Dr. Sung should lose her license as a Dentist. She is rude and unprofessional and rushed us out when we came in. My 7 year old had her first visit with Dr. Sung a few months ago. She had a bad tooth, cheek swelled up one morning, we figured it was an infection and made a same day appointment with Tru Dental. Dr. Sung for our first time meeting, came in to see my daughter. She took 1 quick look at the tooth and swelling and told my mom and I she wouldn't send in for oral antibiotics that my daughter was in need of antibiotics through an IV. She was aggressive and shouted at both my mother and I. My husband takes my daughter to the ER that day. The ER told my husband that Dr. Sung pretty much pushed the problem elsewhere and that my daughter was nowhere close to needing an IV. The ER prescribed my daughter oral antibiotics. My daughter had her tooth pulled today by another pediatric dentist who was amazing in Hopewell Junction but Dr. Sung wrote the wrong tooth down in her referral letter. I will never send any of my kids there again and I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone else. On the bright side, being that my experience was as disturbing as it was with Tru Dental, we found a place for our 3 kids that was warm and gentle. read more

Always a cancellation.They have ur room door open other patients sitting by door while ur back is to doorway ur laying down in tiny room and other patients listening in your business looking in your mouth seeing work get done. They harass ur phone to confirm appointments. Old dentist that left stabbed my lip w needle because of tremors.Now there's a new one that's nice but never can explain in detail what's going on or stay on track always off to the next thing they say one thing and plan another with your insurance. 2 visits already and a malfunction with both those days mouth work .every appointment is 2 weeks to a month away even if you are in pain.These people only have one dentist and have the whole poughkeepsie NY on appointments. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Only reason my husband went here was because it was the only place that had an emergency appointment. My husband was in excruciating pain due to an infection from an unfinished root canal. So we decided to just take the appointment. Once we got to the clinic it looked outdated. There were holes in the chairs, and the ambiance of the clinic was so uninviting. The receptionist was talking sitting around listening to music, pretty much unbothered. We were called into a room around 20 minutes after we arrived, they performed ex-rays, and just regular protocol. But as I looked around I could tell they haven't deep cleaned this place in a while. Once they could finally find a provider to perform the extraction, we didn't know whether we should leave or not. So not being judgmental we stood. The provider was going back and forth from patient to patient. Leaving all the implements unattended every time he would leave the room. While performing the extraction they had only given my husband something to numb his gums. Although we had to sign a form if anything were to happen. While the provider was doing the extraction, I noticed my husband was in a lot of discomfort, then the provider was getting frustrated because the tooth wasn't cooperating properly while being extracted. After an hour once the tooth was finally removed, my husband told me as we were walking out of the hospital that the tooth next to the one that was extracted felt loose. He said he felt as though the provider was pulling on both teeth durning the extraction. My husband was never prescribed anything for the pain, and had bruising and swelling on his face. Luckily I had pain medication from when I got my wisdom teeth removed. 3 months pass, my husband keeps complaining that the tooth is still feeling loose, it hurts when he bites down or drinks anything. Terrible. Go someplace else. Last time we waited 25 minutes in the chair to see someone after the waiting room. This time it hit 40 minutes and we left. The woman at the desk told us the hygenist wasn't even there and the dentist was just gonna do that part, but for 40 minutes they left my 6 year old in the exam chair with no apology or explanation. This office is filthy and not well kept either. The one good thing is they're easy to get on the phone, but that doesn't matter much if the office doesn't care about your time. They text asking for a confirmation for your appt and then call you hours later anyway as well. Unnecessary and irritating. read more

I had appointment here with dentist to have a tooth removed. Dentist did remove tooth but never prescribe any antibiotics or pain medicine. I had more pain from the tooth being remove then when it was in my mouth. My sister is a nurse thank the heavens. My sister gave me antibiotics and Ibuprofen. My sister said the doctor should have at least prescribe me antibiotics so I don't get an infection. I didn't get pain medicine or antibiotics and I was in pain for 35 hours. I recommend you find another dentist or before you have any work done you ask the doctor will he be prescribing anything for you. I didn't ask those questions and I paid the price. read more

Terrible. Absolutely disgusting and filthy at the Poughkeepsie pediatric unit location. Never again will I step foot into that place. I dont know how they are up to code and health regulations. If i could give zero stars i would. This place should be reported for patient negligence. Went in on Tuesday afternoon 1:30pm with severe tooth ache and swelling, was seen and prescribed Amoxicillin, was told rx was being called in. Still no rx by 5pm and office closed. Next morning call dentist they say so sorry calling it in now, still no rx called in at 3pm, I call again , "they are working on it now" .. its 7pm office is closed still no rx. Now on day 2 and 48hrs later in excruciating pain i call office enraged, they say they are doing it now again. It has now been over 48hrs and i have a golf ball size swollen tooth in my mouth and have no antibiotics. The pain is unimaginable. If this infection goes to my brain i could die. Heading to ER now. Not only do they neglect their patients, there is no professionalism, rap playing with vulgarities, the walls haven't been painted in years, the floor in the exam room was filthy , actually had blood splatter on the floor, and the help and front desk staff were goofing off cussing and acting like they were in a bar. DO NOT GO HERE!! I will be reporting them to the hospital ER and obtaining an attorney. How could you sleep at night knowing your patient has been suffering for 2 days with a abscess tooth that could lead to brain and heart infections and potential death. Shame on you. You should loose your license to practice dentistry. read more
