The nurse called me back about10 minutes later and performed the normal procedures, weighing, height, blood oxygen levels, etc... Dr. Wang came in about 5 minutes later. He is a friendly man and wants to hear about your health, history and lifestyle. I never felt rushed and he was easy to talk to. He explained his methods of care, his rating on what you are doing now, and any changes of action that is easy to understand. He said he wanted lab work and it could be performed on site! Wow! No fasting, no going to some lab, no waiting! The whole appointment was just over an hour and I'm done! The next day I received an email with my lab results and what he want to tweak! That was so quick! I am very impressed with the entire practice from the ample parking, and friendly staff, to the attentive nurses and doctors to the painless quick lab facilities. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new Doctor. Truly a medical practice like is should be!

I love the fact that whenever I schedule an appointment to see my doctor or for my son to see his doctor, appointments are scheduled in 1 HOUR Blocks. In other words, I have time to sit and chat with my doctor face to face regarding my health and all that concerns me. The same goes for my son's Pediatric Doctor. We are NOT RUSHED because the doctor must quickly move on to the next patient sitting in the next room! The doctors at Hitchcock Family Medicine actually take time to listen to your concerns. I've got to be honest, I am not a huge fan of pharmaceutical medications especially because of all the side effects that go along with them. My doctor is aware of this and so is my son's doctor; nevertheless, they practice medicine and care for our needs striking a comfortable balance between my faith and religious practices and conventional medical practice, never missing a beat to fulfill their medical oaths and responsibilities as doctors. I can be as open as I choose to be with our doctors in order to receive proper diagnoses, and the best recommendations and care and be comfortable with it. Also, the staff, I meant to say Nurses are very professional, courteous knowledgeable. They are willing to work with your schedule and finances to better help you help yourself through the services they provide at Hitchcock Family Medicine. What really sealed the deal for me was the fact that they make 'House Calls!' Okay, even though it may be under extraordinary circumstances that they make their way out to your home to exam you, in this era of modern medicine, major cities, big hospitals and technology, I am sold on Hitchcock Family Medicine. They remind me of doctors from old western movies where doctors visited their patients in their homes. Oh, I must not only say, but emphasize that at Hitchcock Family Medicine, they're not giving out prescription drugs like candy! In other words, the doctors here at this family practice will prescribe medication(s) if you truly need it as determined through lab work, examinations, etc...; not through self-diagnoses or the likes of it. I love that! My son's doctor (Dr. Litwin) and my doctor (Dr. Sanders) take time to hear me voice my concerns regarding health issues concerning myself or my son (who has special needs) and after examination, lab work, etc... recommend the best course of action to deal with the issue as well as follow up to see if the chosen course of action is working. I have no problems recommending Hitchcock Family Medicine to any person or family who care about their health and wellbeing and are seeking a doctor(s) to help them manage their health and choose the path to a healthy lifestyle.

I've been unable to go for a 6 month follow up due to having no PTO until January (started a new job). I explained this to the staff and set an appointment for the first date I could (day before Thanksgiving). Now I'm being dismissed as a patient for failure to keep appointments? I missed one appointment. One. If I miss work to go to the doctor's office, I lose my insurance. If I lose my insurance, I can't go to the doctor's office.  I'm in a hard spot at the moment, and these place just made it that much harder. Avoid like the plague.

I actually was really sick about a month ago and decided I needed to go to the doctor. Took a chance and went in first thing in the morning knowing I would be sitting around for hours if they could even see me. Was quite surprised when I was seen within the hour I arrived. It's a large practice with many doctors and they have their own lab and x-ray unit, both of which I was sent to. Turns out I had pneumonia. They have a patient portal too that you can sign up for to email the office and make an appointment, get rx, refills, etc. I highly recommend Dr. Golding and the Chattanooga Family Practice.
