Tru...truly? On the positive side: great checkin staff, good breakfast buffet, clean rooms, good indoor pool, pet friendly, quiet room on the 1st floor, cool/relaxed vibe with a pool table/games in the lobby area. One the negative side: to get here we had to drive through an older neighborhood, no nearby restaurants (we drove aways for food), small parking lot, $20 in taxes on a $140 room rate (total of $160 for an overnight visit).

I've now stayed here twice - just over a year apart. The experience is pretty consistently okay. These rooms are designed with simplicity in mind, packing a lot into a small space. The trouble comes in when the rooms, where every corner is used, are not kept clean and in good repair. This most recent time, there were issues with the shower and this eye-level cobweb next to the bed. Basic stuff. Be prepared for road noise all night from the interstate and the lights of the casino across the street. Staff are friendly, rooms are thoughtful without being overwrought. I've never encountered anyone here at all in the parking lot, so I'm not sure about the claims of rough neighborhood.

I had a good stay. Loved the spacious room and the design, although masculine. This hotel seems to be designed by geek millennials for millennials. It's perfect for traveling remote workers. The rolling desk and chair can be moved anywhere. Lots of parking, right across the street from a casino. Location is convenient to freeways and downtown Memphis. Front desk was inviting and helpful when needed. I also loved the full size Not Soap brand lotion, hand soap and shower gel. The scents are so fresh and so clean clean! My only issue during my visit was the noise from the freeway, difficulty connecting to internet, and I was provided ZERO face towels. Also, there is no microwave in any of the rooms. Although, there is a community microwave in the cafeteria, this is not ideal for people with food allergies, especially shellfish and peanuts. I would still stay in this hotel again, knowing what I know now and being prepared. Tip: If you're a light sleeper, get a odd number room or room not facing the freeway.

It was very modern and clean looking. They were welcoming, very friendly, and informative. However, we had a few unwelcome visitors this morning, roaches!!!! The room, and especially the elevators, needed more detailed cleaning. I told them at check out and she just said sorry

Not sure this would pass inspection

I'm being very generous with a 3-star rating. First, the price on the website was $107/night. When we booked it, the price was $182/night! Wow! How much taxes does west Memphis charge in taxes? Obviously not that much! Feels like a little deceptive advertising going on! When we get to the room, sure, it's clean enough for our comfort but some of the lights don't work and there's exposed wiring... expected far more for $182/night!!! Maybe the Red Roof Inn would have been better priced with working and safe electrical.

Check in was fast like it always is @ Hilton's and the room was clean and nice and cold & the shower had decent pressure. The bed was plush but not too soft so that was decent. Where this stay went to hell was getting trapped in the elevator for 15 dang minutes. The call button wasn't working and after about 10 minutes I was able to pry the door open about 6 inches but I discovered it was between floors. Naturally @ this point I was literally soaked in sweat and extremely frustrated. Out of nowhere it did start moving and was able to get out on the first floor to people standing there saying we could hear u but couldn't do anything. Naturally u know where I went & that's straight to the front desk saying wth is with your elevator and all she would say is yes we know it's having issues & my response was ok so why the crap don't u block it so your customers don't get stuck in it like I just did. She just gave me the deer in headlight look. I called 3 times to chat with the manager but I've had no luck getting a call back so I called corporate and there going to open a case into why it was handled the way it was

Great rooms they have nicer and more updated designs and breakfast options. But the front desk attendants are rude and not hospitable.

The pool is a really great addition to have, especially outside since it was blazing hot in September during our stay. The second door into the lobby locks after hours, meaning you need your room key to open it, which I feel was an extra beneficial layer of security. The breakfast was amazing with a beautiful seating area. The whole building was very clean and staff were very friendly. The beds were nothing to talk highly of, they were about 6" thick and as soon as you lay down, it feels as if you've bottomed out. We stayed two nights and had seen several places to call the front desk if we needed room service before, as they only clean every third day. Imagine our surprise when we left to go explore Memphis and came back and we were not able to get into our room with either of our keys. Once getting reprogrammed, we entered the room to find it had, in fact, been cleaned after one night, with all of our stuff out in the open. Overall, we had an exceptional stay here and if in the area again, we would consider staying here again.

So, we did the same thing this year and this experience has been just as pleasant as the last time so this just might be our go to hotel when traveling south. It was a great way to break up a long drive. This hotel also offers dinner until 10 and has a small bar. We ordered from the Radisson Bar and Grille last night for dinner and it was just what we needed after many hours on the road. It was so nice to not have to drive anywhere for dinner once arriving. Also, they have a complimentary breakfast which I loved.

Not this time. The desk employees are very nice and professional. The young lady thanked me for being a member and handed me my room keys. The whole check-in process took less than 2 minutes. Perfect. Though from there, the stay went sideways. The facility looks tired, worn, and not up to expected standards. Sticky floors in the elevator, smudges on the corridor walls, carpets that needed cleaning. In the room we had, it really wasn't that much better. More of the same, but maybe to a lesser degree. Still, not up to Holiday Inn standards. We asked for a room on the side of the building, not facing I-40, and that is a must. You can't hear yourself think when outside, and I can't believe that it's much better if you have a facing room. Our room on the opposite side of the building, though, was quiet. There was no highway noise at all. We were tired and just wanted to relax and catch up on the weather, so we turned on the TV. The screen was tinted purple. No way to fix it. Even my grandson, who is a wizard with electronics, couldn't figure it out. Cause we were all settled in, we made do. There's a lack of attention to detail at this Holiday Inn Express. Breakfast in the morning was a challenge in of itself. The fruit juice selections were watery, there was no batter in the pancake machine, and the overall appearance of the breakfast area was unappealing. Again, lack of attention to detail. The next morning wasn't any better. Though that morning, there was batter in the pancake machine, it ran out after 4 pancakes! The eggs, bacon, and cinnamon rolls weren't replenished, and this was still with an hour of breakfast remaining. It was almost as if the attendants thought, Oh well, they've had enough to eat. I'll continue to stay at Holiday Inn Express, but never at this location. Nor should you. Quick Tip: There's a peculiar smell that permeates the area. It smells like sewage. I don't know if it actually was or if it was a byproduct of manufacturing in the area. It's enough to dissuade one from staying in this location. Had I known of it, I definitely wouldn't have booked a room here.

The hotel is nestled a block of other similar brands of hotels. I booked a hotel through the Wyndham app and got a great deal on it. The hotel was bright and clean when I arrived, and the front desk gave me a room in the area that I requested. My room was a large, accessible king room as the hotel was almost at capacity. The room was large and fairly clean, and the bathroom was spotless. There were many outlets and charging ports available for my phones and devices, and the wifi had a clean, fast signal and was easy to connect to. The hotel has everything you need for one or more nights. It has a fitness center with new equipment, a pool (which was out of order at the time of my stay), guest laundry and a full breakfast with hot and cold choices. Restaurants, coffee, fast food and gas can all be found within minutes of the hotel, and there are more places to eat in West Memphis close to the hotel. Overall, I had a good stay with no issues, and I most certainly will stay at this hotel again. I had a King room on the first floor near the side exit of the building, and it was quiet that night.

I also don't expect much from a free breakfast and coffee, but it wasn't even edible. The room was not nearly cheap enough for it to be this gross.

While I didn't use any of those amenities, I probably would have if I arrived earlier or stayed longer. Everything was spotless, there were plenty of fresh towels & the pillows were nice & fluffy.
