They seem interested only in spending as little time working on your lawn and going to their next call. I've switched to Kapps and am thoroughly satisfied with their work. Tru-Green never got rid of our dandelions. With Kapps, they are all gone after 3 applications. read more

I paid to have my whole yard treated and the only did the front yard. When I called to tell them about this they said I only paid for the front yard. I than told them no I was told that was the price for the entire yard they told me that the sales person just told me that so I would sign up. How is that not bait and switch? read more

Buckle up. You're in for a ride. We initially purchased a weed care package, late last year. We requested for the weeds in our flower beds, all around our house, to be taken care of. We were told that that is something they do, and the sales rep closed the sale, putting us down for a contract. For several months, somebody would arrive, and quickly leave, leaving a note that all they had done, was "put fertilizer on the lawn to increase growth." This was NOT what we requested, as our lawn grows very quickly already, and they didn't even touch the weeds and flower beds. I called in multiple times, to complain and ask for the correct service. Each time, somebody would apologize and said they "fixed it." We continuously received the wrong service, each time being charged, and were finally told that there were actually notes in our account, saying that "this was a bad sale." YIKES. So, they knew it was a bad sale, and kept giving us the wrong product, charging us, with no remedy. That's just wrong! Finally, two months ago, after somebody came out and put the fertilizer on the lawn again, I called and got somebody in management. I was told that (here's the kicker) weed care in flower beds is not something they even do!!!! I was sold something that doesn't even exist...... I was told that the next step, was to take my case to upper management. During the month I was waiting for an answer on how they would remedy this situation, somebody came out and.....put fertilizer on the lawn again. When I finally got to talk to upper management, they just refunded the last service, and cancelled my subscription. As somebody who's in sales and customer service, I would NEVER put anybody through what I've been through. I'm surprised they're still open and running, as this is, by far, the worst home service I've ever dealt with. Hundreds of dollars later, and no service, I can tell you to STAY AWAY! You're better off with any other company. read more

Trugreen claims satisfaction, that if you are not satisfied with your lawn treatment they will return until they get it right. They started off good, my lawn looked great at the beginning of summer and the end of spring but now it's the end of summer and my lawn is full of crabgrass and has large patches of ground ivy. They have been contacted numerous times to remedy the problem. They've claimed in email exchanges that they've visited my property and applied their treatment but my wife who works from home says they never showed up. In the past when they did show up they were on my property for just a few minutes. My lawn's condition is the evidence. Do not use these guys, especially if you pay them up front, they are not who they say they are and the only thing green about them are the weeds. I have photos as evidence. Not a lawn care service at all. There was no testing, no real check on what is going on with the lawn, just showing up and spread fertilizer (without knowing it is needed or if they are over fertilizing because no soil check took place), and then leave. All those question you answer before you sign up about bare spots, patches, browning, all that is a complete waste of time to pretend like they actually care and will get the the heart of the issue. They just show up, throw some stuff and leave without any testing or effort put into diagnosing and fixing the cause of those issues. So i canceled them after 1 single visit. If you cant even check to see what is happening before spreading treatment, you will cause more harm then good and clearly do not care. You can burn the soil by over fertilizing as well, so just spreading it without knowing can cause a bigger issue. When I asked why a test was not done, the response was "They don't do testing in your area unless there is a direct need to"......I would thing before spreading crap would be a good time to test and see what is needed... I can spread fertilizer randomly throughout the year, I paid them to diagnose what else is going on outside of that. Waiting until AFTER they burn my lawn to do a test because then it would be "direct need to" is completely unacceptable. DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY! MIGHT AS WELL PAY A TEENAGER TO SPREAD FIRTILIZER FOR 1/10TH OF THE PRICE. Trugreen are neither experts nor professionals. read more

