We heard them clearly because there is no A/C in the building. Thankfully it was not an extremely humid weekend. The room was large and had abundant cabinets. The volunteers who were there when we arrived were kind and polite, gave us a tour of the entire house, but there was no host present, nor anyone else through the stay that we could address a concern. Yet there were random people on the grounds that we could not tell what their presence meant. So security is basically none existent, not that it would be necessary but there was nothing between us and the outside world but our room door lock.

What a cool place tucked away in the country. They had so many different horses and showed multiple uses for the horses and the machines they work with. I liked how they had the herb tour, blacksmith, broom maker and other people showing their craftsmanships at this too. I'd originally planned to volunteer as a helper at the horse camp, quickly determined I was allergic to horses, and wound up working as a volunteer photographer and doing some other miscellaneous tasks, which gave me a glimpse into what a magical place this is. An over-night camp for children who might not otherwise be able to afford such a camping opportunity, Pretty Lake teaches skills like swimming, sailing, archery, ropes courses, etc. and provides a great sense of camaraderie for its campers. I get dailey updates and pictures upon asking or checking in. My daughter's accommodations to being lactose is followed and respected. COMMUNICATION IS KEY! If your child has any allergies or other medical problems IT NEEDS TO BE COMMUNICATED. Also I work set schedules and also shift lead at my job but often I'm getting asked to stay over. With communication I have 0 issues. The help this daycare has giving me is the only reason I'm able to keep my job of 4 years after the murder of my older sons dad. Highly recommend

This place was busy as can be today but nice wide paths and folks paying attention to the "on your…read morelefts" from behind allowed for easy social distancing while enjoying the beautiful day. We've taken our dogs hiking here before many times but today was our first time cycling here, and it really is a great place to bike with some somewhat challenging rolling hills. The path goes all the way to the park on the back side of West Lake, so if you've got a mountain bike you could add that loop to the journey. Quarantine has been really rough on me but the sunny days are a joy as we plug away at training for a Beth-athlon I'm planning to do at the end of the summer (I can't run anymore, so I'm making up my own -athlon of multiple activities ranging from paddleboarding to rollerblading. It was great getting some cycling miles under my belt today and getting that heart beat racing.
