I tried working with several contractors for bids on my property, but Rite-Way Foundation went above and beyond anything I could expect, and they far out performed other contractors I spoke with. My 1,200 sq ft home needed a completely new pier-and-beam foundation constructed, in addition to the concrete foundation perimeter needing to be corrected as well--no small task, and something I was throwing a lot of money at to be done Rite! Mike's communication was timely, transparent, and forthright. As a single, young woman who just moved to the area, I especially appreciated not having pull answers out of him regarding the type of materials, cost of services, or worry about being taken advantage of. I have never had a sub attempt to poach the rest of the work directly from my customer, but he attemptEd. a lot more opportunity for more work. I had received a deposit from my customer and David told me he wanted paid in full before his son left the jobsite. I had no problem with that....and did so. The flake portion of the job was good. The epoxy was very bad. Customer wasn't going to pay me. David went back to look at work, committed to be back on Monday to fix. The "fix" was just as bad. so I am out now $4,050. I requested David return $3500.00. He said after he receives a letter of release, via mail, he would mail us a check. I said, how about we come to Lufkin, I give you a release, and get cash. we can meet at bank. David cancels offer. Now, my customer wants nothing to do with us and I have lost any opportunity there. approximately $40,000 in additional work. On July 27th we will be filing suit for the money returned, loss of business, and legal fees.
