Let me warn you - if you're not a local, don't expect anything other than a surly and unwelcoming encounter from the owners/managers/old-fart couple who obviously run this place. I needed a fishing license, not a berating for my status as a non-resident of Wyoming. Not sure what your problem is, but I seriously doubt you'd still be in business if the less-than-a-thousand people who live in Dubois, WY were your only customers. Being from Texas and all, I will never understand why people like this act this way towards non-locals. The vast majority of the time anywhere in Texas, people - especially those running a business - act friendly and welcoming to everyone. Aside from the license, I intended to spend a couple of hundred or more on fishing gear and related equipment, but you were so vulgar towards me that I thought I should just leave as soon as I received my fishing license. I went to Jackson Hole and spent that money - the folks there were helpful, polite, and happy to take my cash for the same gear I could have likely purchased from you, had you just been the least bit friendly or welcoming instead of nasty. They literally have 10 year olds working there. They don't know where the items are, they have nothing. It's either out of stock or they don't know where it is. Then they ring you up and bicker back and forth like children then take forever to count the change. What a joke read more

Looked at reviews prior to going to the store. Needed some fishing gear and a license for a day. Saw someone had a bad experience there so I was cautious. They must have fix the issues because I was treated great with friendly service. The place was just like the one in my hometown with everything you would see at any ace/true value hardware store with some local flavor. read more
