Was visiting from AZ and found them on the Mind Body app. Took a few classes and they were all great and exactly what I needed. The rooms were warm enough and one day the instructor had the class outside on the deck because the weather was hot and perfect for a flow. Took the fusion class a couple times and a flow and they were equally exceptional. The campus here is so beautiful and they have so many different things they offer along with the traditional classes. This place is definitely on my list to come back to when visiting Olympia. read more

Class was amazing. However, as someone who doesn't usually attend this studio I did not feel overly welcomed or super warm vibes, when compared with other studios. I will probably go again at some point. Just know that renting a yoga mat is an ordeal and bring your own snacks and water bottle. read more

Love this place! I've been recovering from a shoulder injury for the last two plus years and decided to try out yoga to start moving it a bit more. That was three months ago, my first time ever in a yoga studio, and now I'm here for class two or three times a week! The classes here do such a good job of being beginner-friendly but at the same time, I see others at all levels being challenged and accommodated as well. I have my favorite teachers and go out of my way to attend their classes, but really every teacher I've had here has been kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The whole space is peaceful and smells nice. They have props you can borrow. Some classes can get crowded but still okay. Signing up online is easy. They offer a great unlimited classes deal for new students, so you really have little to lose to try it. I don't think they have someone at the phone at all times but were super responsive and friendly over email when I had questions. I never ever thought I would actually enjoy yoga but now I'm so grateful this place is here! read more

If you're looking for a yoga studio that is welcoming and has the best vibes, go to True Self Yoga! This was the first studio since moving to Olympia that I visited, and also my first hot yoga class since having my baby. Everyone from the teacher(shout-out to Blu!) to the other students, were SO FRIENDLY. It was beyond refreshing to feel so comfortable for my first time going there. The studio looks and feels like a retreat, it felt relaxing the moment I drove into the parking lot. Very lovely Studio! The instructors Vajra, Connie, Sarah, Jessica & Laura were all amazing & very nice. Love the ample parking area. Registering for classes online using MINDBODY was very easy as well as the check-in process at the studio. I love that they give afew minutes after the class start time for late arrivals due to unexpected traffic, road construction, car accidents, etc. Unlike many other studios, they don't offer a cold towel infused w/ essential oils at the end of each class. Overall, great studio just minus 1 star for the fellow yogis aren't as welcoming nor friendly compared to other studios I've been too. read more

This is the BEST yoga studio I have been able to find in Western United States. And I have visited yoga studios from San Diego (which is where I live) all the way up to Anchorage Alaska. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a yoga school nearly as good in San Diego. So I have been taking Zoom classes with True Self Yoga while I am living in San Diego. read more

Clean, friendly, relaxing and fun class! I'm in town visiting from California and got lucky this studio had some great classes available at 9 am. I signed up last minute and Laura was very friendly in accommodating me both days, I showed up no mat, no water, and she was happy to assist me and get me signed up, so I can join the amazing Yoga sculpt which the temperature was perfect and the room was so clean,all I can smell was the refreshing lavender. Went for the first time yesterday. This place is serene and calm, a little piece of heaven. I took the beginner class and enjoyed it so much. The instructor was gracious and friendly, helping me with suggestions and alternate movements because of recent knee surgery. The session was very calming and I felt so relaxed and comfortable doing the hour class. I will definitely be going back. read more

I just moved here from Austin where there are tons of amazing yoga studios and coming upon this little dynasty on my first attempt in search of great yoga, I was amazed from beginning to end! The staff is very friendly, welcoming and make you feel as if you have been going there for years. The ambience is truly relaxing with a beautiful, contemporary background as the scenery. Super clean area with tons of accommodating equipment (blocks, mats, blankets, etc). They offer a variety of classes throughout the day, which is a huge plus. I left today feeling refreshed and renewed! Excellent session! I look forward to trying all the different classes and grateful to have found my new home away from home. not a bad place. oly is limited on yoga studios, but as another reviewer said, fellow students are not friendly. more importantly, the instructors do not give assistance to new students even when you say you are new and don't know all the poses. you just have to watch other students and hope they are doing it right when you copy them. also, they oversell their classes. they are crowded. I guess the flip side is that the costs are quite reasonable. read more

I was reluctant to start a new hot yoga membership after moving from puyallup. I felt so spoiled by my awesome yoga studio up there..I was convinced that Olympia's hot yoga offerings were poor...until I tried True Self Yoga! The studio is large, clean, modern,beautiful, and best of all, they have showers!!! Every instructor I have had at true self has been warm and kind..this place just has a wonderful energy! An Olympia haven. I recently moved to Oly from Seattle and immediately began searching for a yoga studio to call home. Cue True Self here: my first class session was a hot yoga class, and it was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere of this studio is just sheer peace, kindness, and hard work. I did the 2 week classes for $30 and I fell in love with this place. I've been to many yoga studios in several cities and this place is superb! They have 3 studios: 2 for hot/warm and the salt room for more slow/restore/meditative classes. The classes, rooms, and instructors are on point. The place has great energy and smell. The building is really cool. I'd love to know the history of it. All of the people who work there have been kind to me. I've enjoyed both classes I've gone to and appreciated how the instructor asked the students if she could do gentle adjustments and to let her know if that's wasn't good for them. I would like to see true self yoga offer more low cost classes, or options for scholarships and free yoga. It's a beautiful studio and it's helpful that they have showers. True Self Yoga is an amazing studio. I was passing through town, and was eager to take a yoga class. After looking at a few different studios in Olympia, True Self seemed to offer exactly what I was looking for. The facilities are quite nice! I appreciate the shower that is available after a heated class. My teacher was amazing, and led a very engaging class. I felt challenged and totally satisfied by her sequence. I am new to the area and was in search of a hot yoga studio easily accessible by bus, and since I am traveling by bus, need a studio with a shower. I found this studio, and I am so glad I did. This studio is like an oasis set off from the street. Vajra and Christina (owners) are both welcoming and friendly. The studio is gorgeous, brand new, clean, and spacious. After class I didn't feel rushed to leave to make room for the next class, quite the opposite. There is a nice porch, and a large lobby, where one feels comfortable to relax before re-entering the hustle and bustle of the city. True Self is an excellent yoga studio. Their mid to upper level classes are well rounded to accommodate both new students, as well as seasoned practitioners. I love Christine's class (I'm pretty sure that's her name, she owns the studio). I also took my son there for parent/tot classes. We both always looked forward to it every week. The teachers are all very nice, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The hot yoga studio has great padding on the floor and the temp/humidity is right on point. The women's locker room is very spacious and has a nice shower. If I lived closer to Olympia I would definitely invest in a monthly membership. read more
