When I went back for the procedure after a quick X-ray of my teeth and explanation of the process they said it would take 5 to 10 minutes so I went without the anesthesia. They put the numbing in my mouth which stung for just a moment but went away right after. Dr. Jason Jenny they said his name was came in they told me to open up. I felt a little bit of pressure but no pain at all and BOOM! My wisdom tooth was out in 5 seconds before I even noticed. I saw them pull out a white thing out of the corner of my eye. I was like, "Is that my tooth?" But before my brain could finish that sentence he quickly discards the tooth and drops the tool on the table like a mike drop and jokingly says "sorry that took so long".

And for a person with no insurance, this is really something awesome. I have had Dr. Holtz do a exam, and on my first visit I had learned that I had a weird chip in one of my teeth. (Honestly, I was probably just shoving food too quickly into my mouth one day and probably chipped it.) But luckily, I could get it filled that day; and the really nice thing about White Bear Dentists is that I was able to meet with one of the receptionists, and we talked about possible price options for my filling. I was able to enroll into the smiles discount program for a small cost, and was able to get the filling done for a decent price. (Honestly, it better than getting a cavity and going through that) I have since then, referred my boyfriends, and my mother to White Bear Dentists. Dr. Holtz even did an emergency fill on one of my boyfriends chipped tooth, and did 7 cavity fillings in one sitting on another. White Bear Dentists is really a great place for people who have insurance but also for those people who have no insurance. They really talk about what needs to be talked about like prices and the type of care BEFORE you get things done. And this really does matter when you're paying out of pocket. While eating a burger the tooth they warned me about cracked. I was not in pain, but they fit me in the next day. I have had a lot of crowns done, and none were a good experience. Dr. Kelsey was great. I was fitted with a temporary crown that day and the permenant was ready within a few days. The new crwon is better than the real tooth that chipped. Total bill well over 7000, with insurance they said they accepted, accordong to my receipt, insurance paid for about 100$ of care when my insurance plan claims it would pay for up to 50 percent of services like xrays, cleaning, fillings. When crown became so painful that i cant chew or close my mouth, told i would have to pay out of pocket (again) since my insurance expired. Ran out of numbing agent during teeth scaling, had an open nerve rinsed with water which caused excruciating pain. Wish i went anywhere else but here.
