She is a mother, a doctor that is genuine, straight forward and goes above and beyond her call of duty. That's a rare find, nowadays. Historically, the doctors I have encountered have been abrupt, short and recommend unnecessary tests or what not. Dr. Gooden does not do this. Ever. Her Assistant Shanna, is also amazing. Goes above and beyond and I am thrilled to be a patient of theirs. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a Primary Care Doctor or a Pediatrician. Billing and scheduling are terrible. They won't tell me if I have a bill due until it is past due…read more I even call them up to ask about the bill and they act annoyed and tell me it is process through insurance. Then I get texts and emails a month later saying it is past due. Scheduling people are rude and they do a terrible job. If they don't like you they will pretend the only available date is a month and a half out and that there is nothing else available because they aren't required to do their due diligence.

The dispute was not with Vicki Cooke my former NP, she had never talked to me about it, she was out of town during this time.... I guess it's common practice now to have no say so about your care. Regardless, you discharged me as a patient, fine, I will go someplace else... My complaint, you sent out a certified letter in January, or you say you did, you wouldn't show me the receipts. I never received any letter, why would I have shown up for an appnt if I had received it. I had an appnt scheduled on 6/14 since my last appnt in December of 2017. I received a call to confirm my appointment, I asked to change the appnt to today's date. Yesterday I received a call to confirm my appointment. I came in for my appnt, I was asked to update paper work and then taken back to a room.... It was then I was finally approached about the letter that was "sent" out in January. Vicki Cooke would not even come and talk to me. I was humiliated and all of this was over a dispute with a very rude staff member about antibiotics for a sinus infection. Today I came in with a black eye and a hurt shoulder from a fall yesterday, I thought I was going to have it looked at. . I guess I need to find a new doctor to take a look at it.... My advice to the staff there, if you discharge someone as a patient make sure your staff and the patient knows about it. I visited Beacon Medical on Jenkins Road in Chattanooga for a Wellness Screening. I received a…read morebill for $343 for this wellness screening. I have very good Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance and they would not pay for the unnecessary tests that were: an Rogers EKG for $82, a Rogers UA for $15, Rogers Chest Xray $97, and a Rogers General Health Panel for $153. They know most insurances don't pay for this so the send an admin person in your patient room right before the doctor comes in to initialize and check the box next to each test that states if insurance doesn't pay that you would be responsible. I should have walked out but now I'm stuck with the bill. I won't be back.
