. Third call the lady said it will be this week sometime. Meanwhile our Hoa was not a fan of our dandelion farm we have going on. I get an automated call saying they will spray tomorrow. They come and sprayed at 630 am. In the pouring rain. Waking everyone in the house up. After a week with zero results I called again. 4th call the lady said to give it another week and if the dandelions are not all gone call back and we will come back and spray again. I knew this was hog wash because we had our lawn spayed last year and the dandelions were gone in 3 days. I waited the two weeks and called again. 5th call she scheduled a respray. The came out and did it in the pouring rain again. Waited two more weeks with zero results. 6th call I had them scheduled another respray. In the mean time I hear from some Cathy lady that was trying to help but ended up not really helping at all. Just excuses after excuses with each one coming up with something different. I ended up talking to the local manager and he was just extremely rude with no remorse. We get letters saying our Neighbors are being sprayed and our lawn just gets forgot about. They ended up calling a few times a couple days after I canceled trying to give me a discount. I said and I quote "even if it was free I wouldn't want it because it doesn't work". I paid in full for a year service. I had a healthy lawn at the start but some weeds were showing up on the back half and also along the driveway. I had 2 applications and there has been no change in my lawn. It seems the weeds are multiplying not decreasing. The first application was not complete - the back half of my property was never done. The 2nd application was complete. The 3rd application was schduled for June 4th but the technican never showed up. TruGreen acquired my previous provider, OneStep. They moved service which was normally on weekdays to the weekend when it is more impactful to the use of the lawn. I contacted them with this feedback and they have not responded. The second service under TruGreen left long lines of burned grass and of dark green grass throughout the lawn. I provided feedback requesting a callback in their app and they never called. I called customer service a couple days later and they called back and left a message two days after that. I called back again and they couldn't help me. I have to wait for a service manager which does not have a direct number. It's a week after ruining my lawn. This service is terrible. read more

Called to hold a service due to a new puppy and the grand children being there, and they did grub control anyway. Lawn looks worse than my neighbors who have never touched their lawn! Only thing worse than the service is their billing. They said they would credit the grub control part and rebill. New bill came, and tried to pay on line for weeks, but the account balance shows Zero. Then they started calling and said to call a number which I did repeatedly. Cut off numerous times. We used to use a local company but they were sold to TruGreen, great so we decided to get their mosquito control service. I spoke and agreed with their sales person that I would pay for the season in full and they would be out to spray within 5 days. They even gave me a schedule of when the first application would be done by. So I waited and waited and waited. No service despite the fact that my credit card was charge over two weeks ago and still no service. So I finally called, they said it would be another two weeks, no way! I told them if they could not do the service this week I wanted to cancel the service and get my money back. So yesterday I got a call (see picture) that they would be out here today. Today was a beautiful sunny day and my neighbor who uses and mosquito service with a different company got his second treatment to his yard today. At first I thought it was our service being applied to our neighbors yard but I checked and it wasn't TruGreen. So I called both the 800 number and they assured me the service would be done. So when I got home NO Service by TruGreen. So I called their local number, the lady said the tech would be out to service the yard by 8pm. She said she would even send the tech a message to be sure to come out today. Well it's now dark and after 9pm. So tomorrow I will be canceling the service and call my neighbors service company, TruGreen has lousy customer service, and don't get the job done. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

The worst choice my husband and I ever made - paid for the works, primarily aeration and seeding which was an expensive addition. When they came to seed in the Fall, they took care of a few small dirt patches and nothing else. They didn't even touch the backyard. We called and were told someone would come back. When they finally did it was so late in the Fall that none of the seed took. So come spring, we called again, and they said they would return to fix it. When they returned they did not aerate or seed but rather sprayed pesticides. We were incredibly displeased. So we called. They came back a week later, AND SPRAYED PESTICIDES AGAIN! So they said they would come back again to seed. Eventually a "manager" called my husband and explained how they were so sorry this had all happened but they could actually not come and seed because the amount of pesticides they had put down would harm the new seed. So they assured him that instead someone would come seed near the end of the month so that the seed would not be harmed. They never did. My husband called back and he was told that the manager must have misspoke because we weren't scheduled for seeding, rather we were put into a schedule for the people who do the seeding to call us regarding when they would come. They never called. I just got off the phone with them again and they informed me it is now too late for Spring seeding and we will have to wait until the Fall...Meanwhile, I'm sure they will keep trying to charge us for this and that, all the while never having actually done the thing we paid them ALOT of money to do because we are not allowed to cancel our account if you have any pending services on the schedule. Therefore, should they ever finally come seed in the Fall, we will have to call back again to cancel otherwise they will charge us for service renewals automatically. read more