Stay away! They're just terrible. Actually I signed on 2017 with them And the very first applications everything were going well until then... well they decided to not treat the lawn. Then I went to another company, that one really fixed my lawn and I got away from weeds and crabgrass and the lawn was shiny and very thick green. Then this year to my surprise (because I spent 2 y with another company) I thought was the company that I was dealing with and I did a terrible mistake. They did not identified themselves as Truegreen but something else because they knew I would refuse their terrible services. Well I fell into their conversation and signed for lawn care treatment. Pretty expensive to cover all of so called services needed for the lawn. Now, the lawn takes longer to grow, not fully green and my lawn is being suffocated by clover, crabgrass. It's being destroyed. I'll have to cancel the services and go again with a local company spend hundreds of dollars to fix the lawn that wasn't treated right. Do your favor for yourself, stay away. Go with very good reputable local lawn care services. Do not do the mistake that I did. read more

After having the sales manager at my home promising to provide better service, I signed up for another season of lawn fertilizer service. A BIG MISTAKE!! First application and my concerns from last year are here again. Tech to lazy to use the printer tools provided to him to print out a receipt of services rendered. What I get is a barely readable scribbled note with barely any information. Don't waste your time or money on this company. They are the worst! read more

I would not recommend this company for any lawn care service, because you will not receive any service. They show up, stick a sign in yard saying they treated your lawn, however, the service was never done! I drove out to the office, pounded on the door with no response, and employees were there! If you need your lawn treated, do your homework, get a family owned business, they seem to be more honest and caring, unlike these franchise snakes! read more

They only get one star because you can't give them zero. DO NOT let them sign you up for the prepay the annual fee deal. I did that...guess what...I was supposed to have about 4 services by the end of August and only had two. YOu have no recourse. I watched the guy on the GPS drive all around the community but never come back here when he missed us on a schedule appt. Even on reschedules he missed. Called Trugreen customer service...we would like our money back...going on 6 weeks, we got squat. Next step will be the magistrate for breach. read more

I used TruGreen for a few years and had no problem with their service until this year. I purchased flea and tick control as I have in the past but this year the technician came and put down lawn pest control instead of the granular flea and tick control. I called several times to speak with my local office but after being put on hold nearly one hour could only speak with an arrogant woman at the 800 number who insisted I got the proper service. I requested a call back not only from the technician but also from the branch supervisor, but I never got a call back from either, I did, however, get a call back from someone at the 800 number who argued with me as well. Now when I call my branch office, a recording answers saying this number is no longer in service. This is by far the worst company I've tried to deal with and the worst experience. read more

Hands down, the absolute worst company I have ever in my life done business with. They signed me up for incorrect services not once, not twice, but 3 times. I spoke to multiple managers, had me previous phone calls reviewed to recognize the error, had other managers tell me that the people I spoke with before must have been wrongly informed because the services I requested were a clear option on their side of things. Since February, it is now April, the company has contacted me 18 times, 11 phone calls came in the day that I signed up and paid for my services. They promised my lawn would be treated within 5-7 days of signing up, when I called to follow up on scheduling, they informed me that they can not treat my yard until May. They are full of incorrect, misleading information. They FINALLY made it to my house today and provided me with the wrong treatment. I paid for 4 rounds of full yard flea and tick treatments... they fertilized my grass instead today. I have no idea how this company remains in business. I requested a full refund and to be on every single do not contact list that they have. WORST COMPANY EVER. read more

Horrible service, don't waste your money! I had called to complain a few times, I explained to them that I have a security camera in front & back of my house. I know when someone is on my property! A couple of times, I received notification that they had completed the service, when they were never on the property. The second time that happened was on a Saturday morning when I was home and my dog was in the back yard. First, my dog would have definitely alerted me if someone was on the property, and secondly my security cameras would have triggered. I called to complain again! Obviously he never showed up to my property! The customer svc rep said that she would have the lawn care rep contact me, never heard from him. The Branch Manager Tammy attempted to contact me a couple of times and left me a message on my voice mail to call the 800# to voice my concerns, and they don't provide a local # where you can call back and actually talk to the Manager. I have already talked to the customer svc reps numerous times and it gets me nowhere! I'm sick and tired of paying for someone else's lawn service and my yard still looks like crap! read more
