Haven't been to this place in a very long time. Since I was in the area I stopped in to speak with someone about getting my eyebrows done. The owner Nikita gave me a friendly greeting and answered questions while working on someone else. I wasn't sure of her or the other girls work as they never did my brows in the past. I reviewed her IG which had some good looking brows posted. I'm very skeptical who touches my brows as I've had bad experiences in the past. Plus my brows hair growth is not exactly the same on each side so it's tricky to shape. I need someone who's knowledgeable with brows. I also don't like the butchered across look. I decided to let Nikita clean them up as I was badly overdue. She did a very nice job and kept my eyebrow shape. I'm very pleased and will surely return again. I simply loved my experience with Nikita owner of True Beauty Threading. This was my first time getting using the tread method with tinting on my eye brows. I am very pleased with my brows and eyelashes. The look is natural, and clean. Nikita took the time to explain the process. I felt comfortable Nikita. The establishment was clean. This establishment is very concerning. They took and publish photos of a customer without my consent and lied to me saying I did give them consent (with no proof). When she asked to take it down nicely they blocked her in instagram. I entered the place and the tech was speaking to a friend. So I made a phone call while waiting. When the tech was done speaking to her friend after 10 min she said she was ready for me, I told her to wait one second and wrapped up my phone call. I then showed her a picture how I would want my eyebrows to look like and asked nicely if she could thread fast because the way she was pulling it slowly and it hurt a great deal. She got upset with me and asked what I did for a living then proceeded to get in my face. I told her I was scared and to stop. She said I was rude to tell her what I wanted.... but isn't that what you are supposed to do? When you get a haircut, you tell them what you want... I contacted the owner and she called me a liar. That's when I found my picture. I asked nicely to remove it and she refused and blocked me. There are multiple reviews on them with having attitudes and being unprofessional. Their address is linked to an employee and service on Groupon that no longer works for that location. I was unaware of that. When I went to the establishment to redeem my service the gentleman explained that to me and said they were unable to redeem my service. I attempted to see if my appointment could still be honored and he became incredibly upset, made accusations of my character, and berated me and another customer who was turned away at the door for not making an appointment. He stated that he's had a lot of issues from the community, and I believe he was letting out his frustrations on me. The young lady accompanying him was kinder in that she let me explain my situation with fewer interruptions. I apologized to the both of them for any stress that I may have caused them with my situation and my personal frustrations with not being able to receive the service I paid for, which I know I shouldn't have to do. It is the establishment's responsibility to maintain professionalism, de escalate situations when needed, and seek resolution. Instead of finding the opportunity in gaining a potentially new customer(s), they blew it. I do wish them the best with their business, but I can't in good faith endorse, support or promote them. ================ I have read the establishment's response to my review on google and am incredibly disheartened to see that they are continuing to lie, attack and berate my character. I DID NOT have an attitude, I was understandably frustrated, which happens sometimes when customers are unable to receive the service they pay for. I believe the employee created a narrative about our exchange that is unequivocally false in nature, in order to vindicate his personal feelings and biases. I HAD an appointment, but it was found out to be booked with a former employee. I acknowledged that. I NEVER uttered a curse word at them. And even though the other customer and I are black, we didn't know each other. Disclosing the discussion you had with the other customer is neither my business, nor is it professional. I told the gentleman multiple times that I understood that the former employee no longer worked at the establishment, but they continued to escalate the situation, yell and argue at me that I was wrong. This is classic gaslighting. I nearly broke down in tears from his behavior towards me. Women who are assertive, speak with authority and ask questions for clarity do not deserve to be villified. I've been going to this particular salon for years and usually the service is great but today I had a horrible service encounter the technician from the moment I walked in, seem to have an attitude and her energy was not positive and my experience was not positive at all when you're in the service industry is very important that you have positive energy and that you treat your customers with respect and dignity I got none of that today and for that I will no longer be a customer at the salon and I will not recommend the salon to others. They are extremely clean, sanitize, and do touchless payments. The technician was quick and there was little no pain during the process. Today I asked to get my eyebrows done, the usual person that does my brows wasn't there....... She usually does me right and I'm satisfied with the job. Unfortunately today, I was handled with high unprofessionalism and rudeness by two workers. A lady does my eyebrows and the one on the right looks obviously uneven from the one on the left. I initially ask, "what happened to this one?" And she immediately has an attitude and asks "All I did was clean it up, what do you want me to fix?" So I remain silent, hand her the mirror, pay, and leave. I'm very frustrated at this point so I ask other people's opinion and they agree it's uneven. I go back in a bit frustrated and complain about the service. Instead of the two reacting in a positive manner , the lady tells me "you wanted a clean up, that's what I gave you." In the worse tone. She did not come to a solution instead told me she will not fix them, not give me a refund, and boldly kicked me out of the shop that's not even her business. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE This is not the way to treat customers. These two people should not be working there. The other person which was a man let the lady be extremely rude to a customer. This business is not the problem it's the people that are running it that have horrible skills. I came on a Sunday and there was nobody ahead of me and one "tech" inside, I didn't ask her name as she was kinda dry almost like she didn't feel like being bothered. Again, there were no other customers in there so she wasn't busy, but was not welcoming at all. She said they didn't have any wax available for the service I wanted which was disappointing but ok whatever. I came a long way to try this place so I just got the threading. Its like she couldn't wait to get me out of the chair, she did a super rush job, took maybe 5 mins total for my brows, lip and chin. I had to ask her to trim my eyebrows as if its not standard. I still have random stray hairs. Im not impressed and will not be back. Why bother opening if you dont want to take any customers? She could tell I was not happy and ignored me when i mentioned there was still hair and proceededto walk to the counter for payment. I'm trying to keep my pressure down these days so I just paid the $20 and left. Most definitely my first and last time wasting gas, time and money to come here.