They have burnt my lawn and after many calls trying to get a supervisor to come out to look at the damage I finally got a call, set up a appt. with this so called supervisor and no show, yes, a no show, he did not call and say he would not be coming it was just a no show. I would say NO They also damaged my invisible fence and I was told to have invisible fence contact them and they would pay for the damage, well invisible fence called them and emailed them with no response so we were stuck paying the bill and of course NO response from anyone at TruGreen when I called them to inform them of this. I called TruGreen yesterday and asked them to provide me with a quote for their services. As with most companies in this marketplace, they don't want to come out and see your lawn, but rather they just use satellite imagery to give you an estimate. I find this practice to be a little annoying, because I have some issues with my lawn that I think needs some special attention, so an onsite visit seems prudent. With that being said, I do understand the necessity to save money by not sending an employee out to give an estimate. Where I really have issues with this company is that once they verbally quoted me a price, I asked them to put that down in writing, and they said "no they don't provide written estimates." Very happy with TruGreen Services. After just one treatment I was amazed at the improvement in weed reduction and the green color of the lawn. The value of the Service was also excellent. They applied a ton of fertilizer and weed control for a very reasonable price. I was also happy with the online tools and service notifications.. kind of like UBER for your lawn! I would recommend their services. Only area for improvement I could call out was the amount of time it took from the time I signed the contract to the first treatment.. almost 4 weeks.. If I could give negative stars for this business I would. I had a contract with another lawn service last year. Come spring, I received a call from Trugreen stating that they would be servicing my lawn on the next day. I immediately called the 800 # that called me and told them that I don't have a contract with them and that I had received a message stating they would be at my house the following day. The gentlemen asked me for my phone number and my address and told me that they did not show us as a customer and to ignore the message; it was in error. The next day upon returning from work, I noticed a "Sorry we missed you" note on my front door. The note said they had applied 9 pounds of fertilizer on their visit. I have been receiving messages and letters since telling me that I need to return my 2019 contract to them so they can apply other chemicals to my lawn. Apparently, by law they can only do fertilizer. I never received a contract from them. I only had the 800#, but just received a post card telling me that one of my neighbors was having chemical applied to their lawn and I found the local number on that card. I called them today and the lady said she could not help me unless I provided her with my customer number. I explained I am not a customer so I cannot give her this info. She told me to call back when I get this info. I am beyond livid. She told me that she could put me on a do not call list, but I don't see that helping me with someone coming onto my property and applying anything without my permission. BTW... the day they came, my yard had standing water and more than 10 inches of grass. We could not mow it as there was so much water. We could not even walk on 3/4 of the lawn as it was so bad (like pudding). How someone would 1. come onto our property without permission, 2. throw down fertilizer in the water or 3. expect that it would do anything good in that much water and grass is beyond me. I am livid with how we have been treated, the numerous computer generated calls and the lack of assistance when I called to ask for help. My husband was seriously considering using them. So during the trugreen/onestep merger this company didn't do our scheduled grub treatment and half my lawn is dead. I called and basically was told very sorry to hear that a manager will call you within 24hrs, I think it was a manager that called and said I'm gonna send a guy over in a month to rake all the dead lawn up I laughed and told him you killed a half acre and your sending one guy with a rake..... now today 10/01/2020 still nobody to even look at our yard. Yesterday 10/30/2020 trugreen/pga shows up to do a treatment I don't need, I wasn't home but my 4 security cameras were... the worker if that's what you wanna call him was supposed to be spraying for weeds he should of had a 500 ft hose/ sprayer that unreels from truck.... nothing but a receipt in his hand!!!! walks my whole property and I can tell in footage that it looks like he's casing my home looking at doors and windows. 15 min he walks my property puts receipts on my front door and leaves. They billed me 80$. I'm calling police today to see if I can file a trespassing charge against the company/worker since no work was done and walked my property looking in windows. The customer service is horrible. My lawn has been skipped 3 months in a row with many promises to come out. I ask to speak with a manager and I am always told contact within 24-48 hours. It has been 3 weeks with no calls from them after I have made several attempts. The customer service reps have no contact with supervisors. The lawn tech has stepped all freshly sealed sidewalk which was barricaded off and ruined it.
