I had my son in April of 2021. I've brought him to True North a few times now and each appointment has been great. The girls at the front desk are so friendly and helpful. I like that they schedule you with the same doctor for each appointment so you can get to know them. The nurses and doctor were hands on and gentle with my baby. We've been seeing Dr. Rizen and she's great. She always addresses every question and concern with professionalism and reassurance. The staff members all wear masks and/or face shields. They also take everyone's temp upon arrival. read more

We spent about six months trying to figure out why my daughter was having issues before my daughter was admitted to CHOP. I would NOT recommend this practice. The doctors at at CHOP said she should have been referred to them so much faster. read more

I called to get a sick appointment for my daughter. The nurse that called me back was rude because I wasn't able to give her very precise answers of which I had to ask grandma who took care of her all day while I was working. I wanted to make an appointment to get my daughter checked for a possible infection because of decreased appetite, decreased fluid intake, and low grade fever for 4 days straight. The nurse wanted to know how much she drank at what time, precise amounts, exactly how much pee was in the diaper. I said she hasn't drank as much so we only changed it around 3pm since morning. I said it was one full pee. She said she doesn't know what I meant by one full pee. Did she want me to give it to her in oz(s)? I gave her the perceived estimated total, but that wasn't good enough. When I tried to ask grandma for very specific details, the nurse had no patient to wait. Accused me of changing my numbers constantly. Then told me that what I am telling her is that my daughter is not drinking and not producing any urine, so I needed to her to the emergency room. I said I don't want to take her to the emergency room, I just wanted her ears checked for an ear infection. I said let me start over and proceeded to give her more specific times and estimates to her satisfaction before she would allow me to make a sick appointment. I feel like I had to persuade her to let me have a sick appointment or be forced to take her to the emergency room to be looked at. She had also asked me if she had sores on her mouth. I was confused. Does she expect to diagnose my daughter on the phone? Does she think my 1 year old would open her mouth just because I asked? and does she think if I looked I would know what I am looking for? read more

I'm disappointed they even get 1 star from me. The administrative staff is rude. But you have to exhaust all of your efforts to get a hold of them before they can offend you. After wasting your time listening carefully to a very long message, no one picks up, ever. If they return your call, it's several hours later, right before they close, so be sure not to miss it! I was told to wait 3 days for an answer while my daughter suffers with an infection, and after 6 days of no communication, no empathy and no apology, I pulled her out of there. In the 3 years I've gone there, I've only needed maybe 3 sicks appointments, and I've been disappointed and offended by them every time. When I have a very healthy child with minimal needs, why is so difficult to receive reasonable treatment? Don't waste your time with this practice. Go ANYWHERE else. read more

The docs and PAs provide excellent care but the administrative staff are problematic. It is nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone. It rings about nine or 10 times before you get the long-winded list of extensions for what you need. Their policies about filling out wellness forms (four business days to fill out a simple form) are archaic. There is no option to leave a message or complaint with the practice owner. A lot of work and training needs to be done with the administrative staff. read more

Paula K- the office manager is super aggressive and never at work, I left a voicemail Thursday she did not return until Tuesday. This was an issue where my son was pricked twice with same needle- by nurse Denise. Not only did she prick him twice with SAME needle- she yelled at him when he moved (aka Flinched) like any normal person would do. Plus she didn't talk to him- she didn't say how are you- it wont hurt? what are you being for Halloween? like the normal nurses would do or say. she made me move to the other side and when i asked did you prick him twice she said yes he moved, i said I wish i would have known that!. She said "known what" about the two shots? she said said well i didn't know he was gonna move, i said he is 3.5 give me a break. She said well do you want his paperwork, and I didn't prick him twice? and walked out of the room! (i went home waited three days took band-aid off there is two needle marks; since she wanted to lie about it!)disgustinggggg! now my 3.5 doesn't want to go to dr bc the mean nurse yelled at him-I DO NOT BLAME HIM! The office manager Paula has know idea what she is doing, and we will be leaving this office and will be following a complaint with the health board. save yourself and do go here! read more

I love this office. I've brought my son there since he was a newborn and have never had any issues with the front office staff or receptionist. I find everyone there is pleasant and professional. We never had to wait more than 20 minutes to see the doctor and they've always been able to see us same day when my son has been sick. Sometimes you do have to wait awhile in the exam room to see the doctor, but they never keep you in the front waiting area very long. My son loves everyone in the office, especially the nurses. read more

Very rude office staff. Physicians are fine, but the rest of the staff are not helpful at all.

This review is about the administrative staff. The Drs and nurses at this office are professionals and do a good job. With the staff and their administrative policies however, it is a different story. At times it is very difficult to set up an appointment, especially well appointments which the first available one can be months away. They will not work with you nor make an effort to help. In the winter they have appointments for flu shots only after 11 Am ?? And all evening appointments are taken for the next 4 weeks. So good luck getting an appointment if you are a working parent and are looking for something in the morning or evening. Their billing department never pick up the phone, and will intermittently return your call after leaving a message. Even their phone system will make you listen to a very passive aggressive message before you can reach who you are looking ("please listen to the following options CAREFULLY" then listing the options Very slowly as you, their client, are an incapable idiot) .Again the Drs and nurses in this office are generally good, but dealing with the administrative staff feels like dealing with Comcast. read more

Incompetent front office staff including the manager who can't event understand simple logic. I sat 40 minutes in the waiting room past my sons scheduled appointment. The doctors and nurses are professional and friendly. The problem is the administration staff like the other reviewer said its similar to dealing with Comcast. We had been taking my son there for his whole first year never a problem and then one of the nurses carelessly gave my One year old the wrong vaccination. I felt that it was poorly handled, he was sick for a few months and was very traumatic for my husband and I. Their only saving grace was Marie the rn and dr. Holtz. I really feel they should be required to read the vaccine to the parent and have them sign a release stating they have both read the vile and it is the proper vaccine. They were very lucky nothing major happened to my son. read more
