Another chimney sweep checked out the chimney and told us not to use it, it had a lot of weather damage. They gave us an estimate that was a lot more than we wanted to spend. We contacted Don for another estimate. His estimate was much better than the first and we were much more confident after talking with Don and Dustin and we were proven right. They installed stainless steel inserts and installed a fireplace insert. They were professional, always on time and did a great job. They had to remove one of the old linings and when they were finished, they left everything cleaned up and left no mess. We'll have them come back for sure. We'd highly recommend them.

She was told it would take about 4 hours and would cost between $600-800. The work was completed in less than 2 hrs but he still charged $750 and did not even provide a receipt/invoice for the work. Also needing her chimney swept and seeing info on the truck that they also did that, she asked to have that done. They did not sweep the chimney, but did tell her the chimney was unsafe to operate and that it needed repairs and wrote a repair estimate of $6,200. That is when she asked for my help. I called and texted Regan to discuss/understand the quote. At this point I did not even know about the dryer vent debacle. I had to leave a message and they did not return my call or respond to my text, so I contacted another company (the ones that had just swept my chimney) to conduct an inspection. Days later, while at her house waiting for the other company to arrive to inspect her chimney (on 23 Sep), I called Regan again, but again had to leave a message. I got a call back very shortly. I was told they would look into the estimate and get back to me. They never did. The bottom line was that they had not even swept the chimney to be able to see that/if the chimney was cracked/unserviceable. The other company swept the chimney and conducted a thorough examination and determined that the chimney did NOT need ANY repairs/work whatever and was perfectly safe (and now clean) to operate. I again contacted Regan, on 4 Oct, 11 days later, saying I was making one last attempt (as I had repeatedly been unsuccessful) to discuss the quote (and now the dryer ripoff), and would 'take this up as necessary with any other official or feedback/review entities'. The response was '...I told you I was extremely busy.....I don't appreciate the tone....you are not my customer.... I STRONGLY advise you NOT do business with this company. Beware... It is not nice to take advantage of an 84 yo widow!!! shame shame...not to mention to fail to respond to an inquiry about an estimate already provided (and work performed)...

THIS IS OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE NOKE'S HANDYMAN: The Noke's…read moreHandyman, Mark Hodges, and his partner, Chris Delonzo, contracted with us to do several jobs around our house for a total of $8,950, for which they requested a 50% deposit; so, we gave them a check from our Equity Line Account for $4,475 dated 1/21/21. They were contracted to start work on 2/16/21. They removed debris from behind our garage on the 16th and made arrangements to meet at Home Depot to have us purchase materials for continuing the job but then called with excuses due to weather; so, the material buying moved to 2/23/21. They worked for 4 hours on 2/24/21 putting down an additional layer of subflooring in our mudroom. They also started an electrical outlet receptacle in the bathroom and completed1/3 of the flooring in our mudroom the following day. Since that date we have been contacted with more excuses and later dates to come and continue working. Culminating in phone calls and texts on 3/4/21 informing us that Mark and Chris are no longer partners and would no longer be working on our home improvement projects and when asked to return our $4,475 deposit, we have been told to 'talk to our lawyers'. We have also been informed that Mark Hodges is filing for bankruptcy. Chris Delonzo, in a separate phone call with my wife, indicated that he couldn't walk away from completing the contract and would be happy to continue doing the work. When my wife asked him about getting Mark's portion of the deposit returned to us, Chris then informed her that he would not be continuing the work.

While there, I asked if he could install drywall in a utility closet that needed it as well as replace some old floorboards. He took measurements for everything and came back the next day and completed the job perfectly! That area of new flooring is probably the strongest part of the house now! haha!
