I used to swear by this place when I first moved to Arizona four years ago. The location is super convenient--less than five minutes from where I live--which made it my go-to. Unfortunately, over time, my experiences have become more and more disappointing. I've had several subpar visits, which is really frustrating. One of my biggest issues is the scheduling. I usually book an appointment or call ahead same-day, and I'm told they can accommodate me--only to show up and end up waiting close to an hour or more. If you can't actually take me at that time, just be honest. I'd rather know upfront than waste my time sitting and waiting. I truly hate that it's come to this because I used to love coming here. i've had chronic ingrown toenails for a while but about 3 years ago i went for a pedicure and asked them not to cut my ingrown toenail because i'd rather do it myself and they didn't listen. The problem was that i got a very bad infection because of their lack of cleanliness and actually had to go on antibiotics. (I'm originally from Georgia) so the shop I'm used to was very good with remembering their clients and making you feel welcome. So my first time here was pretty nice . The prices are very reasonable especially for the work the employees do. I went again around Christmas time and same, very nice. But I went again, today , and the ladies literally remembered me. She filed off the remaining stickers and painted on a beautiful new design that I absolutely love! I was wrong before; the techs here are absolutely capable of painting on lovely designs, even on super short nails. You just have to ask for it and be clear about what you want. I found True Touch on our trusty Yelp! I needed a new salon and artist after my former artist passed away to covid. so it was very tough but I'm happy I found True Nail. This is not my first visit, but my 2nd until I finally said, it's review time. My first time, IT WAS POPPIN, I walked in and wasn't expecting to be seated right away for a full set, but it happened. The whole team were hands on, taking turns on all clients who were sitting down, Medis, Pedis, Acrylics...you name is everyone was busy working and pampering; all attention was given to us. Shop is clean, decorative, welcoming environment with very helpful staff. My full set was not rushed...I ended up getting "Pumpkin Spice" for my first set. **3 weeks later** My 2nd time, I called in the morning and requested for a 1pm, I wanted a fill, polish change and gold flakes...which led me to meet Lily (there are 2 Lily's working, my girl is Lily #1), Lily is hilarious and makes the time fly by when your sitting in her chair. I went on June 29th 2024 early afternoon with my husband everything was fine got a little attitude by not bringing cash for a tip and wanting it to be taken from my card so that was irritating a little but the biggest problem is few weeks later my nail polish started chipping I was like oh man but when I looked down at my big toe and saw this White spot on the top of my toe nail... it's FUNGUS. I have scheduled a doctors appointment for it and have also reported it to the Arizona Barbering and Cosmetology Board and we will take necessary action from there. I had a horrible experience when my daughter and I went to True Touch. We were going for pedicure and full set but ended up walking out. They told me the water was ready never had to ever in my life worry about the water it was already sitting there when I got seated out both feet in and the water was scolding hot there was no cold water added. I immediately pulled my feet out and was upset. I can tolerate hot water but this was beyond that. They added cold water after I was upset and told me ok now your good get back in. My feet felt like they were on fire I told them no I was done sat in the chairs for my feet to cool and all they offered was lotion. My daughter who was also going to get a pedicure saw the lady who did the water give like an oops face and laugh about it that upset her so much seeing the employee act that way after she burned my and couldn't even apologize. I have been here before but will never come back again. If you dare to go here Good luck hope no ever goes through what I went through it was absolutely horrible. read more

I appreciate the confirmation of date, time and tech I'll be seeing that day. The service is amazing! I'm rough on my nails and have chipped or broken a few less than a week of getting them done and they are always willing to fix them for me. I've been to other salons where the cleanliness is lacking, their customer service is horrible and the selection of services is less than desirable. That is not the case at True Touch. I've been seeing this place and decided to give it a try because it looked so pretty inside. I came in for a basic mani and pedi. I'm a simple girl. I really am. But the nail tech got so bitchy with me telling me that no one really gets that anymore and that it won't last long. I understand that, but she kept ranting about it. She's also very rude. I asked how long she's been a nail tech for and she got snappy with me saying "why are you asking?" I really was just making small talk. What really did it for me was when I was about to pay, they wanted cash tip. I don't really carry cash. So they told me to use the atm inside the store. So I did and it gave me a $20 bill. Well I needed to break so I asked the front desk and I got a good yelling. They were telling me "next time pay all in cash!" It's 2022, who carries cash anymore? Anyway, I would not come back to this place. Everyone's so rude. About 20 employees were gathered in the break room just having the time of their lives. They were loud and obnoxious. Meh. This front desk person was very kind and I was attended to fairly quickly. To be frank with you the prices here are not justifiable, for the length of the nails and the service that I got $85 was not a price I'd pay here again. I had to ask the tech I got to fix the design on my middle finger multiple times and she was visibly getting upset. Not only that but she insisted that it looked fine and I had to show her the visible difference between my right and left hand. Multiple employees came to see what was going on. Towards the end she was very rushed and placed rhinestones incorrectly on my left hand. I'm semi happy with my set if you don't look at my left and right set too closely. I had originally gone in for a different set, but they seemed unsure if they would actually be able to execute it properly so I ended up switching to a set I had previously gotten done by a separate nail tech, who for the set of similar length and the same design charged me $65, and I liked the service and the outcome a lot better. That being said, I booked my next appointment with my nail tech and will not be coming here anymore. read more

Take advice from a customer that's been coming for 4 years and won't ever return again. Prices went up and service went down. They make their own prices (hand written on their pamphlets) if your prices have gone up you should have the funds to order new pricing sheets. Where is the money going if it's not going to new nail bits per nail tech all the nail bits are old and they use old tools. I should be getting a new one every time for the price I'm paying. Nail bits aren't that expensive. On top of that you have to remind them of the next step in your service because they want to half ass your service. At this point support stand alone nail techs and stop going to these "chains". read more
