The construction of Zen windows had a superior quality than the other windows we interviewed. Installation by Marcos and his crew was efficient and professional. Window installation was quick, while making a difficult job look easy. While selecting for a window company can be daunting, we searched through the internet for window ratings and found Provia Endure Windows to be highly rated. Lifetime warranty for the windows and installation also were deciding factors for us. Curb appeal, value, comfort plus improving energy-efficiency and security added value to our house. 38 windows replaced by Zen Windows.

While I appreciated their history, classic look and the fact that they were still in good shape, it was clear they needed to be updated. I contacted several window companies around town, both local and national establishments. After being put off by some of the high pressure, in person sales tactics other places had, I found the approach that Brian and his team at Zen Windows very refreshing. I also saw that they were voted Best in Charlotte by Charlotte Magazine in 2020, and I wanted to support a local business if I could. Brian was very generous with his time, and it only took a few phone calls with him and a quick visit from his installer to get measurements for them to have all the information they needed. I was impressed with how simple and straightforward the process was. Another huge selling point was that I wouldn't have to pay anything until the job was complete, a big difference from other companies. The turnaround took about three months for the windows to be built, but I would chalk that up to COVID, supply chain issues and increased demand for home projects because of the pandemic rather than anything on Zen's end. Quoted turnaround times at other businesses were similar. Once the windows were ready, Zen sent a simple three man crew to my home to perform the installation. Each gentleman on the crew probably had 30-40 years of window installation themselves, so as a team they were pretty capable. In just two quick morning sessions, my windows were complete! I'm extremely happy with the end result. The windows are fantastic, incredibly easy to use, they look great (black exterior FTW), and I can already tell they perform much better than the old ones. Brian and his team did an outstanding job, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their windows!

When part of the equipment (supplies) were found to be broken - during shipping via company truck, there was an offer of reimbursement for time and travel. The original offer was given by a nice, pleasant lady, but my relative failed to write down her name and when this relative phoned the store to ask for help in this promised offer of reimbursement, an employee whose first name was Daryl, Darrel - spelling unknown refused to give his surname. He said he did not need to refer my relative to any other department or per- son/that he would be able to settle this situation by himself. This man named Daryl (if this is his real first name) accused my relative of ordering in various ways -- to take blame from the store, finally stating that he might consider sending $50 in form of a store credit. My relative stated that both the original order and the replacement order had been placed at the Home Depot Store, In Christiansburg, VA. This confrontation was so unpleasant to my relative that she finally told the employee, Daryl ________ that because of his speech and lack of concern - that Home Depot would no longer have her family's business. This is an unpleasant experience, making me not wish to shop at any Home Depot, as I feel that this rude employee does not have respect for others and definitely lacks finesse in dealing with customers. 3-15-2021
