So I'm writing a lot because there aren't currently other reviews for this place on Yelp, and…read morethought I should include things I would have liked to have known going it. The couple who run this business is super nice, and since we were visiting from out of state, the guy helped us finalize some sight seeing plans for Bryce Canyon (GORGEOUS in winter!) My husband and I were able to book back to back float sessions, each having to wait for the other as currently there is only one float pod. They have a great deal for $99 where you can get a massage and float session for an hour each, so while one person is floating, the other can get a massage. But you have to book in advance since they are short handed with only one full time masseuse (the wife) and one part timer. So we were not able to get a massage, but people raved about her. In the waiting room they have a book where people have written their experiences down about floating. The couch is pretty uncomfortable and not good for bad lower backs, especially when you are waiting an hour and a half. You also get to watch a video about what it's like to float and how to do it. Go early, you have to fill out paper work and initial a bunch of health stuff. Your body cannot be emitting anything gross. It's all in the paper work. You take a shower there before you get in, for obvious reasons, and one when you get out to rinse the salt off. They provide small slippers and a small bathrobe and towels. The shower had shampoo and conditioner. We were nervous about it, but reading the journal made me excited. They also have water, tea, (can't remember if there was coffee), coloring books for adults, and magazines. The float pods contain more salt than the Dead Sea, so that's cool. So you can float in your bathing suit or naked. They say doing it naked is weird the first time. We survived. Lol. It's VERY hard to stay still like you are supposed to, and hard to turn the brain off. They have lights and music that you can turn on and off from inside the pod (don't forget to turn off the room lights like I did,) to help you relax or turn off the brain. Most prefer lights off and music off, but being a bit claustrophobic, I had to have the lights on till I relaxed. And then had to turn the music on to shut the brain off, but the guitar music sounds screechy under water, so back off it went. Even though they provided throw away ear plugs. Also, maybe don't shave anything the day of - salt can burn a bit. Let your arms and legs float to the place they want to be, don't stop them. Three times we were each ready to get out. We got super antsy. But it's worth it to stay put. There were a couple of seconds here and there where it does kind of feel like what anti-gravity must feel like. Very cool feeling. Better than staying still, I enjoyed very gently pushing off the bottom and top back and forth, to get the sense of what it might be like to float between rooms on a spacecraft. They say the more you do float sessions, the easier and faster it is to relax. They also say you sleep better; we slept good that night, but not phenomenally. We did notice we seemed to have a lot of energy after our float session, though the video warns you may feel tired the first time from detoxing. Everyone's experience is different, but I'd say definitely worth it to try it out for $39 - better if you can get the packaged deal!

Don't expect anything super extravagant here. Also steam rooms are co-ed so be aware if you're not comfy with that sort of thing. The staff were kind and attentive, and I think prices were reasonable as well.

I gave floating a try a couple years back while traveling through Las Vegas and was hooked. I've also tried floating a few other places like Salt Lake City. True North Float in St George has me coming back again and again... maybe it's the welcoming vibes as you walk in or the incredible float rooms. I find it refreshing to see support for local artists on the walls and a very creative and relaxing zen room to ponder my post float thoughts. My favorite experience is to pair a float with a fire & ice session. My body feels incredibly refreshed afterwards and my mind has space to go back into the world. I even recently tried a hypnotherapy session with Tamra Sargent and had breakthroughs around my upbringing, especially my parents. It was a beautiful guided session into my subconscious mind and I couldn't be more grateful of Tamras open and loving spirit. True North has somehow found a way to point me in the right direction and renew my love for myself and my life! read more

First time experience..I have been going through a rough few months helping my friend deal with a tragedy and thought I needed to try something new to find peace and calmness within me. I was so pleasantly surprised. My senses were so happily enlightened because I never experienced floating in salt water other than the ocean. It did take me awhile to find my inner quiet space which is why I want to go back and try this again. Now that I know what to expect. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Amazing place!!! Clean facility. High quality products. Spacious tanks. Awesome and caring staff. Beautiful Zen room for post floating. Gorgeous art work! What more can you ask for? There's also hypnotherapy, massage therapy, and ketamine treatments offered on certain days. Super tip for anyone looking to get a little extra treatment. Try pairing your float with a Fire and Ice session! Fire and Ice is a form of hot and cold therapy. (Wooden tub with a chiller set around 50 degrees and a sauna) It's fun and challenging but also amazing for your nervous system. True North Float is what I consider to be, "the real deal." They are genuinely dedicated to making sure your experience is great. I went, not exactly feeling good about some life events. Floating has been a priceless tool in my life. I've been floating regularly since 2018 and I can say its made a huge difference in helping me heal my back and hip pain as well as helped me process my emotions, become more self aware, and ultimately transform my life. Floating is my favorite wellness activity, and True North Float is my favorite place to float. Huge spacious room, incredible staff, and the perfect vibe. Try out their other services too! I am not sure words can effectively describe how much healing I have found floating at True North. It is has been the most relaxing thing I have ever given myself. I love deep tissue massage, but honestly magnesium floating is more relaxing and lasts longer for me. I absolutely love the staff and facilities at True North! A phenomenal experience Everytime. I stopped in for a 90 minute float at True North wile I was passing through. It was a great way to touch into some deep rest and recovery on a long drive. I touched into some radical self acceptance and love. I felt quite elated for at least 1/3 of the time. I have had some lasting benefit as I can recall this inner state when I remember to. read more

This was the worst massage I've ever experienced. My masseuse left the room 5 times. There are…read moreonly half walls that don't go to the ceiling- so she was walking out and greeting customers- one of the times she walked to the back for a long time, maybe 3 or 4 minutes. My sister got a massage at the same time and her masseuse used 1 hand the whole time and left the room for 5 minutes- also the worst massage she's ever experienced. And we have had a lot of massages. They were also talking to each other during the massages since the ceilings didn't go up.
